Hi,
Normally, if is only a font, even if it’s in different versions, if you set it in the theme panel, it should not create problems, but in case you want to load it only in a few pages and those pages are create with tagDiv Composer, then use the html element (set it as first element in content) and add the font there. For more detsils you can check this guide https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-host-local-fonts-in-wordpress-for-a-faster-website/
Thank you!
I don’t need automatic translation, I just need a somewhat normal translation workflow. We are following that guide that you sent for now, doing it is faster than waiting for either TagDiv or WPML to fix things. But that guide is just a hack, not a solution.
Hi,
If you can provide WP-Admin access, then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and please include in the email the line of this topic so we can identify the problem faster.
Thank you!
Hi,
A quickfix is to enable the lockers for the events, please check in the theme panel and you should see your events post type and enable the locker for them here https://prnt.sc/2vRjAnM-IliL This just enables the option to use lockers for the events, you don’t have to actually set lockers for them, just enable that option.
As a PHP version, you can use 8.3.
Related to pagespeed for medium speed you can use this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ (a free cache plugin that can provide cache and also optimize the js and css, optimize the images and convert in webp format). Use forom the theme panel this option – https://i.imgur.com/9DgGmdf.png
For premium cache plugins we recommend WP Rocket – https://forum.tagdiv.com/wp-rocket-and-newspaper-theme-optimization-guide/
Thanks.

Hello,
I understand, can you make a full backup and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access to investigate this situation? Also, include a link to this topic so that we can identify you faster.
Thank you!
Hello,
You need to use a good cache plugin, for example WP Rocket is one of the best but is not free. For free cache you can try WP Optimizer, Litespeed cache and you can also use this article https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!
Hi,
I totally understand how frustrating this is a 20–30 sec load time is definitely not normal, and we’ll get it faster.
Just to clarify: the Newspaper theme itself isn’t the main problem. A website’s speed depends on more factors working together:
Hosting: If the hosting plan is small or shared, it can limit performance. Upgrading to a stronger plan (for example, VPS or managed WordPress hosting) can make a huge difference.
Examples: SiteGround GrowBig / Cloudways / Hostinger Business.
Optimization & Cache: Make sure you’re using a good caching setup (like WP Rocket pro plugin or LiteSpeed Cache free/pro) and have images optimized (via EWWW Image Optimizer or Imagify).
CDN: Adding a CDN like Cloudflare or BunnyCDN helps load content faster worldwide.
Even the Newspaper can run under 3 seconds when these parts are properly configured.
Thank you!
Thank you – I will do the suggested, but this is just one optimization of a million I have done talking to you guys and the webhotel provider. It’s still slow AF. And it’s frustrating.
Tbh I dont want a “very fast website” – I want to have a site that loads within a reasonable time – not 20-30 seconds.
And whereas optimizing, turning of cronjobs, using caches etc etc may help, it’s STILL SLOW AF! The explanation CANNOT be that Newspaper is heavy and provider is slow… bc NO user should put up with this CRAZY slowness – and all the bad excuses.
Please try to help me for real? Or I’ll have to use mountains of time migrating it to another solution… many people are contributing to the content and both them and readers are getting annoyed with this.
Is the MAG theme able to run faster? Is the real excuse that newspaper is a dead end?
HELP!
Hi,
I just tried the live search from the theme, but it appears that something is interfering with it – https://i.imgur.com/5kysY2e.png. It is possible that it is a delay option from WP Rocket.
If its a large website then it could take longer. You could try optimizing the database if possible, there are multiple guides, like this one https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/optimize-your-wordpress-database-with-one-click/
Dedicated search plugins (mostly premium versions) can provide faster results https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/12-wordpress-search-plugins-to-improve-your-site-search/
Thanks.
Hi,
This can be a plugin conflict, please make a test using only tagDiv plugins and see if the problem persists.
If the problem is the same using only the theme plugins, please make a full backup of the website and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide WP-Admin and cPanel access to investigate the problem. Include the link of this topic so we can identify you faster.
Thank you!
Hi,
Normally you don’t need code to have a wider content. You can simply stretch the rows to the needed width https://prnt.sc/FaV_ZlcE8Ise Just make sure that there is no general background image https://prnt.sc/_jUYpUUi2FOe or color https://prnt.sc/QP8iVrxcYkOR set in the theme panel, or else the theme will be boxed and it will not be possible to stretch it with any settings.
But if you must use CSS to stretch the content, the effect of the code may be visible while the page loads. You could load the CSS code faster, in the head using style tags https://prnt.sc/FePhAZdXhdCV This should load the code fast so the effect of the code loading should either be reduced greatly or removed entirely.
Thanks.

Hi,
The tagDiv Mobile theme plugin is usually used for blocks because it has no options to customize it, which is what is making it faster.
If you want to have the same version as on desktop, then it will be better to use the responsive version or you can try the mobile page and reduce the elements from the page and optimize it for mobile – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
Thank you for your reply, Calin.
What I’m looking for is a solution that adds a dedicated “Portfolio” section to WordPress (alongside the default “Posts” and “Pages”)—exactly like what you see in the attached image. That type of structure is quite common in many other WordPress themes.
I’ve read online that one possible way to achieve this is by using “Custom Post Type UI” along with “Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)”, but this method seems a bit complex and time-consuming.
Do you recommend a faster or simpler approach to achieve the same result using the Newspaper theme?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
Upon checking the console, it appears that the website is unable to locate an image and is trying to load it from the following URLs:
I suggest verifying whether this image is set as a background under the mobile menu or search background in the EWSapper > Theme Pane > Background section. You can check here:
If the image is present, simply remove it and save the settings. Afterward, please clear all cache. This should help improve the website’s loading speed.
Once this is done, we can check if the website is loading faster and assess what further optimizations can be made.
Thank you!
Hello Anamaria,
I am using a purchased version of Newsmag and in the actual version I’ve read the tagDiv stating
1) “tagDiv Mobile Theme – Make your website lighter and faster on all mobile devices” and
2) “Official AMP for WP – Mobile Theme requires the AMP plugin to give your site the best results”
and here I read your comment, that AMP is deprecated for more than two years now.
I am confused – could you please clarify the situation?
I am asking especially because I am currently receiving more than two millions of error messages per day, all identical:
“PHP Deprecated: preg_match(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/vhosts/…/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/Mobile_Detect.php on line 1257”
Thanx!
Hello,
I recently purchased the Newspaper 12 theme from ThemeForest.
When I download the “All files & documentation” package (about 90 MB) and unzip it, the newspaper.zip file inside is only about 3 MB.
From what I understand, the full Newspaper theme should be much larger (around 50–70 MB) and contain all the necessary CSS, JS, and other assets, but my file seems incomplete.
I have tried:
Downloading both the “All files & documentation” and “Installable WordPress file only” options.
Unzipping the package and checking the folders carefully.
Downloading again from a different browser.
The problem persists — the theme file is always about 3 MB. Could you please advise me on how to get the full installable theme?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
If you want, I can also prepare a screenshot + folder structure to send with this email so they can see the 3 MB file and confirm the issue faster. That usually speeds up their reply.
Do you want me to make that for you?
Hi,
I just made a test on one of my installations and for me it is working normally – https://i.imgur.com/ugpYBgd.png – https://i.imgur.com/Eg8GhIx.jpeg
If you can provide a temporary wp-admin access will help a lot. This can be done via email at contact@tagdiv.com also include the link of this topic to identify you faster.
Thank you!
