Hi,
Make sure that you also empty cache and purge files if you any cache plugin or CDN host services. You can also use your browser’s inspect tool: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools and check if the changes were made and double check your code to see if you’ve applied it right.
Thanks
Adding to these:
1. is there any way to show a message when a coment has been posted? I’m using a cache plugin to handle the traffic and it purges cache only when articles are published, so when a user publishes a comment he just gets a reloaded page with no comment or message in it.
2. How can I make the borders separating widget blocks on the home page thicker ?
3. How can I add a separator betweet articles in the mobile page? Right now they are not separate and it is cumbersome to navigate through the front page.
4. How can I change the border color for the delimiters in the front page?
5. How can I separate the lines between borders in the front page?
Multumesc!
You need to be sure to clear all your cache both on server and your web browser.
Be sure you followed my “moving from one to the other” instructions for the migration, also 🙂
For example this demo post is obviously running Newspaper and *not* Newsmag, as it’s “widescrenn” — with wider layout with no borders:
http://lordreamrichard.com/2015/01/td_d_slug_45/
So, that page is clearly *not* running Newsmag theme.
I tried clearing my browser cache. Same results.
I am getting to wonder if it has something to do with recent update. I am seeing a link within wordpress dashboard on top that says “delete cache”. are you referring to that?
Hi,
I have also tested this using the main theme, altered a bit the code provided by @historiek like this: http://screencast.com/t/SG7aq7X0
Create the file like @historiek instructed above then add this code into it: http://pastebin.com/d2rVkszD
Check the page source to see if the script is loaded: http://screencast.com/t/wCsTvUYs
The modal view should be added to all images within post content which don’t have caption.
Make sure you check your browser’s console to see if you have any js errors in there. If you have make sure you disable all plugin leaving just VC active, empty cache and try again.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
I have also tested this and tried to recreate it but haven’t found any issues with this. Please check your browser’s console for errors and make sure that your check this without any plugins active, empty all caches/purge files if you sue CDN host services then check again (leave just the Visual Composer plugin active).
Please let me know if you still have issues after doing this and also provide your site’s URL so I can inspect this.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that you install the latest version of speed booster plugin (3.1). You can find it within the /plugins folder from theme files you’ve downloaded from theme forest. After that check for this again without any other plugins active and also empty cache.
If you still experience this issues you can also try this solution: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/about-default-theme-colors/
Thanks
Hi,
@deelauaki Please check your console for errors and make sure that your check this without any plugins active, empty all caches/purge files if you sue CDN host services then check again (leave just the Visual Composer plugin active).
@rnbjunk I have checked your site an noticed several different posts on your homepage besides the one you’ve mentioned so I guess that you’ve managed to fix this.
Please let me know and I suggest you also check your console for errors and disable all plugins if you still have issues with this.
Thanks
Hi! We launched our new version of the site based on Newspaper theme.
We are still having issue with the speed, especially on mobile layout.
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rnbjunk.com%2F
We are using W3 as suggested, only Page Cache and Browser Cache activated. MaxCDN, Cloudflare, and Speed Booster TagDiv, with Speed Booster Pack.
Could someone give us assistance?
Thank you
Hi,
Please make sure that you have this option enabled: http://screencast.com/t/HJHorbKO and also make sure you update and use the latest theme version (4.6.1) and also test this without any plugins active (leave active just VC) and empty cache.
Let me know if you still have issues after doing this.
Thanks
Hi,
I have noticed this now. Please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and also empty cache then check again.
In some cases this turned out to be due to the tagdiv speed booster plugin as this plugin moves the css and js automatically to the bottom of the page.
We suggest to deactivate all plugins to make sure this doesn’t happen due to others plugins you use and if this issue persists please let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
@Piso6 As Chris stated you also need to update the theme to the latest version (1.4) and the Visual Composer plugins also so please make sure you download the latest theme version from themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads then update the theme using the FTP method from this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and the Visual Composer following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
If you still have issue after doing this please make sure you also empty cache and check this without any plugins active so disable all plugins, leave just the VC plugin active then empty cache/purge files if you sue CDN then check again.
Please let me know how this goes and also provide your site’s URL.
Thanks
Disregard, looks like we’ve solved it (manually deleted the cache-folder via cpanel. Probably due to switching cache-plugins).
Hi!
We have a strange issue with some of our articles. For some reason they won’t load with the new wonderful newsmag theme.
1. When logged in the articles look like they should. For those who’s not logged in the error occurs
2. We have latest wordpress version installed, re-installed it just in case (same goes for all plugins)
3. Cache has been cleared.
4. This error onlye applies to some posts.
An example of a post:
http://serienytt.no/2014/09/fjernsynt-podcasten-episode-14/
Do you have any idea of what the issue might be?
Hi,
I also tested this and found no issues with these settings: http://screencast.com/t/yjvN4bGhOlpx
Result: http://screencast.com/t/CVbNsk8SXrDe
Please also test this without any plugins active(only Visual Composer active) and empty cache.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure you have all thumbs enabled in theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/2Q61wQ9qUxU
Then regenerate thumbnails and also make sure you have GD library installed and writing permissions on /wp-content/uploads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
Also make sure you empty cache and try this without any plugins active.
Please let me know if you still have issues with it after doing all this.
Thanks
Hi,
If you are using the latest theme version you can find that loaded fonts here: http://screencast.com/t/cJ7eBGRLNB As you can see there are just those two loaded.
In your case the GTMetrix reports a missing cache validator for those fonts. You can see our page speed guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-speed-guide/ ..point 2 (Set the Leverage Browser Caching) and add the .woff files.
You can find more info here: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCaching#LeverageBrowserCaching
Thanks
Hi,
I tested this myself and I haven’t found any issues with quotes on mobile screens: http://screencast.com/t/QNo42lHQ8Ea
You can also check this on our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/td-post-the-oriental-experience-chew-pan-asia-cafe/
Please make sure you have the theme latest version(1.4) and you can also test this without any plugins active and empty cache. Let me know if this still happens and provide a link so I can inspect this.
Thanks!
Not having this issue on any of our websites? Something unique to your site.
Can you be more specific about what you’re seeing, and a possible link to page where the problem is?
Did you clear all your site cache/CDN caching before and after upgrade?
Same issue here! We launched the new version of the site just today, new post are not showing in homepage after the slider, even if we selected “latest”!
W3 cache settings are like you suggested. Please help us ASAP! Thank u

