Hello, I am running my website on multi site platform and using some plugins that are creating render blocking Js and Css. I read your tutorial about moving the CSS and Js by adding codes to Speed Booster plugin.
Now can you tell me how can I move the CSS and Js of the Plugins those ID is not in the list after entering the code in functions.php.
With JS visual composer, I was able to use shortcodes, and it was also directly integrated with plugins like Easy Social Share plugin. I understand that integrating with popular third party plugins will take time, but there must be some ways to use Shortcodes on the homepage.
Even default WordPress ‘Text widget’ supports shortcodes but I couldn’t find a way to use it with the Tagdiv composer.
Here are two versions of code I have to use it one the homepage:
simple shortcode:
[easy-subscribe design=”design2″]
To use this shortcode into PHP templates:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[easy-subscribe design=”design2″]’); ?>
Kindly help me to use any of these on my homepage newly created with the TagDiv composer.
PS: I must say that TagDiv composer is far far faster than a Visual composer. So, congratulation TagDiv team for creating this.
Thank you. 🙂
Hi,

Hi
My website is:
Please try to search “Dragon Ball”, the live ajax search takes ages to show the results. What can be done to make it faster?
The mobile menu is not nice at all with it’s outdated gradient background, poor functioning links and laggyness. How to completely change it to a more modern look, faster and better functionality?
Dear Tagdiv!
1. I would like the article subtitle to be displayed under the title on the category page (and on the main page where articles are in a block), instead of the article-begining. I also want the title and the featured image to stay visible. In which templates can I achieve it? Is there a code for solving it in any templates?
2. At many cases where the beginning of the article is displayed, the „read more” line is ignored. How can I make Newsmag take it into consideration?
3. At the end of the posts the „related articles” and „More from author” buttons are also displayed but I only want the „related articles” to stay.
4. I would like the date to be displayed at the most articles but there are some exceptions at whiches I would like to hide it (if it matters, these exceptions are in one category and it is different from whiches contain the other articles).
5. Is there a way to pre-edit and save an post template for using it several times? We upload many similar posts and the process will be much faster if we would not have to edit the category, the format and the post template all the time.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi,
I could not say why it is not compressing when it should. The theme demo server is configured like mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Maybe you can get more instructions from your hosting provider. They may be able to help you in this matter.
Thanks
Dear Sir/Madame,
I am facing a theme speed issue after adding custom CSS to my theme, from the theme panel. Initial speed, without the custom CSS, is 94/97 on Speed Insights which is super.
Upon adding the custom CSS I get these 6 strange render-blocking CSS which where not there before:
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=4.8
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,400,600,700|Roboto+Condensed:300,300italic,400,400italic,700,700italic&ver=3.4
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/genericons/genericons/genericons.css?ver=3.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/css/jetpack.css?ver=5.0
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=5.1.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=3.4
As a result the website speeds down by 79/91, which is great, but why not speed up more (I mean your theme has amazing speed).
Even if I deactivate all erelevant plugins like Jetpack or Contact Form 7, I still get render 4 blocking sources (which I don’t get without the custom code)
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,400,600,700|Roboto+Condensed:300,300italic,400,400italic,700,700italic&ver=3.4
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=5.1.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=3.4
I followed your instructions here but I cannot seem to find these particular CSS that causes this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Based on your instruction I added to the td-speed-booster.php the following code
//@todo test on newsmag
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘contact-form-7’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘jetpack’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘js_composer_front’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘Newsmag’);
but the issue persists.
Unfortunately I cannot use WP Cache on my server because it does not support the plugin. I can use other 3rd party plugins to optimize (Autoptimize, Above the fold) but that will only take me to 84%.
Any suggestions?
Am I doing something wrong??
My website url is this one:
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/
Thank you for the great theme,
Dimitris Belegris
Is a great theme, but we are forced to use 3rd party plugins for make the website faster. I disabled wp-rocket and yoast and was the same thing. I will try to debug more.
Hi,
You can try to increase your loading speed by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
As a note on speedbooster: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/

Hi,
Maybe the server does not meet the requirements for the level of load it currently has
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Try to test while having no other plugins activated, except the ones provided with the theme. You should install this caching plugin with these settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also here you can find a guide to further improve the website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
And maybe redesign your homepage using the tagDiv composer, and keep it as light as possible, like Bogdan suggested. Try using less block pagination, and ajax filters

Thanks

Hello lacox702,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized -> https://www.screencast.com/t/45GsBcKrI. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services is not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements. Hello pedroxi,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your loading page is poor when I access at the first time your homepage. Also, I checked your source page and I saw that you are using a lot of unknown plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues, like Autoptimize and lazy load plugin. I suggest you remove all of them, leave just our required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, I have checked your website on Google Insights and your loading page is not a good one, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/W1tRoq9CUM You need to do some customizations as in that list is suggested if you want to achieve best theme results.

Hello,
The theme does default to the minified version if you use the tagdiv speedbooster plugin as mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
As a note on the speed booster plugin compatiblity: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Thank you!
Hi,
By default the Speed booster plugin will not work when it detects other plugins except the ones from a specified list. More information in these topics

Hello,
This topic is from 2014.
Please use this guide for page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Solutions from 3 years back will not work in the current version of the theme.
Thank you!
As far as goole is concerned, your page speed is pretty low and optimization not done on your site:

If you setup home page same way with same meta data and structure, why would your SEO change?
You can create virtually identical home page with TDC vs VC and much smaller data payload for TDC vs VC, so pages *will* run faster for most people on modern servers.
Most of the ‘custom’ modules for the THEME were created by TD, not by VC, so easy for them to port into leaner meaner builder. Also “most” people don’t use the builder for “posts” and only use for “pages” such as home page, services page, etc., and all of that can be built/tested with draft pages — without harming live pages, per normal WP dev practice for revamps.
It’s a win-win for everyone, not a mistake or fool’s errand. VC has a huge footprint, and on some systems it kills the box, and after several years of growing bloat many of us with news portals refuse to use it on anything except a simple corporate site.
TD Newspaper plus the TDC builder will be an awesome option for folks who are starting from scratch, migrating to leaner build structure vs VC, and for those who want to optimize system resources and drop all the bloat in VC that they never have or will use for anything.
Just an opinion for anybody dropping into the thread in a ‘panic.’ (TIP: don’t panic!)
