Hi,
Maybe the installation process was not done properly. Please use this guide to do a fresh install of the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Please also remove all plugins except visual composer and clear cache and cdn if you use it.
Let us know if you still have trouble with it.
Thank you!
Hi
Social Counter plugin does not update the numbers automatically. The plugin is set to update date at each 3 hours but if you’re using a cache plugin the time may be bigger.
Please make sure that you’re using V 4.11.2 of Visual Composer plugin because with older version the access token wont be generated.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and the images are displayed fine now: http://screencast.com/t/sXDP1n6C7cYi If you still have this issue try to clear the cache memory then test again.
Let us know if you need further assistance on this.
Thanks!
Hi
Please make sure that you follow our documentation when you’re trying to upload the theme in wordpress, also try to deactivate all plugins, clear all caches then test again. If you still can’t upload the theme from your dashboard try the ftp method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
I’m sorry but I don’t get your reply, do you mean that I can only wait that the css cache expries on users’ browser?
To be clear, my problem now is that some users see the theme like this (screen taken from another website here, perfectly showing my issue).
Again, not using any CDN or cache plugin.
What if I make the following change to the functions php files in the child theme?… I mean, change 2.0c to 3.0…. Please note that this is my full functions.php in the child theme.
NOW
<?php
/* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Newsmag 2.0 Child theme - Please do not use this child theme with older versions of Newsmag Theme
What can be overwritten via the child theme:
- please read the child theme documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
*/
/* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here we add the parent style and the style.css from the child theme folder
*/
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'theme_enqueue_styles', 1000);
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style('td-theme', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css', '', '2.0c', 'all' );
wp_enqueue_style('td-theme-child', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css', array('td-theme'), '2.0c', 'all' );
}
NEW
<?php
/* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'theme_enqueue_styles', 1000);
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style('td-theme', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css', '', '3.0', 'all' );
wp_enqueue_style('td-theme-child', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css', array('td-theme'), '3.0', 'all' );
}
Could this solve my problem?

HI
I’ve checked your site and noticed that the thumbs are not generated properly. Try to regenerate you thumbnails following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear the caches then test again.
Thanks!
Hi
Make sure that all image added in gallery links to media file: http://screencast.com/t/s5gD0OcrFkqr clear the cache memory then test again.
Thanks!
The issues have largely been resolved because I had to re-add everything — is there any reason why W3 Turbo Cache would cause this problem? I’ve had trouble with Wp Super Cache in the past.
While editing a post and refreshing the updated post on the frontend of the site, I noticed that the footer – which I had previously disabled – was showing again. That was odd, but I figured it was a small hiccup.
However, I also noticed that none of the big grids worked anymore (on homepage and on category pages).
It’s almost as if something got reset (and somehow made the big grids stop working).
So, recapping: “Big grid” type of post display stopped working on categories and on the homepage. I was not working with those settings when it broke.
I checked the settings and it looks like everything is set up correctly.
I’ve tried:
– Ensuring unique articles is disabled
– Disabling plugins (despite not working with them when it stopped working)
– Removing all filters from the big grid (just showing posts from all categories, no filters)
– Adding a new big grid with no filters
– Adding a different type of big grid with no filters
– Removing other big grids from the page

Hello, I’ve upgraded the theme to version 3.0, but the CSS version loaded is still 2.0c. If I clear the cache the site works fine, so I think that everything has been upgraded correctly. The problem is that not all users know how to clear the cache… Why these lines shows 2.0 instead of 3.0? I’ve sent you via email the URL of my website.
I’m not using any cache plugin on wordpress.
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-theme-css’ href=mysite.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=2.0c’ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-theme-child-css’ href=’mysite.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag-child/style.css?ver=2.0c’ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
Hi,
Please use wp super cache as it;s the recommended caching plugin to use with our theme. Then disable the child theme and use the theme panel for css modifications: http://screencast.com/t/LSt5aXS9
you can also check the system status parameters here: http://screencast.com/t/vkBw4jGU and make sure you increase them according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know if you still have trouble afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi
I am not sure why this happens as we didn’t received a similar report before. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again and check if the problem is still there.