Hi,
Not sure about this so please try this without any plugins active, leave just the Visual Composer plugin active and try again and also make sure you empty cache and purge files if you sue any CDN host services.
Also I suggest you go trough wp-touch plugin settings for this and also address this to plugins support page.
Thanks
Hi,
The issue you have is not due to your ads. This usually happens when using the tagdiv speed booster plugin which moves the theme style to the footer which causes this delays on loading the style and for a moment your site appears unstyled.
First please try this without any plugins active, leave just VC and speed booster and empty cache.
I’ve noticed you use the 4.6 theme version. Please download latest theme version from themeforest, update it and also update you VC plugin and also the speed booster plugin from the /plugins folder then test for this again and let me know if this still happens.
Use this guides and do the same for the speed booster also:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Thanks

hi sorry for the delay,
Are you sure the issue is due to high cpu load? This is very unusual because usually the weakest link is the HDD/SSD (high I/O wait).
can you give me the output from sar:
sar 1 10
you should get something like this in 10 seconds http://screencast.com/t/KpiNQkRbBg
I would also suggest to make a test with the default theme from wordpress because that many posts are really pushing the limits of WordPress and MySQL (IF it’s not properly configured). The theme uses about 30% more queries than the default wordpress theme and it adds up with each block that you add to the homepage / sidebar.
Please know that issues like this are very hard to debug and the high cpu load can come from a variety of reasons including: high traffic + server that is not properly configured, poor cache choices / configurations, poor mysql configuration, slow hdd/ssd, no php op cache, WordPress limits (at that many posts, wp is almost at it’s limit and if you search a bit on the web about this you will find that it is terribly slow with many posts), etc…

Hi,
This paragraph tag seems to be added to the slide: http://screencast.com/t/y8inVYK2 an cuses this.
Not sure how this happens, make sure though that you disable and check this without any other plugins active and leave just the Visual Composer active then also empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services and try again.
I have also tested this and haven’t encountered any issues of this type using the latest theme version (4.6.1).
Please let me know how this goes.
Thanks
