Hello!

Unfortunately, you can not modify custom post types with TagDiv Composer and you can not use cloud templates for them.
For more information about that, please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/

Thank you!

Hello !

Please note that if you are using a Cloud Library template or a PRO demo those will be edited only by using tagDiv Composer as you can see in our guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo&t=1s

Hello,

The theme has only this for ads => https://i.imgur.com/IBxx4Bt.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebar-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-template-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/above-footer-ads/ ,on Cloud Templates and pages you can use the ad box element from tagDiv Composer => https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-ad-spots/
If you use a Prebuilt Websites Pro you can set ads in the Ad Box from tagDiv Composer
The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post.

Also, the shortcode can be set with tagDiv Composer in column text or text with title in text area -> Edit Content =>https://www.screencast.com/t/yzHiFcS8g8 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uDXaxJ8JSKFB. The shortcode is automatically saved.

If this is not what you mean, please let me know!

Thank you!

Hi,
I’m interested in making plugins like a new slider or gallery for Composer, but I found it hard to work with cause I couldn’t figure out how to debug them. Is there a setting to activate debugging in order to get error messages?
It would also be nice if there were more extensive guides on how to create these plugins.

Best regards,
Anton

Hi,
I would love to have the option of hiding components in Composer. Like I want to add a section to my webpage but I don’t want it to go live until a certain date or until it is approved. Then it would be super useful to have the option of having it on a development setting or something similar. I noticed that you can hide a component in the CSS options but, maybe this is just me, the component fully disappeared and I didn’t know how to get it back. I also assume it will still be in the live HTML as hidden, which I don’t look for.

Best Regards,
Anton

Thanks for reaching out Simion!

I am checking the website https://www.mijnhardloopschoen.nl/
I see you are using the default WordPress blog homepage at this time, and not a static page like this https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/

–> I just made a new homepage using the Composer, which looks really nice.

Unfortunately I can’t set it as my homepage…

This link would work if you created a page called “site” https://www.mijnhardloopschoen.nl/site/ Normally that is how a link to a page from the website has the URL. Does such a page exist on the website?

–> That’s because this one keeps popping up. And we do not have a page called ‘site’. So I don’t know what it is. Do you have any idea?

Or should I place a redirect? Maybe not the prettiest option, but it could def work.

Thanks in advance for helping me out, much appreciated!

Mike.

Hi, Bettina.

I was actually up all night and finally figured out what was going on by accident at 5 am this morning. I erroneously thought the first section in the Theme panel was just for ads. The header template was set to none, or whatever the no theme setting was. The footer template, on the other hand, had a cloud template set on it. I guess this was automatic. I knew I wasn’t using a cloud template when I sent the other messages. Like I said, I erroneously thought that section was for ads only and never thought to check that. Found it was I was looking through every single setting. The TagDiv Composer will not allow you to go past the footer to edit. Which it’s a little cumbersome to use anyway, because there are no scoll bars until you drag across the screen to the right and you finally get one to go up and down, but not side-to-side. I had been just clicking in the white space at the top and using the arrow keys, which doesn’t always work. THen when you do go the right to get on the other side of the template, you can’t see the settings menu on the left. Just cumbersome, but Ill figure it out, I reckon. Maybe a thought for the next update or something. Thanks again for all your help trying to figure this out. Hope it will help someone else facing the same issue. 🙂

Hello,

It is not absolutely necessary to use the plugins that we recommend you to use, you can use any plugins that you want, but we can provide assistance only for tested plugins => https://www.screencast.com/t/iXAoc54BkMxW
If I understand correctly now the changes that you made were updating (depends that what setting you made and the settings from the cache plugin you need to clear the cache from theme panel setting or tagDiv Composer settings, or if it is a new post then the cache will be clean automatically).

If it is still a problem, and I missed something please let me know!

Thank you!

Hello!

You can achieve this if you will use a cloud/PRO template.
Edit the page with TagDiv Composer plugin, after that element called “Single Post content” you can add the element called “Widget sidebar”, and you will find in the element’s setting a list with your widgets areas created in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets.
You can create your own widget area by accessing Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Template settings -> Page template: https://prnt.sc/10ajjpv
This widget will be available in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets also.
Let me know about your results!

Thank you!

Hello!

From what you describe it seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
So, you can’t customize your mobile version if you use this plugin.

Hello!

You can only modify the footer with TagDiv Composer if you go to a page where it is assigned and edit that page with TagDiv Composer, and then you will have access to the footer also. For example, edit your homepage with TagDiv Composer, scroll till footer, click on footer zone and you can edit it.

Hello,

To increase the number you can select the block, and set the limit post => https://www.screencast.com/t/KPHLj3NJ5
The change will apply also to the desktop.
You can use the option to infinite load, but this will be active on both desktop and mobile. To enable the option the Auto Loading on the Sigle Post Template with tagDiv Composer -> Show site wide settings => https://www.screencast.com/t/A9nO0Vy1

Hope this helps you!

Hello!

If you use a cloud/PRO header template, then please try to add an element called “Ad box” in your header zone when you edit the page with TagDiv Composer and write your code there: https://www.screencast.com/t/JHLCTBhWp
For mobile version you need to modify in mobile viewport.
If you have Mobile Theme, all changes you can do are located in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme, and you will find a section for ads.
Hope that helps you!

I am saying so we need dropdown sorting option on category page for order by dropdown

4. In category pages it depends. Ascending or descending in terms of what exactly? Do you mean by publish date? You can edit the category template with the composer, click on the grid or the post loop from the template, and check the available sorting option. For example they can be set to display posts by publish date, oldest first https://prnt.sc/10a77hk By default they are latest first.
