Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.3) with the latest version of Visual Composer (4.12). Please notice that the Visual Composer have an own license which comes bundled with the theme and you no need to buy another license for it. Ignore this message! First of all, please ensure that our new version of the theme (Newspaper 7.3) is fully tested and still brings the most results. So, please try to make a full backup being safe. Then, try to download the latest version of the theme from Envato Market, clear all your old version of the theme and install the new one using the FTP because this is the surest method in this case -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/. Also, please install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme (Visual Composer 4.12, Social Counter 4.1), clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and check the results. If you are using the Child Theme, you will have to use the latest version of it and also, you can try to rule the theme only using the main theme, without child theme and see hoe it will work. You can make a new clean install from scratch and install the theme according to our documentation and you will see that the theme will work as properly.

Hi,

Do you have any custom modification in your child theme files?
If you have, please make a backup and install the unmodified child theme provided with the theme, you can find it in code folder and check if you still have issues.
Also check this without any plugins active except Visual Composer and clear all your caches.

Hi,

Do you use the mobile theme plugin? In this case it will not render the custom ad in post content.
Try to disable the mobile theme plugin and see if it appears. To have the same content also on mobile devices like on desktop you will need to disable the mobile theme plugin which is optional and it comes with its own templates, ads..
The Mobile Theme plugin is practically a lighter theme without so many options also it was no designed for Visual Composer pagebuilder and also it may not render shortcodes.

Please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and purge your files if you use CDN. I suspect that a plugin conflicts with the theme javascript.

First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest verso of the theme and also, if you are using some untested plugins, leave just Visual lCOmposer to active, clear all of untested plugins, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. I have tested on my side and everything seems to work as properly.

First of all, please remove the old version of the theme and then install it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.

It seems the update was not done properly from what you describe.
Please check the following:
