Hi arayaz,
Please provide a link so I can inspect your Slider. Also you can check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and clear the cache.
Thanks!
Hello dragon,
This option in posts settings picks up the post template you select in the theme panel:
http://screencast.com/t/wZ9lqrC6Bg
If it does not pick up the post template you set, please disable all of your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and purge files if you use CDN.
If the problem is still there let us know
Thank you!
Hi Ali,
I have back up my files, tried to installed the theme again following C. Update the theme via WordPress
Step 1 – Deactivate the current “Newspaper” theme from the Appearance > Themes section by simply activating a different theme. Once you activate a different theme, delete the Newspaper theme. Don’t worry, your content will not be lost.
Step 2 – Get the “Newspaper.zip” file from your new Themeforest download (Installable WordPress file only). If you downloaded the “All Files & Documentation” from Themeforest, then you need to unzip the archive file you received, the Newspaper.zip will be inside it.
Step 3 – Go to Appearance > Themes, choose Add New Theme, Upload the “Newspaper.zip” and click on the “Install Now” button.
Step 4 – After your upload is finished choose Activate the theme.
I also ran the import script mentioned in the article. Now the elements of the visual composer (backend) are finally showing up correctly, it was gibberish before. However still nothing is displaying on my page built by visual composer….
PLease advise what else should be done…Thanks!
Hi
As Chris suggested, try do deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and check the browser console if there are some errors while you click the indicated buttons.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide your site url so I can inspect this issue closer.
Thanks!
Hello Nathan,
I have checked your site and you seem to be using a plugin for images. You can try to disable the modal window if you plan on using that specific plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-window/
Or from the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/765WOjq2.
You can also try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and see if the problem is still there.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.
Hi,
I have checked your post and and see that you have some customization there. Please remove your custom modifications and see if you still have this issue. Also without any plugins active except of Visual Composer. I have also tested this using the latest version but I could not replicate your issue.
Thanks!

That’s great! 🙂
About WYSIWYG, I meant more like an upload button to insert the image/video ad in the ad box instead of one has to get the file url and paste it there. Perhaps I used the wrong name.
About the creation of our own blocks, like I said, don’t know if that is possible but it would be nice to have a builder like Visual Composer. I have seen this on Magento themes where one inserts a widget and by drag n’ drop one can define which elements should be in the widget. Black & White theme for Magento has this feature.
Perhaps these things would need be separated plugins one can buy and add to the Newspapper theme?
Hi svetaznalec,
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have such an option, only using the ajax filter on blocks you can achieve something similar or try to use blocks in in Tabs element from Visual Composer.
Thanks!
Typically some type of java conflict; perhaps check in the console in IE or Chrome for quick checkup> Try disabling plugins except Visual Composer.
Same issue on my site as what the OP had.
Cleared all CSS, disabled all plugins except VC and still not working. Unable to edit any blocks.
Elements within this list are deprecated and are no longer supported in newer versions of Visual Composer.
Hi all,
I’m using Yoast SEO (also tried Add Meta Tags) plugin to handle all the METAs and SEO related stuff.
I’ve never been able to have Google or Bing show my hand written META DESCRIPTION but only the Visual Composer stuff ([vc_row]… and so on).
I’ve removed the itemprop call in the <body> and the <title> hardcoded settings (child template) but I won’t be able to see any result for a few days.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi
Please make sure you clear all caches, browser cache too, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again.
If the problem persist please provide your site url so I can inspect this closer.
Thanks!
Hi,
You have to find out which causing the issue, disable all the plugins except of VC and then enable them one by one to see which one is in conflict with Visual Composer.
Thanks!
Hello,
The rest of the posts on your site seem to work fine. Also that specific one has the big blue arrow on the left side: http://screencast.com/t/qZSu1AaO2mnc. Other posts don’t have this arrow.
Please make sure it’s not plugin related. Clean your cache, then disable all plugins except visual composer and see if one of them is creating the issue. Let us know if the problem is still there.
Thank you.
sorry I got it working, I had to tick the table element under ‘user group access rules’ for administrator in visual composer general settings.
it’s normal when all plugins accept visual composer inactive
but the problem is back when I activate the plugins
thanks
well installing easy table is quite straight forward, its also from the same developer of visual composer.
https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Easy+Tables#EasyTables-FAQ
I can’t say why it shouldn’t work, since its just one extra element in visual composer. I really need to have a way of doing tables, all my lay out is done with visual composer, I’m not sure how else I can make data tables on the page, I hope you can look into this problem.
Hi
Try to restore the page to some older version: http://screencast.com/t/PfDyLmE4ja – http://screencast.com/t/bHeKzwuq8b and check if the error still appear on the page. If you made any modification in theme’s code try to undo them, also if your using any html/js raw make sure that the code added it’s valid, otherwise could create issues.
Last thing but not least, make sure you deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue, as it may come from a plugin conflict. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi,
Please disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer, re-save your permalinks, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. I have check it on my side and did not found any issues – http://screencast.com/t/D1nxiBNb
Thanks!
Hi,
Did you tried also without any plugins active?
Try to disable them except of Visual Composer, clear the cache and re-save the permalinks, then check if you still have this issue. If it works enable your plugins one by one and see which one cause this issue.
Thanks!
Hi,
We tests the Visual Composer plugin with the theme before we release it, so some issues could appear if you use a version that is not tested. Also the plugin provided with the theme files is unmodified.
Thanks!
Hi,
What theme version and visual composer do you use? When this issue appeared?
Please provide more details and send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are and what your issue is.
Thanks!

Hello steventsakanikas,
Your problem is font related. Those symbols are placed as characters not images. It seems like the font file doesn’t load properly. You need to check if you have any errors in your console. Also if you use a child theme make sure it is set up properly.
This could also be plugin related. Try to disable them (except visual composer) and see if the problem is still there.
Thank you.
Hello TarekI
If you create a page in visual composer you have to add an extra class (td-ss-row) to the row which contains the sidebar in visual composer. Check our documentation on the subject: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
I have also checked your homepage, but there is not enough content to scroll down to. The sidebar sticks to the top of the screen. In your homepage id does not even reach that point until the content is all displayed.
I hope this helps
Thank You!
