Please download the latest update 6.1 and update the theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ then also update theme’s plugins then check this without any other plugins active, leave just theme’s Visual Composer empty all cache then check your browser’s console if those mixed content notifications to fonts still appear and let us know.

For caching: are you using a CDN? Are you on a vps server with custom APC/opcache settings ?

I´m using Newspaper v.6.1 and i have a problem. I use W3 Total Cache Plugin but when use this plugin the images of news doesn´t appear in every place of my website and I don´t know what is the problem. Anyone have the same problem and knows how fix it? Thank you very much 🙂

I see that in the documentation is recommended W3 Total Cache, I have changed it also there. We tested WP Super Cache with the theme and we decided to recommend it to be used with Newpaper theme, it seems to be faster. Also we recommend to be used as default (no minify). Sorry for misunderstanding!

The css issue may be caused by a plugin, try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and Bbpress and see if the issue is still there.
If you use a cdn or external cache disable it while testing.
If you use the child-theme switch to the main theme and see if the css is there.

@bgo I’ve also checked your site and didn’t found the author and date under post’s title so using panel’s settings seem to have done it. Make sure that you also empty all caches (browser’s also), purge files if you use cloudflare’s cdn host then check again.
Let us know if you experience any other issues and as Chris also pointed you should take care of those console errors and for that make sure that you use just theme’s plugins and no other js/css/html compression then check again.

The theme uses featured images to display posts on pages, it generates thumbs from those images to keep the page size as low as possible.

2. Then check if the thumbs used on your modules are enabled – http://screencast.com/t/4A8qWhlovXW (disable the unused ones)
3. Next regenerate the thumbs – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
4. Check the error.log to see if there are any strange errors which may cause high cpu usage.

1. I have checked you header add and found that you use Ad rotate so the option from Theme Panel > Ads to hide it on mobile will not work as you don’t use the adsense code directly there. You can hide it via custom css: http://screencast.com/t/rMVWKxY7ILe

Theme cannot change yor logo color so you can upload a different logo for mobile or change the mobile menu color using this solution – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-mobile-header-color/#post-54699 We will add an option in Theme Panel to change color of the mobile menu in a future update.
4. Not sure what you mean, I have checked and you don’t have any Big Grid above footer, please clear cache.

Please make sure that you use the latest version of the Social Counter plugin, activate it from here – http://screencast.com/t/fbtak2Eul and check the version – http://screencast.com/t/aa65c4EnBk If you need to update you can find it in the /plugins from files that you have downloaded from themeforest.
Also you can check this only with Visual Composer and Social Counter plugins active(deactivate other plugins), clear cache and see if you still have this issue.

Yes the menu problem is solved and you can not see it because i have updated the theme to 6.1 version, but now i am having another problem.

Hi,
Did you tried to remove the old theme before updating the theme? You have this issue because the old elements files(icons files) are still from the version 4 of the theme. So please make sure that the old theme files are removed. You can also try to replace those files with files provided in the new package that you have downloaded from themeforest – http://screencast.com/t/efvmLsNHhD and also clear cache.

I’ve got 25,000 pages with no problem; so something funky going on obviously!
If you’re using the visual editor it may stay on one line, if you’re using the text editor it should wrap; it’s a function of WordPress.
You may need to clear all your caches on server; and reinstall the theme, making sure you upload via FTP and your FTP software set to properly encode text and binary files; turn off all plugins except visual composer, etc. to debug your issue.
Without a link those of use who offer to help on forum can’t be of any help.

But until Newspaper 6 update I see WP Super Cache plugin on that page as “5. Use a cache plugin (WP Super Cache)” and in your Speed Booster plugin’s code.
Which one do you suggest?

Already using Theme 6.1 and 3.0 the plugin.
Username nontiendoDS showing 0 and we have over 5K followers.
Already emptied CACHE.

si solo usas visual composer puedes dejar speed booster
Pero si tienes otros plugins que son incompatibles es mejor usar el above the fold ya que ese no es incompatible.

sobre cachear la db depende de tu servidor, si estás en un shared de nada te ayuda, si estás en un vps o dedicado puedes dedicar mas recursos a la base de datos o cachear desde el servidor lo cual será mejor que con un plugin

Finalmente me he decantado por una instalación limpia y por ahora todo bien.
Sigo teniendo un par de dudas, a ver si puedes ayudarme.
1º He comprado e instalado WP Rockets, ¿podrías indicarme que configuración has puesto?.
2º En el tutorial dices que si usamos Visual Composer, dejemos el plugin speedbooster. En cambio, al final del tutorial recomiendas usar “Above The Fold Optimization”. Si usamos VC, ¿por cual nos decantamos finalmente?.
3º Por lo que he investigado, WP Rockets no cachea la BD, ¿es recomendable usar otro plugin para dicho cacheo?.

1) try disabling all plugins except visual composer
2) don’t use child theme; activate main theme
3) turn off/clear caching if using before doing anything; if using caching turn off all minification settings
4) turn off mod_pagespeed if using to clear caching
5) if using CDN server; you need to “retire/refresh” cache
6) if installing via FTP, make sure your FTP software set to automatically upload files properly (e.g., as text or binary depending on type of file)
7) make sure you have enough memory allocated; you may need to edit your wp-config.php file in your root WP folder to increase default memory from 40MB to at least 96MB (128MB recommended)

Traté de copiar pegar en el final de su código en functions.php pero no funciona.
Quizás calle detrás falta o que no pegue el código donde debe estar?
Me parece caché total de W3 a lo complejo de configurar.
Así que antes de comprar Rocket, activé el modo de Falcon en Wordfence.
¿Podrías por favor hacer una prueba de velocidad con la configuración con este cuarto systme?
