Tips: properly compress images prior to upload; test scores with ad networks *disabled* so you can see payload/impact of each as you add them. This gives you actual baseline. Setup proper cache and TTL policies for your website (not related to theme).

Support will post some links here I’m sure, but ideally disable *all* your ads and then retest for your baseline. Then look at the help/info from GTmetrix as starting point in optimization.

Hello,

Yes, there are some issues with the Sitegroung Optimiser and cache plugin, using the theme.
They have a cache, that doesn’t work 100% with the theme.
When the problem arises then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide there the wp-admin and cPanel access.
Also, include the topic in the email.

Hello Anamaria yes it working because I’ve been on to my hosting site and saved the page again. But soon within the next few hours it will not work again. Ive just been playing around trying to fix the problem. It won’t work again soon tho unless I go back on to the sign up page on the tagdiv editor and save the page again. I do think that you are correct about a cache from my hosting site siteground. They have a Siteground Optimiser built in that does caching I think that this could be causing the problem but I am just guessing and not really sure. Have you come across the siteground optimiser caching causing problems before with other customers. I really have no idea why it keeps happening. Im guessing when the hosting site does the caching on my website its causing the problem. Its very annoying as I cant advertise my website untill the problem is solved. Thank you for your help

Hello,

This sounds like a caching issue. You can check if is a plugin conflict by checking only with the theme plugins enabled. But since you say when you are logged was working correctly, then it can also be a cache or object cache https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you have and the server.
Also, what version of the theme do you have?

Thank you!

Hello @artetsu!

However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website. A good choice for the page speed, it could be the mobile layout which contains less elements because it can improve a bit your page speed.
There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.

Thank you for understanding!

Hi,

I installed the Center Pro theme for my homepage and use the Center Pro single posts, as well. During the last week, my website broke and continues to break and fix itself 2-3 times a day. My mobile goes down with the same code as well. When that happens, I get a strange code I’ve never seen. I checked with Bluehost and they didn’t see anything on their end that causes it to break and are unfamiliar with the broken code. I have WP Super Cache and Jetpack and neither seem to help. Can you help me figure out if it’s anything wrong with the theme or plugins? Thank you!

Hi,
I typed the name of the photographer as an image caption and added a hyperlink to that caption. The system saves it but when I go to the post I don’t see the caption but if I click and drag my mouse underneath the photo I can see the caption. I already clean my cache and I still have the same issue. Am I missing something when I’m entering captions? Thank you in advanced for your assistance.

Hi All plugins are on for the theme. I only disabled no theme plug-ins like w3 fastest cache etc.
Is there a developer I can pay to get my header back???

Hello,

Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

I hope this helps.

Thank you!
