Hi,
If you keep replying you will only delay your answer because we answer from oldest to newest. Posting more and more replies will only move your post to the fresher ones and delay the answer further. For future optimal response time, please only post once and wait for the reply as we answer every message.
If you plan to move over to the tagdiv composer, you will need to recreate All the pages as the shortcodes are not the same and could create problems if this is not done. We recommend only using one page builder, not both at the same time, so disable the one you do not want to use.
This guide should help with the transition: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks and sorry for the delay
Hello simonetelelombardia,
Yes, it is possible. After you have made your page with TD Composer on front-end, you should go to the back-end and there you will see the generated shortcodes for your page, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FoRWr9jDR3be So, if you want to make a similar page, you simply copy and paste this code to another created page and you will see the same layout, just like at Visual Composer.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
A 1/2 + 1/2 column was never intended to be used in our theme. Our grid system never worked properly on that layout but we could not edit visual composer to remove the layouts as it would have broken the license agreement with the plugin author. THis was the intended way of using visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Only these 3 columns are recommended to be used: https://www.screencast.com/t/Cj2PjBmL
In the new builder we did not include any other column layouts that will not work properly with our theme layout.
Thank you!
Hello pstgibson,
Make sure that your Visual Composer is enabled and that you use it correctly. If the problem is still there you should provide your website URL and also, some useful screenshots so I can identify the problem.
Thanks for the message!
Hello GideonLupine,
I have checked the shortcodes for the buttons from Text Block in TinyMCE and everything seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qowmOo7xH and the result you should see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/MSHzVz09V95Z
Also, if you are using some untested plugins, you should remove all of these, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all the caches and check the results.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please check the theme system status and make modifications if needed, according to this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Deactivate all your plugins except tagDiv composer, clear any caching installed and create a new page again, then try to edit it using the composer. If it is still not working you can try a theme reinstall using this method
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and test again while having only the tagDiv composer activated.
Please let us know if it works properly like it should.
Thanks
Hi… after i tried make 3 columns ( | | | ) with Classic Mode OR Tagdiv composer the columns are done rows ( =_ )!!!
Help!
I recently upgraded to NewsPaper 8 and installed TagDiv Composer. When I try to use TagDiv Composer, even on a new page not created with Visual Composer, I get a load screen that never times out (I see a white screen with a circling spiral, forever). Has this issue come up? Any remedies? Thanks!
Joey
We have inserted a slider (“slide” element) through visual composer and configured it to strecth row an content at:
But there is still a padding left and right and a black padding top and bottom. We want the slider images to fit on the whole width of the page.
What shall we do?
Thank You
thanks for the reply.
Yes if I disable the TagDiv composer plugin my frontpage is normaal again…
Hi – we’re slowly converting our pages to Tagdiv composer instead of Visual Composer. However, one piece of functionality that is missing is the RSS feed block that is available in Visual Composer but not in the TagDiv one. When is that likely to be addressed?
I deactivated the tagdiv composer and appearance of the page / post is ok. but I think that is not the solution.
As per guide “Please do not use both the tagDiv Composer and Visual Composer simultaneously on the same page.”
The problem was with existing pages at the time of creation of those pages tagdiv composer does not exist. Thus, I did not used both on the same page. Hence, there should be no conflict. Please look into the matter.
TagDiv will not say anything because it is true. I have tested it and when I removed SSL, the TagDiv composer stopped working, when I re-activated it, it was just fine. So that’s the truth. Also, this updated version has a lot of imperfections as thousands of people are affected. Everywhere you turn to it’s the same ugly complaint. Also, this theme does not allow you to import the type of block or grid that you would want to, or the type of slide that you would want to. There are many many things missing or many areas not affected by this updated version. It’s a tough task.
Hello!
First of all: Congrats for the new tagDiv-Composer! Excellent work! But I have a different question: My website’s mobile theme shows fullsize images instead of 741×486 in the Big grid M3 and mostly 533×261 instead of 265×198 on the rest of the frontpage. The images with the correct sizes do exist. I have no idea, why this happens. You can see the disaster on Googles PageSpeed, if you look after http://www.travel4news.at or http://www.cruise4news.at.
Greetings
Wolfgang
Hi! When I finish to build a page with TagDiv Composer, is it possible to save the layout and use it to make similar pages?
I figured it out! I just deactivated your new TagDiv composer and all is back to normal. Yes!!
Hi,
Yes you should go ahead and ignore that activation message. There is no need to activate the Visual composer plugin with a key. You can use all the features available in the version provided in the theme package. More about this here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
Hello,
It seems you are not using visual composer in the intended way. The only columns intended to be used are the ones mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
As the theme progresses further, there will be more and more issues if you do not use the theme and it;s features in the intended way as we develop the theme based on those parameters.
Thank you!
Hello,
All it takes is a bit of patience. Ass you can see in the top right corner, we had a few days off so we got hung up on too many requests. We always post special announcements or days off in the top right corner: https://www.screencast.com/t/3na0dTdqR
First please disable all plugins except the tagdiv composer, clear cahce and rest cdn files. Then test it again. If the problem is still there then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and investigate the issue.
Thank you!
I do not know what you are saying. I am only using one composer on the page – Visual Composer. Is this TagDiv composer new with Newspaper 8? The sites were all composed using Visual Composer in Newspaper 7. I don’t want to move over to TagDiv composer, I just want my site to work as it was. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Sorry, I don’t understand. I create the page 5 month ago and the page has not been modified. I only upgraded visual composer at the last version, and the page lost the formatting, but the problem is only in the box “Text with title”. How can I resolve?
Hi,
This is a strange problem. A theme re-install should resolve the problem but it seems the issue has been carried along. Please use this method to make a fresh install
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Also deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin from the plugins section and leave only Visual composer active, the tagDiv editor is activated from the moment you updated the theme.
If you are using a child theme switch to the main theme, also check or remove any custom code you might have entered in the theme panel custom code sections.
If after you install the theme as mentioned and following all the advice, the issue is not resolved, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in your email.
Thanks
My buttons don’t look like the documentation

Also, what are all the setting options. They are blank, and I can’t find the accepted values.
Hi,
Please try and deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin from the plugins section and clear any caching installed. This editor was activated the moment you updated the theme. Then check to see if the page is displaying properly. More information here
