Hi,

Check this demo, there could be others with video posts
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/
There are some smaller modules with video icons in that demo. Please check that and let me know.
We have not had any similar reports, if there is a problem we will investigate and fix it.

Thanks

I got the plugin installation by redoing all wordpress and theme install. However as informed, the moment the td composer plugin is installed, no page in the site works (HTTP ERROR 500). And that way, I have no accesses for some Demos.

Hi,

I can’t find a link on the theme demo that uses videoicons on the small images. Same size as where I have the issue, thanks.

I can only find videoicons on medium and big images on the theme demo. There is no videoicons on the small images on the theme demo I can find.

Thanks.

Hello Ginfox,

I saw that you are using the Rocket Loader which is the untested plugin with the theme and which cause some problems with the theme. Please check our demo and you will see that error will not appear. I have checked your source page and I saw this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4UKi5JiaKKM Your CDN configuration could be the problem. Check our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi!
something strange is happening to my site. I installed the new wordpress 4 times since yesterday. Everything works until the installation of heaven spa demo. After the installation works a few minutes and I even managed to change the background and a few details, but after a while the page disappears completely! The domain does not find a page, and I can only see what’s in the picture at the technical address. I did not modify any files or the htacces file. It just disappears!

Hi,

You can use any image you want, there would be no fixed or recommended sizes. For example the default demo uses this image size
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/mobile-bg.jpg (845×1334)

Another demo uses a different image size
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_craft_ideas
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_craft_ideas/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/3.jpg (667×1000)

Experiment with various image sizes until you get the needed result.

Paste it in the page content – https://www.screencast.com/t/Gwoxb2tNNpm5
That page is an example, you can create your own using composer elements and woocommerce shortcodes.
The Woocommerce link provided above mentioned in detail all the shortcodes available and their parameters. You can create your own design, not necessarily how the demo page does it.

Hi,

If you want to change the image for the travel guides demo, you will find it set an as a background for the row containing it: https://www.screencast.com/t/HGMWq9FmhvlN

Thank you!

I must be misunderstanding something, those are the same for me
Header style 1 – https://www.screencast.com/t/ta55ks0Xj
Header style 2 – https://www.screencast.com/t/7f91Yjvl

How exactly do they look for you? I am comparing default header styles with no modifications and default demo installed.

Ok. Where I have to paste the code you mentioned in demo page?

Hi,

The theme grids and most blocks are predefined, so they will always look in one way only. All types can be seen here
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/

The exception are flex blocks, these have a considerable amount of options to modify even the slightest thing. A single flex block can look in endless ways
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
Try to experiment with a flex block, see what can be achieved with it. .

Thanks

The link to the Woocommerce shortcodes is mentioned in my first reply in the topic
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

The shop demo page content is also provided in the same topic
https://pastebin.com/2RCe4N7C

You can use the Woocommerce shortcodes to display products in any page, as mentioned in the topic.

Hi,

If you installed the demo without content, the demo homepage will not be provided. The design is imported, but it will only apply for the elements used to build the demo page.

Let’s take the top section of the demo you mention, the big grid and stretched row. The row contains a class set when the demo was built
https://www.screencast.com/t/XYH6G0vnkxU
With class – https://www.screencast.com/t/eJrVjd9C
Without class – https://www.screencast.com/t/sl1J9PxBl

So you are missing the class “import_video_slider_bg”.

Of course this simple effect would be perfectly achievable in the CSS tab of the row, without the class, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/iPKionOiU9X4
This is exactly what the class does. Sets a negative margin top of “-48” and a padding top of “48”.

Despite installing the demo with no content and the homepage not being provided, you can copy the demo page content from the theme files and see how the page is built
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wish-about-the-demo/

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

Image captions have to be set per image, each image has it’s own captions. If you then use the images in a gallery for example, each will display the caption it has
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/

Thanks

Maybe you are not setting the full size of the image
https://www.screencast.com/t/JMqcmIoh3
If you set a thumbnail then that would be stretched to fill the container, the results will be blurry indeed.

Dear, I have gone through the discussion topic, but where can I find the exact shortcodes that you have used for the creation of the page?

Home page dark top should like like the home page dark top of video news demo. We have selected row strech option of the block row in composer, we still have a white background band between menu and block row as you can see at the top of our home page.

Hi,

The flex block does have an option to display the whole post meta above the thumbnail
https://www.screencast.com/t/pHYtwWPk
You could use flex blocks instead of predefined blocks. Doe to their flexibility, one can build entire pages with flex blocks
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/

The subtitle can be positioned anywhere in the single post page. Drag and drop it in the location that you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/BQWfdagWzlZl
That is easily done with the cloud library plugin and tagDiv composer, post template can be design in many ways
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
More beautiful templates will be added in coming updates, for posts as well.

Thanks

Hello nikkib312,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=http%3A%2F%2Fyesitreallyhappened.com%2F&tab=desktop

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Basically, these are the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thanks for your understanding!

Good Morning

I’m also using the travel demo. However I also have the problem that the photo in the header appears always blurred. I already put the photo in the size of 1920×815 and it always remains blurred. The photo has excellent quality. I do not understand why.

Thank you

Hi,

The thumbnails will be cropped center-top, not from the left
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
These modules have predefined thumbnail sizes, they cannot be changed.

If none of the modules display the images properly, you could experiment with the cloud category templates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The post loop element used in category pages uses the flex module used in flex blocks
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
The module has options to change how it looks, maybe you can use those settings to design a module that displays the images better
https://www.screencast.com/t/ABiVG9r70

Thanks

I’m using the gadget demo and I changed the theme accent color from orange to a blue. All accents were changed, but not on the category titles, they remained orange.

Is this actually the way this is done on some of the demos?

For instance, on one of the new demos: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_coffee

Is Yoast SEO being used to modify the title of this Home page?

We’ve been experiencing JS errors that makes the theme unusable on mobile devices – regardless of what plugins (outside of the core tagdiv plugins required) this issue keeps happening which causes images to fail to be displayed, and the hamburger menu to become unresponsive. We’ve tested for the last 24 hours with various fixes, reloading the theme, removing demo / themes, upgrading and patching. Nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

note: this issue and error only occurs on mobile devices / views.
