Hello,
Well it does not seem to be working so please check if you have this section: http://screencast.com/t/tXzLKX1yoMCB
If that tab is not present in the theme panel, it means that the mobile theme is not active. If it is, then please clear all caching and cdn network if you use it.
Please only use this plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and for a cdn: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thank you!

Hello aleks1111,

First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme which comes bundled with the latest version of required plugins (Visual Composer 4.12.1, Social Counter 4.1). Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results. After this, please ensure that your Social Counter is correctly set it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/ If the problem is still there, please provide some useful screenshots with your error log and also, provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer and so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

PS: It does not have any active cache plugin and I always test it on a new anonymous tab to ensure it.

Hello stax,

Please try to update your theme to the latest version of it which is Newspaper 7.5. Also, please make sure if you are using the latest version of required plugins which should be -> Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1. Do the theme update via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard, clear all your caches and check the results.
If your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Also, provide there the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.

at https://tools.pingdom.com I’m getting – “The following cacheable resources have a short freshness lifetime. Specify an expiration at least one week in the future for the following resources:”

/wp-content/themes … aper/includes/demos/sport/demo_style.css?ver=7.3
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=7.3
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.3

In my htaccess file I have this code:

<IfModule mod_expires.c>
# Enable expirations
ExpiresActive On
# Default directive
ExpiresDefault “access plus 2 days”
# My favicon
ExpiresByType image/x-icon “access plus 1 year”
# Other
ExpiresByType application/x-shockwave-flash “access 1 month”
# Images
ExpiresByType image/gif “access plus 6 month”
ExpiresByType image/png “access plus 6 month”
ExpiresByType image/jpg “access plus 6 month”
ExpiresByType image/jpeg “access plus 6 month”
# CSS
ExpiresByType text/css “access 1 month”
# Javascript
ExpiresByType application/javascript “access plus 1 year”
ExpiresByType text/x-javascript “access 1 month”
</IfModule>

But it looks like it’s not being applied to the theme’s javascript, and also when I have the rec’m settings for the rec’m WP super cache plugin, it keeps it refreshed to often (every 24 hrs). But even with the plugin disabled, it’s not caching it long enough like the htaccess code is saying. Any solution to this? Thanks!

Hello Bilah Hisan,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, make sure that you use only the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with the theme packet. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. If you are using the lazy load effect you should turn of it, clear all your caches and check the results. -> http://screencast.com/t/Q2HIfuAGb9 Also, use this guide to fix the images: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no setting to add more articles in the mega-menu. They were created to display 4 elements and not any other number. The mega-menu is a very complex part of the theme and changing it will require some pretty good coding skills.
as for your second issue, please set the wordfence plugin to learning mode or disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Thank you!

Hi,
Well the cache does exactly what you describe the issue to be. It stores the current state of the site. If your cache is set a certain way, it will keep your site as it is until the cache gets cleared no matter the change you make. Sometimes even disabling the cache plugin will not clear the cache and keep it until it clears itself. Cache plugins have lots of options and that is why we tested them and found this solution to work best with our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ Pleae use this guide to set up your wp super cache settings.
Also a cdn server and hosting cache could have a hand in this issue as well.
Thank you!

Hello,

Well 35 plugins is a lot to use. We only recommend using these plugins with our theme: http://screencast.com/t/vievSLGP25
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test images again.
You should remove any unnecessary plugins from your website. I know probably all of them are useful but they do more damage than help. Plugins are not usually written correctly and using more plugins you weaken your site security and functionality.
After you solve the plugins issue pleas euse this guide to make your site load faster: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thank you!

Well the thumbs work on 7.5 as well. It is most likely a plugin conflict. One of your plugins could not be compatible in 7.5 anymore. We test every version before release as you can imagine and there is no thumb issue in our theme. Try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the thumbs on the current version of the theme.
Thank you!

Hello gibbo78,

I have inspected your website, and I saw that it is working fine now. Also, I have checked your console, and I saw that you have a lot of js errors which can damage the healthy functioning of the theme, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/l35folEE Also, I notice that you are using some untested plugins which can interfere with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. You should check all theme customizations because this type of problem which you presented above is not controlled by our theme, but only from your setup, even as the hosting provider explained you above.
If the problem is still there, you should try to make a new clean install via FTP only with required plugins and check the results. For more information about this method, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello xanamorales,

Unfortunately, I cannot access your website. Please provide a valid URL of your website so I can inspect it closer. Do you are using the Mobile Theme concept? Notice that the homepage for the mobile theme is too different than the desktop version and mobile responsive version. First of all, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ To exclude any conflicts in theme, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet. Also, if the problem is still there, please make a new clean install from scratch and install only the required plugins, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.

Salutare,

Well it’s not strange. It depends on the caching that you use and it’s settings. Please use this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
We only recommend wp super cache as it’s the tested and approved plugin to use with our theme. The hosting can also have it’s own cache, but you will have to contact your host about that.

Multumesc!

Hi,

Thanks Chris for your great help! You have the crown!

@tricell
Most probably a plugin conflicts with the theme’s javascript and that’s why you get this issue with mobile menu. I suggest to disable all you plugins except Visual Composer, clear all you caches and purge your files if you use CDN and check again if it the issue persist. If it works please enable your plugins one by one and see which one cause this problem and disable it or try to find an alternative.

Thanks!
