so far my experience is you can’t use Google’s NEW “responsive” ads unless you also add their custom CSS for the viewport to your child theme CSS (tricky).
Also, I found you can’t have ONE responsive ad unit for the top and sidebar.
So, for my setup I had to follow the 1.4 docs which show adding the old style two or three sizes for a topbar spot, and two sizes (300×250 and 250×250) for a sidebar spot.
The static ads don’t resize, a javascript peek is simply looking at the viewport depending on the starting screen size then feeding in the proper code to fit that space (e.g., 250×250 for ipad retina portrait).
In theory, to use full responsive adsense units you’d have to use the responsive ads section, paste in the complete code per space, then edit the CSS in your child theme to add Google’s viewport CSS for the class ID being used for their “new” format responsive ad unit.
I did put in a suggestion for tagdiv to possibly figure out how to make a new admin tab for the NEW (e.g., Sept./Oct. 2013) beta “responsive” unit ads from Google.
In theory, they may end up serving responsive units in place of the specified sizes anyway, at some point (meaning Google will do this dynamically …).
Hope that helped…. little bit of a trial and error to get proper sizes via the 1.4 methodology with the theme.
TOP BAR:
1) wider ad unit (728×60)
2) smaller ad unit
RIGHT BAR
1) 300×250
2) 250×250
HINT: go look at their live demo and resize browser to see the sizes they are using specifically since the actual sizes are not specified in the admin panel only the viewport sizes.

@msonerg, you can choose a layout for each category, just edit a category and select a layout. To see al layouts available there are on our demo in Features -> Category layouts

Adding to the docs would be useful. I have four tabs open right now in one browser on one screen with the site panel, another with live site, another with the demo, another with forum, and then on separate monitor in another browser I have the docs window open.

Can someone provide me with the complete list of the Newspaper Theme «Shortcodes». I can’t find any in the documentation. We can see the results and possibilities on the demo site at: http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/full_screen_preview/5489609, but it doesn’t tell us how to write the code into the html pages!? Per example, how do we script the shortcode into brackets [code] to get the Dropcaps to work?
Unfortunately, the only shortcodes I see into the edit text box are: [quote_left][/quote_left][quote_right][/quote_right]. Is there a problem with my WordPress instance or should I know how to write the shortcodes?

Sometimes, the block titles don’t show well in Mac computers with webkit based browsers (Safari and Chrome).
Examples in your demo site that don’t show well in Mac (OSX Lion, tested in Safari and Chrome, last versions).

Weird, because in the first example, only show bad the Facebook widget title. In the other examples, show bad all the titles. And in other post/pages, show wells all the titles.

It’s a problem that only affects mac computers. Chrome for Windows show wells the titles.
I have a lot of mac visitors in my site. It’s important to granted that they visualize well the site.

before buy Newspaper theme, I’ve seen that in the demo the user can disable the responsive feature, and at that point, every devices load the appropriate version, blocking at the user the capability to “resize” live the layout after loading.
We need to activate this feature in our blog because otherwise we could experience a lot of problems with advertising.
But unfortunately I can’t find where or how to do this in my live installation.
Someone could help me with this issue?

I have just installed the great Newspaper them and the one click demo.
Now trying to built my blog over.
But on every page, a block with Newspaper logo and your text appears at the bottom, just over the footer box. How can I disable this block or change it ?
I’d like to do the same about the contact page, I didn’t find how to turn to my own adress informations (the contact page is not available in the pages list).
I will appreciate a lot a quick answer from you, thank you a lot for your help.

Thank you for getting make to me. I have done that but I still don’t fully understand how it is working (I’m coming from elegant themes where you specify one or more tags and it creates a blog page based on that).

I can’t seem to find a “blog” template and am not sure how to go about creating a page that lists posts from a certain category as a blog style page like the link above.
