@Themisic yes totally agree. Tagdiv always give a simple ans that please diable mobile theme if you want a function to work, which is not the solution. If there is something faster make it/fix it so that it becomes better and the users are not penalised.

Everyone has to work according to Google, that is why one installs a theme so that it will be future ready. But they try to do their best, even if a bit slow.

Have not found a solution to lazy load in mobile theme till now.

@pulsatemedia
lot of issues, with the new Google algo update, which TagDiv theme is not ready for, one is this lazy load. Next WebP, luckily that solves with an additonal plugin. Then there is speed issue which this theme is at the low end of. Also resource issue. The list we have encountered is quite big. Am sure, in the next update they will cover all these.

I tried to explain above why this may happen, if the website loads slowly and the stylesheet and other website resources are not loaded in time, the tester will detect various issues.

Without the stylesheet loaded in time, for example the menu items are detected as being too close together – http://prntscr.com/o4dp3t
With the stylesheet they are not close together actually – http://prntscr.com/o4dpie

You can try to begin optimizing the website, making it faster to avoid such issues. Reduce the plugin number if possible, maybe use a CDN, consider a better hosting, also make sure the cache is set as recommended

As usual, I am optimizing my pages for faster loading. Something that is benefiting me in the latest Google updates.

I found this and honestly, I don’t know what it is….

“Elements.png” from https://soyungato.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/assets/images/sprite/elements.png

This is causing a significant delay in data loading. In addition, it has a status of 403

Can you help me solve this problem please?

https://gtmetrix.com/reports/soyungato.com/LshNmssW <— Click “Waterfall” and see this problem.

https://fotos.subefotos.com/cd32d45f4eb9aa1579b755987201c507o.jpg

Then, if it is forbidden (403) How can I prevent it from being loaded?

URL I have tested in gtmetrix for this error: https://cutt.ly/FoOowI

thanks

Hi,

Sometimes if the website resources like the stylesheet are slow to load, the result may be negative. If the style is not loaded in time when running the test the mobile version will look like this – http://prntscr.com/o3vv4q so it will mention that the menu item links are too close together. But actually when checking with a phone there is no problem.

There is a discussion in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-have-two-problems-in-mobile-friendly-test/

A solution to improve the mobile speed of the website is to use the mobile theme plugin. This is a simplified version of the website, it is much faster

Hi,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/

There are many optimization guides provided by our users here in the forum, some made by us, you could check some of them

Hi,

Cloud headers will be displayed only if the mobile theme is not active. The mobile theme is designed to work without using or requiring composer elements. That is why it is much faster. It has it’s own predefined header template which is used.
Settings are kept to a minimum to maintain performance. We will however add more settings for the mobile theme in future updates.

So you would like to use a text logo in the mobile theme, at the moment that is not possible unfortunately. It might be possible in the future. Currently only an image logo can be used.
I see this logo at the moment – http://prntscr.com/nya5a7

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

What is the best recommended plugin to minify the html and css files without going into complex codings to make the page speed faster…

kytmagic

I’ve checked and looked at all the speed stuff.

This is directly related to TOP ARTICLE SHARING enabled.

I would imagine one of your programmers might be able to tell me why. It runs much faster now right?

Hi,

The top structure of those recipe posts is created just for demo purposes. A related topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/food-blog/
You could use the same as in the demo, but maybe it would be easier and faster to use a dedicated recipe plugin.

The lost below it is an arrow list in the demo post
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/lists/ an arrow list can be created from an ordered or ordered list – http://prntscr.com/npcv1a
The size of the arrows could be changed but not by a setting. Try a code like this in the theme panel custom CSS section – http://prntscr.com/npcwko (modify the size as needed)

.td-post-content .td-arrow-list li:before {
font-size: 10px;
}

The big numbers are dropcaps – http://prntscr.com/npcx3u it depends on what you want to modify about them. They could be done with some CSS as well

Hi,

It will not, if the mobile theme plugin is active. If the mobile theme plugin is active, what is displayed on mobile will be different from desktop. For example the mobile homepage will display a top grid with 3 featured posts (if there are any)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Below that grid will be a latest articles section. The mobile theme is specially created for mobiles, it is faster than the default responsive theme version. Other pages will be empty on mobile, if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for each page
http://prntscr.com/ng341f

Here you can read more about it – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

The plugin is optional, so if you would like to display the same content from desktop on mobile, you could deactivate it.

Thanks

Could you please help?

Calin

Hi,

If you are using the mobile theme the content from mobile editor will be update with the same button ( will be the same page with different content).
If you do not want to use the mobile theme you can deactivate it and use the responsive version of Newspaper theme, the mobile theme plugin is made to make your website faster on mobile version, only that.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could try loading your own fonts in the theme panel and disable Google fonts in the theme, from what I can find online that might work. Or maybe load them in the theme header directly (with CSS font-face or import) and then apply them as well with CSS.

Here are some resources I found online, maybe they are helpful

How do I use the td-speed-booster plugin?

This link ( ) is not fully understood.

Hi Catalin,
1)Please see this: https://prnt.sc/nme2c5
Reference URL: https://www.gadgetbridge.com/news/paytm-mall-is-offering-a-cashback-of-up-to-rs-12000-on-iphone-xs-iphone-xr-and-others/
(in both normal and incognito mode)
2) We used to use Jetpack plugin a long time ago. we removed it a year ago and are not using it since then. Also, cache was cleared. What do you recommend to fix this as others too are getting undefined URL in the tab.
3) If we do next post, then if a person is on the very next post then nothing will. There has to be an option, if one is on the first post then the autoload will load the previous post. Or if the person is on an old post, he/she will see the latest post after that.
4) Hope we can get autoload feature in the mobile theme, as that is the theme that one uses since it is faster than a responsive theme.
5) Thanks will check this.

Catalin, I’m undergoing the same thing. I’m curious if there’s something you guys could do on your end to make it less slow in future updates or is it solely up to us to make it faster?

David

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your links, unfortunately, they do not fit. What I’m talking about is the optimization of AMP-posts that are already set up with AMP Newspaper Theme. The posts on AMP are very fast loading, but only 88% – 90% in Google Lighthouse Pagespeed tool. So there is a way to improve to score 100% with AMP Newspaper Theme. One point they recommend/ warn is:

Provide images in modern formats 0,45 s possible load saving
Image formats such as JPEG 2000, JPEG XR and WebP often offer better compression than PNG or JPEG, enabling faster downloads and lower data consumption. Learn more.

How can this be achieved with AMP Newspaper Theme? (No changes to rest of the site, only in AMP)

David
tagDiv Member

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your reply! Now I understand, the Google Pagespeed Module activated on our server (to optimize images in the frontend, original .jpg) doesn’t optimize the images on AMP. This might solve the problem. BUT

The reason why I activated this module is, Google came up with the following warning:

Provide images in modern formats 0,45 s possible load saving
Image formats such as JPEG 2000, JPEG XR and WebP often offer better compression than PNG or JPEG, enabling faster downloads and lower data consumption. Learn more.

How to achieve this on your AMP? Can this be optimized by the theme AMP? I want to score 100% pagespeed not just 88%.

Hi,

The mobile editor is for simple text, images, and what is possible with it. Entering composer shortcodes in it will not work properly and may cause problems. The mobile version is separated from composer elements and the main theme, it has it’s own files, doesn’t have many settings that may slow it down etc. This is why it is faster.

If displaying composer elements on mobile is needed, the solution is to disable the mobile theme plugin.

What exactly would you like to edit regarding the mobile latest articles section? If you want to do code modifications to it, in the homepage, the file is here (since update 9.7)
http://prntscr.com/nju3hb

Thanks
