Wellll…. all our news is in Google News, and has been since 2005, without AMP 😉

And luckily AMP doesn’t create duplicate content issues, since the canonical link is designed just for that purpose and the AMP version links back to the real version to solve that (same way a print template does). With our old CMS on our big site, not using WP, and generating static shtml pages), we has static print and AMP pages, and both had canonical links, and the AMP template was built off the print template since there were not AMP plugins when we got started on that (and the main site didn’t use WP at that time, but now does).

For our news pages now (not using TD theme, but custom thing), we can load up the full news story with 2 images, logos, content, queries for related stories, etc., in 1.3 sec fully loaded. AMP version is quicker. But a scaled back print version would be just as quick.

All about the payload.

And with move to PHP7 + http/2 the speed will be even faster.

I guess we’re thinking over here that http/2 with a lean template would be better than AMP for user speed on mobile in the coming year. We’re playing with this anyway.

Doesn’t solve the page count issue — but of course Google wants you to run GA on AMP, and so that might even be the only truly workable solution for metrics on AMP pages.

Anyway — back to work before Labor Day holiday here …. cheers 🙂

Hi

I have a question regarding lazy loading animation on NewsMag. What exactly this is? Is it just an animation effect or any actual lazy loading is taking place? I need to know if I should disable the animation and use an external lazy loading plugin. Just want to make the page loading faster.

Best Regards
Narinder

Dear TagDiv Team,

I am currently busy with the performance optimization of a website “http://staging.labelpack.de/”via Google pagespeed. After going through the “How to make the site faster” article from you “https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-mak e-the-site-faster/” step by step unfortunately the page only have an increase of 54% to 62%.

What else can I make that the website load faster?

Kind Regards
Hansi

What’s the idea behind Newsmag? It seems largely identical to Newspaper.

Is Newsmag coded differently/better? It seems faster. Is that my imagination?

Hello,

Many thank’s for your help.
I confirm you that i have folow this ghide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

So, no problem for all the steps.
The only think that i don’t understend it’s the ID of the JS script.
So, when i make the test, on the section ” Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” the first line it’s:
https://www.domain/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4
Then i try to identify the ID of this java scrip on the notepad where i save a list with the id for all the css and js but i realy don’t know what it’s that!

Please let me know if i can share here the list ?! and if you can told me what it’s the ID ?!

Many regards.

Hello,

I try to make my web site faster because now i have a low score: 55/65 on google page speed test.
So, my problem it’s on ” Remove render blocking css/js ”
I realy don’t know what it is my mistake. I will explain you step by step what i have do :

1: I have install yous plugin: TagDiv SpeedBooster
2: I have add on function.php the your specific code.
3: I have extract all id for all the css and js from top page.
4: I have remove the code from functions.php
5: I have test the page and i have identify the ID of the JS script. for example the first line it’s:
https://www.domain/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 then, on the file td-speed-booster.php i have added this code: $this->move_js_to_footer(‘jquery ‘);

This is corect ?! I have doutes that the code that i have add it’s corect.
I realy don’t know exaxt what ID i must identify in my list because the id that i have add nothing happened.

Hi,

The theme will create it’s own thumbnails from the featured images you set for your posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
These will be used on the blocks that you place on pages and used in various other locations on the website.
The thumbnail sizes can be enabled or disabled in the theme panel. For each thumbnail it is specified where it is being used

You can keep using Visual Composer – it’s not ‘gone.’

The TDComposer is a more lightweight, faster, more secure solution for those who only use the pagebuilder for home page, business info pages, etc. and don’t use it on posts, where there is already wide variety of custom post layouts.

For our sites, it’s a perfect fit, as we don’t custom build ‘posts,’ only ‘pages’ and so it’s much faster, and less prone to all the weird system issues we’ve had with VC.

Nothing to correct in the sense of “it’s bad….” — if you have found a bug and can identify how you experienced it, where and why, and what steps taken to debug that, they will definitely address it for the next update to TDC — which is still fairly young, and still being developed.

TDC is *not* a 1:1 replacement for VC. Two totally different things.

If you like VC, keep using it. If you don’t want to switch to TDC, you don’t have to.

TagDiv doesn’t make or manage WP SuperCache — you may want to use the support site on WordPress.org for that plugin, to get faster help!

Hi,

It is not likely that the tagDiv composer is causing the page loading issue. This composer is noticeably faster then the Visual composer as well
https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Please provide some examples of the problem, and more details about the circumstances this happens.

Thanks

Hi

After editing a page using TagDiv plugin, it takes way too long to load the page.
Is there something I can do to load it faster? By the way, I didn’t have this problem with the JS Composer.