Thanks!
Hi,
I recently launched a new version of my website using Newspaper 7.1.1. This is a clean install and not an upgrade of an older version of the theme. I immediately noticed that even a few (less than 10) visitors are able to rise my server’s processor usage to 100%. My Linux box shows PHP processes as the cause and not the MySQL server. Usage is constantly climbed to 100%. I tried disabling all installed plugins leaving enabled only Visual Composer and the theme. The problem is solved only by disabling the theme and enabling my old one (even with all plugins enabled). It seems like the theme’s code falls in some kind of infinite loop as soon as the first user hits the website.
I am running on a dedicated i7/32GB RAM/SSD server with no control panel, Apache 2.4.10, PHP 5.4.34. I am using the child theme for CSS customization purposes. There no overrides of core templates. In addition I have already installed Comet Cache in order to help my website stay online after the upgrade.
Looking forward to your help,
Thanks
Hi,
On my mobile devices I cannot see the issue only on the browser emulator. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the menu again. if the problem is still there, please try to activate the main theme as you may have some code in the child theme that could affect the header.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to do a clean install of the theme. Download the latest theme version form envato and follow this guide to install it via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Then please disable and delete files for your version of the social counter and install it from here afterwards: http://screencast.com/t/epBpvqGTev
If you satill have trouble with it, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it as plugin conflicts can also affect the counter.
Let us know how it goes and if you still have trouble with this, contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.ocm and provide wp-admin so we can investigate.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have tested this on my end but could not replicate it. The 404 is provided if you do not add the full url path. you need to add it like so:
https://www.instagram.com/cocacola/ – result: http://screencast.com/t/o0TVhUQPAs
If I add it like you suggest: instagram.com/cocacola/ -the result will be wrong: http://screencast.com/t/WpgWoHSAd
The social fields need the full url.
If you have issues when adding the full url, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check the social network fields again.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have accessed your site but could not see any issues: http://screencast.com/t/xgDy0AQFoiC4
Our theme does not reset settings as it has no such control over the database. WordPress themes only apply the styles for your content but the content itself is handled by wordpress, not the theme. We have no such reports of our theme resetting any setting. if the problem appeared by clearing the cache, please make sure you only use the recommended caching plugin which is wp super cache.
Thank you!
Thanks. Just did that and now I’m getting this error showing on my homepage:
wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not set.
/home/cos909/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
/home/cos909/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php
Fatal error: Class ‘td_remote_cache’ not found in /home/cos909/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-social-counter/td_social_api.php on line 48
What should I do?
Hi Bogdan,
I have just checked my site and it looks like the VC is active but giving me the update to v4.12 message. Sorry i meant the header. When i scroll down it extends.
Could the problem be with my current version of visual composer?
I have cleared all cache and browser data, but problem still persists.
Thanks
Hi,
OK,It seems something went wrong. Please reinstall the theme via ftp (clean install). You will not lose any content as it’s kept in the DB. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
After you install the theme, please check your system status from the here: http://screencast.com/t/Bz2z8sLsynjI and make sure you get set all parameters according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
After that please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear ALL caches. including a cdn or server cache.
Now test your site again and see if there are still problems. If there are, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login ind investigate. Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
The disappearing images are most of the times caused by a plugin conflict. Unfortunately not all plugins work with our theme so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your images again. Let us know if you still have trouble with this.
Thank you!
HI
I assume this happens because of child theme so try to deactivate it, clear all caches, purge cdn files then test again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry but this falls beyond what the theme support can offer you. Customization is not covered by the theme support. Maybe you changed something that affects the images or maybe you have a plugin conflict that make the images break .Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Also for the code to work, you cannot simply change the image size without defining a new thumbnail for it. This is done with the theme api: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_thumbadd/
Please note that you will require coding skills for this and theme support does not cover it. If you require assistance for it, you will have to hire a freelancer from sites like studio.envato.com
Thank you!
