This is more common with complex menus with mega menus where the items in the mega menu are changing fairly often and less likely to be cached (e.g., post loops, vs simply product info pages on a corporate site)… since a complex mega menu is in many ways an entire webpage on its own, it can delay the rest of the page loading as it’s a whole new set of page queries.

For fastest speed, don’t use a mega menu.

You might NOT be using one, but that has been my own experience anyway.

Hi,

Please make sure that after enabling or disabling this feature you empty all caches and also try this without any plugins active.
Also please consider that this feature, when enabled, it pulls and puts together the top most viewed posts that have been viewed in the last 7 days so it dose not matter if a specific post, added in a block which uses a post sorting of this type, it’s 5 or 6 or 7 years old as long as it has been the most viewed post from last 7 days, so it’s ok if a post that is old it’s added to this list.
Please let me know!

Thanks

ok, here is something strange i noticed: after installing the VC plugin (from a fresh download of your theme) it told me it was on 4.3.5, after clearing the cache it now says it’s 4.3.4 again. what could be wrong here?

Hi,

No. The theme uses different image sizes for on module/blocks/menu.
For old content the image thumbs don’t exist so the original image will be loaded and you need to regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
I also suggest you empty cache/purge files if you sue any cache plugin or CDN host services.

Thanks

Hello,

I am using total cache with page cache only, but still want to show the most popular posts the last 7 days. The problem now is that the most popular posts the last 7 days is not updating. I have enabled the option to use ajax under the post setting menu, but still no updates!

Is this a problem or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for good support guys!

Hi,

I have also tested this how you’ve reported it however I haven’t found any issues when using bbpress latest version, all work as expected.
Please also test this without any plugins installed, empty cache and purge files if you are using any CDN host services then check again.
Also make sure that you check your console for js errors, let me know how it goes and also provide your site’s URL so I can inspect this.

Thanks

Hi,

I have inspected your site and seems that you are right, the post excerpt which is not added causes the post images to come one after another because they are set via css to float to left.
Please also try this without plugins to make sure that this is not due to any of them and also empty cache, purge files then try again.
Also please try to ad the same post content in the visual editor then save your post and try if this still happens.
You can also use this css to fix this:

.td_module_11 .td-module-thumb {
clear: both;
}

.td_module_11 {
min-height: 220px;
}

Please let me know!

Thanks

Hi,

1. The ad could also be blocked, this will also show up in your browser console if you check it.
This troubleshooter could also help: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1208336?hl=en

2. Please also test the embedded code on a WordPress default theme and also check it without any plugins active, empty cache and purge files if you use CDN.
Please let me know how it goes!

Thanks

Hi,

Using the theme right should solve your issue and the post already uses the feature video for all thumbs, big slider also. The video is added inside the post but an feature image is also used: http://screencast.com/t/rnLRSaOt
I suggest you disable all plugisn, empty cache, purge files then edit that post remove the image then set another one, beast will be to upload a new image then check again. After doing this set the video url back to it and update the post.
Also try to test this using another video url and create anew post to check how it behaves.
Please let me know!

Thanks

Did you fully clear your server cache before and after switching themes?

We have our own dedicated server with caching, and mod_pagespeed, and with couple of sites we need to “clear” everything to get one site to load files properly, as some of the old code/theme stuff was cached and so the images were, in effect, doing some kind of redirect, almost like a loop.

Couple of good clean house cleaning on the server cache and a full server reboot and it all worked again.

Not saying it will help … but I’m running couple of image heavy sites and stuff loads fairly quick.

Hi,

I have checked your site on IE and I didn’t found that issues:
http://screencast.com/t/f9avL1RemM
http://screencast.com/t/SLq2Xjed
http://screencast.com/t/cJmNJndel

Please make sure you use last theme version(4.6.1) and if you are not, update the theme using this guide and the FTP method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ Also update Visual Composer plugin from the /plugins folder that was provided together with the theme files when you’ve downloaded.
After that please deactivate all plugins, leave only Visual Composer active and try again. Also make sure you empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked your site and noticed that your issue is not happening because of Firefox browser or only if using it as I have also found this issue on chrome browser and it seems that the custom fonts you have added and use are not found: http://screencast.com/t/gFnVbtMSA
Please make sure that you add and use them right using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-custom-fonts/
If this is still not working please also test this without any plugins and make sure you empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services.

Thanks

Can you tell me please how to disable ajax images load feature?
I don’t know why, but it cause very slow images load problem (feel like it’s load one by one with long waiting process).
Patient: http://applemix.ru
Server load 0-30%, we use nginx with nginx microcache option (try to turn off, doesn’t change anything) + phpfpm with opcache. Before (with previous custom theme) we have 0-2 sec load for mainpage, with newsmag is from 6 to 20 sec… and gtmetrix time line show’s horrible images load speed.

Hi,

The ajax system works based on js so check your console for js errors and also check this without any plugin active and also make sure you empty cache and purge files.
I’m not sure to which grid columns shortcodes you refer too so please provide more details about this.
The list style was modified so you can use this arrow list format: http://screencast.com/t/MJVb7iNwl
See this post: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/bullet/
I will add this on our feature requests list and we will consider it for future updates, however we have almost 200 feature requests and we have to pick very carefully what we implement, if more people will request this we will consider it and do it.
You can also add it like this: http://screencast.com/t/UziMcrzL
Result: http://screencast.com/t/BqCMstIi

Thanks for your suggestion and for your message!

Hi,

Please check the version of tagdiv social counter widget you use and if it’s not version 2.8 please remove it then install it from the /plugins folder that was provided with theme files: http://screencast.com/t/apG7ZmCneBC
If you still have issues with this please make sure you sue the social counter right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-social-counter/ and also try it without any other plugins active and make sure you empty cache.
If nothing helps please provide a link to a page which contains the social counter with this issue so I can check this.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks

Hi,

I have checked your site again and did noticed that even if the ‘Droid Serif’ font family is set the ‘Times New Roman’ is rendered: http://screencast.com/t/qOraBNesH
I’ve also checked your page source and noticed that ‘Droid Sans’ is loaded: http://screencast.com/t/lsyHvLY3a
Please make sure that you disable html/css/js minify option as I’ve noticed you use it compressed and also disable plugins/ empty cache and purge files if you use CDN.
This should not happens if you use the latest theme version (1.4) as I have also checked this and haven’t found any issues with this, the fonts are loaded and rendered fine: http://screencast.com/t/1dSQ61HRb
If nothing solves this I suggest you re-upload your theme files via FTP using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and make a backup of your current theme installation in case something goes wrong.

Thanks

Hi,

I checked your site and I found JavaScript errors in console: http://screencast.com/t/PJbZgOA0 which means that a plugin’s script is conflicting with theme’s js and causes this.
Please make sure that you use this right using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-newsmag/
and check this without any plugins active, empty all caches/purge files if you use CDN host services then check again (leave just the Visual Composer plugin active).

I have also tested this with last theme update(1.4) and found no issues with it: http://screencast.com/t/zsDoB2yfJD

Thanks!

You would need to sort out how to connect your caching to save caches and load caching from your CDN. Some CDN’s do that for you, which makes local caching redundant. Very tricky to setup; not really theme related, though. Lots of articles on this in Google (I went through this a year ago; we ended up not using CDN but we have dedicated server.)
