Hello!

I am using the Mintyside mobile theme and the Pulses Pro desktop theme.

Here is a screenshot of the mobile version when it works properly. Good: https://paste.pics/C40J8

Here is a screenshot of the mobile version when it caches to the desktop theme. I think that’s the problem. Bad: https://paste.pics/C40JU

My webhost says they can solve this issue if you give them the cookie that can allow them to stop caching the mobile page.

This is what they said: “Since the theme is managing the mobile version of the site, ask if there is a cookie. You can give it to us and we can add an exclusion for it. Where it would be in the theme I am not sure, but the theme dev/support may have a better idea of any cookies that are set for just mobile that we could use to exclude the mobile version from caching.”

Thanks for in advance for your help,

Sean

Hello,

Please make sure that you are using the last theme version, Newspaper v10.4 and last WordPress version 5.7.
Also, make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

I suggest setting the permalinks from WordPress-> Settings-> Permalinks, on Plain => https://www.screencast.com/t/aQVuDCyS and see if there are any changes.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Hello @docmandoo!

Please make sure your WordPress, TagDiv plugins are up to date.
Try to reinstall the TagDiv Composer plugin, if the problem is still there please start looking for a plugin conflict.
Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
If you use default templates and your settings are missing, then make sure you have Standard Pack installed and active.

Let us know about your results!

Thank you!

Hello,

This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin. Therefore, do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

My server takes care of caching as part of the service so I cannot install WP Super Cache. They asked me to ask you for the mobile cookie so that the webhost can exclude it from caching. Could you please let me know what to tell them? Thanks in advance,
Sean

Hello !

That is because your server was maybe configure to work with 1 type of caching solution. As we recommend for Newspaper Theme to work with WP Super Cache.

In the image you have sent those are recommendations, If your website runs better using our suggestion my recommendation is to leave it with WP Super Cache. Also please note that having more than 1 caching plugins is not a good practice.

Thank you !

Hello,

1. If I understood it correctly you want to make the layout full width, then to change the website width, you need to make sure that you don’t have set a background color/image in the Theme Panel because this makes your website boxed. Make sure this option is disabled => https://www.screencast.com/t/ejiNPCBF
To set a page to full width, you’ll need to edit it with tagDiv Composer like this -> https://i.imgur.com/i5IUJ9E.jpg add or select a row and stretch it after your needs -> https://i.imgur.com/WKYebPX.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/TO1BZ3M.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Yq8UCv3.jpg
2. I am not sure I fully understand what you are looking to edit, and what you mean with the fullscreen.
Maybe you referring to remove the white space from here => https://www.screencast.com/t/ZaYJdjW3, if yes, then you need to set the margin left and right on the row to -20 => https://www.screencast.com/t/AplrIm3zs5
You can use this method for both (mobile responsive version or mobile page)
3. For the category page, the issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,
In my mobile menu I have 5 items. The first two show the colors I changed in the Theme Colors of Mobile Theme configuration. But the the other 3 show the default colors.
I check all the configuration and I can not see this colors in my Mobile Theme configuration.
I deleted the cache every time I do some changes in my theme.

Can you help me to have the same colors always?
Many thanks,
Alex
