- TutorialsWhat is Ajax preloading?
Hello,
1. Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
Also, please let me know what plugin you use for the cache now.
2. Please progvide the linkt ot your website.
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m glad you created your own topic for this issue. Please, in the future, create your own topic even if the problem is similar, as the cause and solution can vary from one user to another.
Please try to exclude those javascript from your plugin for cache
-> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tdMenu.js
-> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tdAjaxSearch.js and check after because I see that you use a plugin to minify the js.
Thank you!
Hello @eman!
Everything looks ok in your screenshots. It’s strange and it should work.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
If the problem is still there, then contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
We will check the issue and let you know what can be done there.
Thank you!
Hello @sotirow96!
They should work. Please check that all the settings are the same as the original ones. Verify the settings you’ve applied for those taxonomies. Clear all your cache.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please clear the cache.
Thank you!
Hello @Kirti!
Unfortunately, we have no feature that can do this in our theme.
This feature should come from an extra plugin that you use.
Deactivate all plugins except tagDiv ones (plugins by plugin); if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again. In this mode, you can see which plugin created the issue.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try to use wp rocket and check after.
Also, please let me know what issue you have using the lite speed cache plugin.
Normally, it works, but depends on what settings you have enabled.
Thank you!
Hi,
I am Assadujaman from Nagorik Television. It is a satellite television of Bangladesh. We are using the Newspaper theme.
We got the litespeed cache plugin with hosting. Our Page Performance score was up to 97 when using the litespeed cache. But we were having some loading or Broken issues. Then we stopped using the litespeed cache and started using your recommended WP Super Cache. But performance score is showing 85.
If you use WP Super Cache settings, you will get a very good performance score or if you use a light-sized case, if you use these settings, there will be no problem.
Thank You

I apologize, I’m not that technical, so please bear with me. All my articles (I have hundreds) now have images clickable, and when clicked they show as a full size jpg with the full url of the image. The only way to get back to the article is to use the browser back button. I don’t want this feature. Something in the new update has turned this on and I ca’t figure out what as I am not technical enough.
I have turned off GENERAL MODAL IMAGE, DISABLE MODAL IMAGE ON MOBILE, and SMARTLIST MODAL IMAGE, and dumped the cache and restarted pages, but there is no effect.
Example article (old article): https://islandfishermanmagazine.com/3-tips-for-better-float-fishing/
In a new article I posted today, if I turn modal image on, then the image doesn’t have that functionality, which is the way I want all my article images to be, as they were before the update. In the same article, the feature image does not have an option.
today’s article:
https://islandfishermanmagazine.com/reel-in-relaxation-with-nootka-marine-adventures/
I really need help to make all the images in my entire site not clickable and expanding, as they were before this update, please.
Hello @stringbenderb5 !
Go to the Newspaper -> Theme panel settings -> Press the button save settings, clear the cache and check the results.
Thank you!
Hello!
I’ve checked your website, and I can see no issue there. Please clear all your cache and try again in an incognito window. Which browser do you use?
Thank you!

2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. install TagDiv Composer
4. activate TagDiv Composer
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,
Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also, please let me know what plugin for the cache you use now.
Thank you!
Hello!
This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
Hello!
Delete the one from the theme panel and let the one in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Site Identity. Clear all the cache and the cache from your browser.
Thank you!
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I’m encountering regarding my license key and domain association.
My domain is bulletinweb.com, and I have successfully associated my license key with this domain. However, when I check the “My License” section on the theme panel, it displays a message stating, “No domains associated with your license key.”
This issue is preventing me from making necessary theme changes on my website, and I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving it promptly.
I have double-checked the key association, cleared my browser cache and cookies, and followed the documentation provided. Despite these efforts, the problem persists.
Could you please investigate this matter and rectify the domain association for my license key? If there are any additional steps I need to take or if you require further information from my end, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to assist.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Hi,
I recently started using the single post template called ‘Today News Pro.’
