Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins, clear your cache and purge CDN if you use it. If the problem is still there another thing you can try is check the system status parameters and try to get the in the ‘green’ zone: http://screencast.com/t/bpnfaltKJ You can use this tutorial to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If everything else fails you can do an update to the latest version (6.6) and make sure you make a back-up first:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!

Hi Potpotsie,

Please try to disable all the active plugins except Visual Composer, clear all your caches, purge your CDN files if you use and try it again. Notice, please install only the plugins which comes bundle with our theme. Also, if you are using a natural small images, you can use a plugin to upscale, like Upscale Thumbnails plugin. Please try these suggestions and if after this the problem is still there, let us know.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,
The thumbnail upscale plugin and force regenerate method should work if you cannot upload bigger images. The process is done automatically, you do not need to edit every photo.
If everything else fails you can try to disable all your plugins except visual composer to rule out a plugin conflict.
Thank you!

Buna,

Se pare ca nu functioneaza counterul de view-uri. Va rog sa dezactivati toate pluginurile exceptand Visual Composer, sa dati clear la cache si sa verificati daca da-ti refresh de cateva ori un articol sa vedeti daca problema persista.
Counterul de view-uri puteti sa-l ascundet folosind custom css in Theme Panel > Custom css – http://screencast.com/t/aELQUaJGk1R

header .td-post-views {
display: none;
}

Sau din cod daca doriti, doar comentati aceasta linie pentru fiecare template de post – http://screencast.com/t/cSfGxWk3d7x

Mersi!

Hello,
In order to change the mobile menu color you will need to update your theme to the latest version if you do not have this option in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/LhLGuzA8U
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
In order to disable the sidebar in the mobile menu you can use custom css:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-ss-main-sidebar{
display:none!important;
}
}

Note that this code will only work for a sidebar (standard sidebar from widgets area) it will not work for pages that use 2 column visual composer rows.
Thanks.

Hi dezertproxy,

I’ve checked your site and I saw your huge image. This behavior is not controlled by our theme…maybe is a plugin which stretched this. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins which come bundle with our theme and after this, try it again. If the problem is still there, please let us know.

Hope this helps!

Than you for message!

Hi,

Sorry for delay, yesterday we have celebrated the National Day and we had a day off!
Please check the documentation regarding the child theme usage – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Also I have checked your site and you have a blog as homepage. Please check this guide about how to create a homepage(static page) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/ and just use Visual Composer pagebuilder to add Newsticker element – http://screencast.com/t/UIoKRg76B

Thanks!

Hello,

@jermyn7, please access your files via FTP and delete the visual composer files manually as sometimes deleting them from the dashboard will not be enough and a folder will remain behind.

Hi,

The theme is tested and it should work from version 8 of Internet Explorer browser and it should work properly. Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have issues. Also you can check our demo and see if it looks the same – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Thanks!

Hello,
Unfortunately we have no idea of how the true mag theme implements videos. There could be a compatibility issue between the two methods so the videos are not getting added. Please try to set your posts to video mode: http://screencast.com/t/vgptG1JO1KL0
It could also be a plugin incompatibility so please try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer and check again. If everything else fails, i’m affraid you will have to re-add your videos to the posts.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,
You can create a full width row using visual composer like so: http://screencast.com/t/oicIENFhr3
Then your row and content will be stretched: i used an single image element as an example: http://screencast.com/t/dS45zwQImC
Thank you!

Hello,
This overlay should only display the first time you use visual composer. Please check the visual composer settings and disable the tips.
If this does not solve your problem please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can take a look. Please include a link to this topic so we know how you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!

Hello pmacreative,

Please try to disable all the active plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge CDN files if you have and try it again after this. The problems should disappear.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the massage!

Hi,
As you can see, there is no problem from the theme. The font gets changed properly: http://screencast.com/t/DLxYHCOKAohttp://screencast.com/t/ktRmuHlp58
If yours cannot change it means there is an error somewhere. It could be a plugin issue. Please try to disable all of them except visual composer and check again. If the problem is still there you can send an email at the address provided above so we can inspect the issue.
Thank you!

Hi – Wondering if there is a standard method to have some of our sidebars appear on pages that are not originally part of the Newspaper theme? For example, we are using plugins like GeoDirectory, WooCommerce, etc., which all create a few pages (or more) dynamically. Trying to keep the style of the site consistent so hoping to include sidebars where necessary but we can’t “edit” those pages in the admin panel with Visual Composer (or anything)

Also, would like to know how to control which sidebar appears on other 3rd party plugin pages since I’m not sure which “template” is being used from one to the next. For example, the Calendar plugin displays one type on the main calendar “page” (which is dynamically created) vs. an individual calendar listing. The Contest plug in let’s us create a main page ourselves so we can add a sidebar, but individual entries appear on dynamic pages with a different sidebar.

Would appreciate any feedback on this.

Thanks!

I just update to the latest v2.3.2 and the banner on top now shows twice. Never did that before and does not show like that on other pages I have it on. I don’t know how to make it show just once and I don’t have the code in the placement twice. I tried uninstalling visual composer to see if it was a problem with that but after reinstalling it did nothing to fix it. It is just the homepage top banner that does it.

Do you have any clues what it would be?

I am trying to upload a facebook post on my wordpress post but the result I am getting is not what I expected.

After I had copied the post link from Facebook and pasted in the text version of the composer, Here is the output:

Not desired output of the embed

This is how I want the output to be like:
null

How do I achieve this and for Twitter tweet as well?

Thank you

I’m trying to create a full width top row containing a revolution slider on my homepage.
Any quick way to do this?

I figure I’d have to modify the core index.php file, but the elements are generated dynamically using visual composer vc-row elements.

I tried not to be a pest and work thru this thread to install Visual Composer, to no avail… šŸ™

I keep getting the same message preventing me to access the VC when editing pages, etc…

Downloading install package from http://thebladenews.com/africa/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /home/thebladenews/public_html/africa/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/

Plugin install failed.

Can you please advise what to do to properly install??

Hi, I was under the impression that both Visual Composer and the Newspaper theme itself were compatible with IE9, but I can’t actually get it to render even remotely close to properly in IE9.

Staging website here:

Did I forget a config option or something? Any help would be appreciated – thanks!
