Hi.
1. Lifestyle Magazine demo: how can I change the image of the AD next to the logo?
2. Lifestyle Magazine demo: how can I insert a customized banner instead of the AD?
3. Is it possible and How I can do to change the size of TD-composer elements (blocks, grids. etc) in the home page?
4. I resized my images to 1068×702 (to reduce crop effects), but now the loading of the home page is slow. Can you suggest me a way to minimize crop effects and to gain speed in home page loading?
Thanks.

Not too worried about the post titles, have changed most of them apart from the top grid.

Definitely last question I hope (thanks so much for all the support!): How do I get the category tabs on the thumbnails in the homepage Techniques block, not at the side with the article title? So they’re ON the picture like in all the other blocks? THANKS!

Hello Mariano Jonte,

If you want to make these elements to be more remarkable you should use a bit of CSS code to make these changes. As an example, please use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

@media (max-width:767px){.td-module-title{
font-size:20px!important;
}
}

The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/2bouHLrW4W

If you want to hide the category tags or meta information from your blocks you should turn off them from Theme panel, from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/e7i8w39Y -> https://www.screencast.com/t/r1LpiR407

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Then you could modify them all at once with custom code
https://www.screencast.com/t/Ldi4u1OW

.td-page-content p, .td-post-content p, .wpb_text_column p, .td_block_text_with_title p, .woocommerce #tab-description p, .mce-content-body p {
margin-bottom: 13px;
}

Use the code in either in theme panel custom code, or child theme stylesheet.

Thanks

Hi,

The block and widget titles font properties can be customized in the theme panel. This setting will make the block and widget titles lowercase if that is what you want

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need help with anything, we will try our best to reply as soon as possible.

Hi,

The images will be cropped, thumbnails will be created from them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
This center-top cropping was considered to be the best in general for the purpose. The resulting thumbnails would be affected by the image aspect ratios as well
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
The same images will result in different thumbnails for different block modules. This is how the theme handles the featured images and creates the thumbs.

Thanks

Hi,

The latest articles section will always be displayed on then bottom of the page, after the content of the page. It cannot be moved to a different location.
Consider using the available blocks and grids, for example a block can be named Latest articles, sorted by latest posts and placed on top of the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/9lvLSL90Z1q1
You can paginate blocks like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/cc2zqV2No
So you could create a replica of the Latest articles on top using a block, and deactivate the one on bottom. It can be deactivated by selecting a different page template

Hello, after several attempts, and with the limitations, I achieved that through a SLIDE block it looks more or less good in Desktop and in Mobile. Now I need a detail I want to make the title of the SLIDE in mobile more “strong” or bigger or highlighted, because the title is more “small” than the BLOCKS …
I have some CSS to do it ?.
On the other hand I would like to remove the “icon” from the eye and the number of visualizations for MOBILE so it does not occupy space in the home of the SLIDE. Also with a CSS line.
Thanks greetings.

Hi,

I would suggest to try without plugins, deactivate them all as a quick test, deactivate the minification and make some tests. Leave only Yoast and theme plugins active if possible. Clear all caching and try to share a post.
Since all the required meta and tags are present in the page source, something else might be causing the issue
https://developers.google.com/+/web/snippet/
All the requirements by Google are met. These are added by the Yoast plugin, the theme does not have any settings in the matter, or does it block the plugin functionality.

Thanks

Hello everybody,

does anybody know why the post images (featured images) aren’t full sized for the block ?

In the demo content all images are filling the whole div and at our sites the images are cropped.
We’ve used different sizes for testing (2304x1536px / 1021x 640px) but this doesn’t affect the output.

Demo page:
Demo

Portal page:
Portals

And here you’ll see how the images are cropped:
Cropped Images

What are the real sizes of the images which should be uploaded?

Every picture is cropped and we don’t the solution for this problem 🙁

Best regards,
Daniel

Hello edivaldobrito,

Do you are referring to the Infinite loading at the homepage? You should use a block with more posts and add it load more pagination from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rCDA1LUSc7yu

Thanks for the message!

Hello edivaldobrito,

You should simply use a Block, at the top of your homepage and sort it by Latest Articles.

Thanks for the message!

Hello,

The latest post loop will show all of the articles you have. You can limit the number shown on each page but not the whole number. This can only be done on individual blocks. The solution here would be not to use the page builder + latest articles section. Instead switch to the default template and create a block named latest articles and limit the pagination for it to the number of posts you want.

Thank you!

Hi,

That is what is supposed to happen, the block is stretched to cover the full available width. There is no limitation as I mentioned above, unless manually selecting a specific width in the row settings.
Or if the website has a background color or image set through the theme panel. If a background is set, the row containers will be limited.
So stretch the row if you must, and maybe add more posts to the block to populate the whole space

Hello DaveE,

First of all, ensure that you are using right images for your website and then, you should regenerate your thumbnails using the Force Regenerate and Thumbnails Regenerate according to our useful manual from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Thanks for the message!

Hi damagaff,

You should use a bit of CSS code if you want to change the hyperlinks color for your sidebar. Please try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td_block_text_with_title a{
color:#1F2338!important;
}

The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7pR9tRQ8jiZX

Thanks for your understanding!

New user here… and I can’t figure out how to 1) access the block settings or 2) use the tagDiv Composer. I’m using the Newspaper 8 with the sample posts/images. When I’m on the ‘home page’ and I click “edit with TD composer’ in the top nav bar, I get taken to a page where I can add an element… but there’s not content on the right side of the page (on Newspaper 8’s training video… the video shows content on the right side of the page that can be edit… my screen is blank). When I go to an existing page in the demo, and click on ‘Edit with TagDiv Composer’, i get the same thing: ability to add an elemnent (showing on the left side of the screen… and a totally blank page on the right 2/3 of the page… in other words, nothing to click on to edit the block content titles.) I’ve read the tagDiv Composer tutorial and Block settings guide… but can’t figure it out. Can you help me understand (e.g. step-by-step how to edit content block titles… and, when I’m in TagDiv composer, how can I see the content to edit as shown in the TagDiv composer training video). Thank you.

Hello friends, from yesterday to today TagDiv Composer stopped working suddenly for no reason.

When you try to edit any page or even a new page, it tries to load, however it enters infinite loading, without opening the visual composer editor blocks.

In the inspect Chrome browser console function, the following error appears:

x Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘next’ of undefined

js_files_for_wrapper.min.js:18

at Object.multiNext (js_files_for_wrapper.min.js:18)
at Object.parse (js_files_for_wrapper.min.js:18)

at Object.init (js_files_for_wrapper.min.js:365)
at js_files_for_wrapper.min.js:385

See the printscreen: https://www.screencast.com/t/gmmbZuKbLC

Remember that I tried everything, accessed through several browsers, disabled all the plugins and even tried to go back to the previous version of Newspaper, but nothing worked.

The only thing different that I remember doing yesterday, before the problem, was to test the new function to save sections (shortcodes, rows) the templates, to use them on other pages. However, I do not know if this may have influenced the error.

I hope you find the fault.

Thank you!

Is there any reason why, when i work through step 5 on this list https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

That The code that appears at the top of the page doesn’t match with the code appearing in google page speed insights. Is there any other way or plugin to complete this task?

Hi,

I get the same as you if I change the settings to stretch but it does it to the full width of the screen and not the container it’s in.

If you lok at my website fertilityroad.com I have Block 1 setup. But as you will the box is the full width of the container.

Below Block 1 I have Big Grid 3 which has the images in the whole container.

I’m not sure Block 1 doesn’t do that.

Hi,

I see the issue now, sorry for misunderstanding. The titles are loading partially, the link is present but the actual text is missing for some reason
https://www.screencast.com/t/AhpVvJGufd
This is highly unusual, I have not seen this before. It could be the result of theme customization, modifications in the files. Or maybe the result of a plugin conflict.
Check any theme modifications you might have made, custom code entered, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear all caching.
I have tested this block as a widget, but these issues are not happening in my tests

That’s great re the categories, blocks etc. Got it now!
Re the sidebar, there are currently three other widgets in it under the ad box. You probably didn’t scroll down far enough because of the very white space I was talking about! There are a td image widget, a latest posts widget and a categories widget. I tried to drag another element into the empty space under the ad but it wouldn’t accept it? The ad widget doesn’t show in the WP widgets control panel, though. I loaded the code via the td theme panel.

Yes don’t miss.

Right now the menu in the don’t miss block displays all categories. How can I limit the menu to display only a subset of categories that I want to put on the block ? The tutorial said nothing about this. Please help