After implementing this template, I wanted to ensure that the color of the ‘Site Identity Logo’ matched the theme color.
To achieve this, I uploaded a new logo sized 16 x 16 in ‘Theme Panel > Header > Logo & Favicon > Favicon’ and a larger version sized 512 x 512 in ‘Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.’
While I encountered no issues with the logo displaying correctly on the home page or post page, a problem arose when I clicked ‘Edit with TagDiv Composer’ on the single post page. It displayed my previous site identity in the browser.
Correct:
Incorrect:
I’ve cleared the cache multiple times, but the issue persists.
I suspect that this discrepancy might be the reason why Google has not replaced my old identity in search results.
Could you please advise on the changes I should make to address this issue?
Hi,
Seems you use Siteground plugin to minify the css and js; please disable those options clear the cache, and check after.
Thank you!
Hi,
Did you check if you have a file called object cache?
Thank you!
Hello, I have cleared the cache and i still have the issue.
Thanks for your support
Hello,
This problem is caused by the object cache that you have on the website.
Please check if you have an object cache file in wp-content, please delete it and try again to activate the license -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Morning, apologies for long message.
I note that these topics have been covered several times but what is the latest position. Any clear advice or a definitive solution would be handy. The ones we have tried as per some of your suggestions don’t seem to resolve the issue. I have a live site which is using the previous version of Newspaper and a testing/staging site with the latest version 12.6.5. Same issues on both sites. I have the relevant tagDiv plugins installed. Other non tagDiv plugins were deactivated and added one by one to see if there were conflicts with plugins – no conflictions.
Firstly…Is the issue with Save settings something which is likely to be resolved in a future update?
If not and before I try to get someone to help me investigate what’s going on and fix things, the hosting company have asked me to inform you of a few things they found when trying to help – not sure if any of it helps. Their responses are in italics.
Save Settings – Nothing saves, results in Spinning Wheel
Reading through the forum, this got flagged up
Object Cache on Backend
https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Suggestion from tagDiv is that the issue with spinning wheel and settings not being saved ‘could be a situation generated by the object cache on the backend’ ‘this could be either a plugin or it’s a hosting option.’
Contacted hosting company and they have replied as follows:
‘Disabling object caching entirely is not permitted unless it’s for testing purposes only. However, you can contact theme support to inquire if there’s a particular post type, setting, or element for which object caching needs to be disabled.’
So, can tagDiv please advise if there is a specific item that needs to be disabled – many thanks
Another tagDiv option is ‘Plugins – they must be deactivated and the file created by them, named “object-cache.php” must be deleted.
The hosting company and the person who usually does my maintenance wasn’t convinced by the above suggested deletion to deactivate plugins and the file….so to be fair haven’t tried that as yet.
The hosting company also reported that they..
‘noticed in the Envato forum that other users in the past have reported issues with the td_011_settings table, indicating that the theme developer should address and resolve these issues.’
https://forums.envato.com/t/wp-option-set-to-autoload/453841
Is this likely to be anything to do with it?
The hosting company also proceeded to delve deeper and conducted additional investigation, uncovering the following information.
‘I’ve noticed an error or warning message on the dashboard regarding “Excess updates to option td_011_settings blocked.” This could be the reason for the issue.
The error occurred due to a platform configuration on our side. This configuration is designed to prevent site plugins or themes from excessively writing to the database servers and causing overload.
That specific table is where the theme stores backups of the theme panel and other related data. I suggest contacting NewsPaper theme or Tagdiv support to inform them about this issue.
Furthermore, I believe the next step will involve dropping the option that is causing the error.
However, before proceeding with this action, it’s important to contact theme support and inform them of this issue and the subsequent steps, especially concerning the large content in one of the rows related to td_011_settings.
Import/Export Theme Settings
Followed the suggested tagDiv instructions regarding importing and exporting Theme Settings as per this link
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/#
That results in
This page isn’t working…is currently unable to handle this request.
Please advise.Thanks
