- NewspaperWP Rocket and Newspaper Theme: Optimization Guide
- TutorialsWhat is Ajax preloading?
Hello,
The results should be consistent on each browser. Please also test our official demo in your browsers: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ and see if the menus change. If they don’t, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Dear support,
I have reported the issue to my hosting provider to check, This is their comment below:
We have no caching tolls on the server, I assure you. The issue is local and can be caused by one of the plugins or the theme. I recommend that you address the developer on the matter.
I also changed to the twenty sixteen theme, but no result.
I have deleted the WP CACHE PLUGIN, but no luck.
I need your assistance
Hello,
Yes, you can simply activate the ajax post views like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/nJBm89TjdWPB
Please note we only recommend wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hi,
The caching plugin does not affect the Adsense ads as far as I know. Please use these recommended settings to configure the cache – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also please check and make the modifications to these parameters – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ if needed.
Thanks
Hello,
I have tested the custom menu but it works fine on our end. Please make sure you clear all caching on your site and contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache they might have in place.
Plugins can also interfere so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please also test this on a wp default theme such as twentysixteen. It sounds like a caching issue. You probably have a very string cache or a cache plugin as well as a hosting side cache.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
@sunnysider Please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, check or remove any custom code you might have entered in Theme panel or added to the theme files and clear any caching installed. Then see if the problem is solved. I have not seen this problem before, or had any success trying to replicate it, so most likely it is caused by a plugin or theme customization.
@jkellerer Any block or other visual composer element that allows sorting will display the posts according to the option set in the element settings – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ So a block set to Latest, will always display the latest posts. In your case I see that you are not using the page building elements available by default in Visual composer. Maybe you have a cache that affects the filtering process. It is recommended to use this caching plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ with the mentioned settings.
Thanks
Helo sir, i see this on your theme panel (img: http://prntscr.com/eum7lb), and i am using put google adsense code in my website. so wp supercache will affect my revenue or not, because wp supercache will compress and caching data in my site. Thank you.
I was wondering since im using caching, is there anyway for the post view to be pushed via javascript or how can i make it so its not cached? Let me know.
I use
WP ROCKET v2.9.9
Hello cahpolli,
Please notice that the latest theme version does not change the theme layout and the background should work as expected, sorry! If you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of these, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, provide your website URL so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
We created the cache settings guide as a general guide that fits most websites. You can change these settings based on your own particular situation.
Thank you!
Hello steebostech,
I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash/time loading when you enter on your website, right? This behavior appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code and also, I suppose that you are using the Speed Booster plugin. Please notice that the CSS are working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and check the results. Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches. Noticed that the only files where you will have to edit are style.css.
If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Bergfreund,
Do you have featured images setup for this posts which is displayed with Big Grid? Also, check your Theme panel, Modules/Blocks Thumbs settings to be active for this Big Grid, clear all your caches and check the results. Also, is the problem is still there, please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. After this, if you are using some untested plugins which can cause some problems in this regard, please try to disable all of them, install only the required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Here it updates the access token now but still showing “0” inside the Counters Front-End Box for Facebook Likes (cleared all cache). Tested multiple browsers.
Hello meathead and johndaygo92,
There seems to be an issue with the access token in the current version of the social counter.
Please download this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip
And very important: clear all your caching including the browser cache. Example for chrome: https://www.screencast.com/t/f9Q66lPx1fY
Now the access token should work as before.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hi,
This is a strange issue indeed. The text seems to be related to some kind of advertising
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MZN2I8253Ax Maybe you have installed a plugin or entered some custom code in Theme panel or added to the theme files that is causing this. Please disable all your plugins except Visual composer, check or remove any custom code that you may have added to the theme, clear the installed cache and then see if the problem is still present. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
It could be a faulty WordPress install, a faulty theme install or even a faulty visual composer install. That is why Catalin suggested a fresh install of the theme and visual composer. Make a back-up of your install, then remove the theme and all theme plugins. Then install the theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and then install visual composer from the theme plugins section of the theme panel.
The number one cause of crashing websites are untested third party plugins and user customization/optimization.
The images not showing is a key factor to your problems This is a sign of a js error that can be caused by your plugins or your customization if you have any.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
The theme is not compatible with all plugins. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones: https://www.screencast.com/t/WTlQNETEHVZ
Any plugin that is not on that list is not tested and could potentially create problems on your site so when you encounter any issues with the theme you should be aware you use untested plugins and should check those first.
Thank you!

Hi,
Please note this delay that you are observing depends mostly on how well the website is optimized and there are many factors could have a negative impact on page speed. You can improve your website loading speed using this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
It is also recommended to use this recommended cache for best results with the settings specified here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Another way would be to make changes directly in the theme’s files, then these will be loaded instantly with the rest of the stylesheet.
Thanks
The Social Counter is not working after an update
I have purged the cache
When I click Facebook Access Token Get Access Token it just says ‘Please wait…’
But nothing happens
Hi
Any changes to the footer or header is not getting reflected. I am not sure what is incorrect. All the system status are green. Only the super cache plugin is not installed since the hosting provider disallow super cache since they have a cache mechanism.
Any help would be great since I am unable to make any progress since I purchased this theme.
Please treat this as urgent.
Thanks again
Hello,
the mobile theme is not working anymore and I don’t know the reason. I’ve already tried the following steps with no results:
1) disabling all the plugins (WP Super Cache included) except the VC and mobile theme plugin
2) clearing my browser’s cache
3) switching to the main theme (from the child theme)
