Hi, I’m not able to update the theme. I asked my webhost, Pagely, to try it, and this was their answer:

“I tried uploading the theme through the normal WordPress method of “Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme” and found that the theme would upload but would not install because it’s missing a CSS file. You may want to contact the theme developers to find out if there are more specific or out of the ordinary steps needed to get the upgrade installed.”

Is there a way I can prevent this from running via a child theme? I don’t want the editor-style.css file to load.

What would be the best way to go about removing the author information in its entirety from the bottom of every post?

Are there any CSS options for removing this information, and if so, are there any SEO consequences for hiding that author information? Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi guys,

I am trying to use CSS to manually insert an banner image into the
background header area of the Craft Ideas theme.

I have attached the original Craft Theme image of the woman with the orange background to show what I mean

The header dimensions are 1326 x 276 which is what I designed my banner to be. However in the background
of the Craft Theme there is a div space either side of the logo which has a smaller dimension.

So in summary what I am trying to do is place my banner full-with across the header of the demo site.
I have tried CSS and I can accomplish this on the demo site but not on my site.

Hi. Is it possible to change the date disposition, for example, in “Block 9” or “Flex block 1”?
I want to have a possibility to put the date in the same line with the post title or above the title.
I didn’t find such options, and simple CSS tricks didn’t work for me.

I’m using latest newspaper 8.7. i want to apply gradient colors on my site. it is possible with CSS but there is no built-in gradient color selector. but newspaper 8.5 version contains a gradient color picker.

I have a big trouble

Since i use this Theme,The web site becomes very slow,and i don’t know how to optimize.

I use Google Page Speed,But it doesn’t work

1.You konw,In China,some foreign website can’t open such as google.com

So，I guess if is this reason.

2.On the other hand,If there are too many JS&CSS files to make the web site become solw?

3.And,I want to konw why there are so many pictures,I just want to show the only one picture.

4.The line of code is too long ?

These are all what I guess……

I like this theme,don’t want to change theme.

But,My ability is not deep

自从用了这个主题之后，网站的打开速度非常慢….我不知道怎样才能加速

用Google Page Speed也检测不出来，我猜测的原因可能是这几个

1.网站中有些文件是调用国外的网站上的，而这些网站在中国被墙了，比如google.com所以才造成访问速度变慢（但我不知道是哪些网站）

2.网站上有很多的JS&CSS文件，是不是因为这些加载太慢了？

3.如图中的，一篇文章里面调用了同一张图片的不同大小，这样加载的图片数量是不是太多了，有没有办法优化？

4.是不是网站的代码太长了，我看这里已经有3286行代码了，这个能够减少吗？

上面这些都是我猜可能造成网站速度过慢的原因，这一块我也不是特别懂

因为Newspaper主题的功能太强大了，很多模板文件这些我都不会改，所以也不知道也有什么办法可以优化，只有你们能够帮我了o(╥﹏╥)o
