You repeated what I already read from your documentation. I have actually applied all and not seeing RELATED POSTS exactly as yours. I notice the MUSIC block is called FLEX BLOCK and I don’t see same in the widgets.

I have been having some trouble getting the display for a particular block to look as I would like. I’m sure the support team is familiar enough with the layout options to offer a solution.

My home page is using Flex Block 4, which, by default, consists of two modules. In this screenshot, you’ll see how it displays:
https://postimg.cc/cKLshsgL

I would like this area to display all stories (six in total) as the stories in the green box. In other words, the stories in the blue box (Module 2) should display with an identical layout to the stories in the green box (Module 1). I don’t need two modules, just one module––Module 1––displaying six stories.

How can I do this?

Thanks for your help!

P.S. If the support team needs access to my WP site, credentials have been supplied via e-mail on the previous ticket under my account.

I’m struggling to achieve some features in your demo. I want related posts to look beautifully like yours. Also, can I have the NEXT and PREVIOUS posts look like the demo? How can I have the FLEX BLOCK 1 in the sidebar widget? My site is http://bit.ly/2OBVdDc

Is there any particular reason to limit this great slider?
As it adapts well to different widths I cant understand why you have limited its use as it could perfectly adapt its size to a 2/3 column.
There is not any other flex block with slider which can show multiple elements.

Hi Calin,
i cant see how flex solve my problem.

I’ve added additional input fields (http://prntscr.com/mqxeqt) with the ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) plugin.

I would like to display these values in the article View – for this I modified the file td_module_2.php.
With “<?php the_field(‘kontext-titel’, $this->post->ID); ?>” this works both in the Article Display Wiew M2 and when using the Block 4 in TD Composer. But as soon as I do an if query “<?php if( get_field(‘kontext-titel’) ): ?><?php the_field(‘kontext-titel’, $this->post->ID); ?><?php endif; ?>” it works only in the Article Display Wiew M2 but not in block 4. Here are the screenshots:
modified td_module_2.php: http://prntscr.com/mqh9nz
Article Display Wiew M2: http://s752582646.online.de/category/magazin/new-business
Block 4 in TD Composer: http://s752582646.online.de/magazin

If you are referring to this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/55VVgdN981 this is made form big grid flex 1 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hw4XV1HR -> https://www.screencast.com/t/CMkUSqCv all you need to do is to try the settings for flex block until you get the layout you want.

Thank you!

Hi,

The Big grid is for large space/width, and that is set a condition to be set on a row that have the fill width, and yes is resize, but in order to can resize it need to be on a full row.
You can try to use some normal blocks or flex blocks.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

Why you are not using flex blocks, those can be set after your needs
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/Qdn7aLYPn
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/VjbG09vy4
I think this can achieve what you need without to be need to make changes in modules.

Thank you!

Hi Catalin
Perhaps I did not make it all clear, that it was in widgets I needed the block. And you are right about Flex Blocks, and if you had used link to visit site, you would have seen that I am already doing that. But no Flex Blocks in widgets – or am I missing something?!
Don’t tell mi to use Flex Block in sidebar as solution.

But thank you for the guide to API implementation, I will perhaps look at that, if I get the time.

Regards Tommy

Hi,

That is happen because the blocks that you have set are using thumbs
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/

If you want you can use the flex blocks were You can select the thumbs
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/g6VRcWgv

Thank you.

Hi,

Try to use the Flex Blocks which allows you to create your own style. Check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ODOfoS0vBO where you will have some available options for that element. Also, if you do not like this one, you can try to create your own block via API implementation according to our useful guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_blockadd/ Also, please notice that guide is addressed only for advanced users and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to make in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide support for API implementation and custom work, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

For background on menu bar and space between main menu you’ll need to use the header builder https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/

Unfortunately for block 15 you can not set individual color, only if you are using flex blocks, if you want to use that block you’ll need to set a custom css
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/UZ0FdnBQKO
.td_block_15 .td-column-3 .td_module_mx4 .entry-title a{
color: #fff;
}

Thank you!

Hello,

Sorry but the standard big grids (that do not have ‘full’ next to them) cannot go full width. Only big grids full or flex grids can go full width. Use a flex grid instead to create a custom grid similar to big grid 12.

Thank you!

Hello,

Sorry but we cannot offer any customization services at the moment. If you need help with custom work you can hire a freelancer from sites like studio.envato.com or other trusted freelance websites. TH=here is no function already created that can grab the tags from the posts shown in the big grid flex. You need a custom function for it.

Thank you!

Hi,

Please note that only the first layout of row is designed for blocks -> https://www.screencast.com/t/yklPEyXIPzw is possible to work on others layout too, but is most probably to have a different layout.
For a better control and more options please use flex blocks, those can be set in all layouts.

Thank you for your understanding!

That is possible with a flex block, for example with flex block 1 make it look like this on desktop – http://prntscr.com/mojnsz and like this on mobile – http://prntscr.com/mojo3h

The layout settings can be different for each case – http://prntscr.com/mojoeu So the same flex block can look in four different ways.

Hi,

So a page that displays your posts, but without featured images? You could use flex blocks in it, these have an option to remove the image customize the layout, and many design options.

For example this block – https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/single/page/Blocks/454 which you can import with the cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Blocks will show excerpts from the post by default, the length of them can be set to the value you want
http://prntscr.com/moi23u
You can choose the desired row layout – http://prntscr.com/moi3dn

Let me know if you have more questions or you need help.
Thanks

I’m using big grid flex 5 on my home page https://www.westislandblog.com/newspapertheme/ and when i look on mobile, it’s going off the screen, is there a setting i’m missing to get it ok on mobile?

Simion C.

The predefined blocks will not display properly in that layout, if you want to use that layout please use a flex block or flex grid. Flex blocks will adapt to better and have many customization and layout options.

For example these designs are all made with flex blocks, you can import each one through the cloud library plugin
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks

Hi,

Please make sure that your image/flex is set in header not content and this will appear -> https://www.screencast.com/t/DvbpsxKQob

Thank you!

Hello,

If you need more customization to your blocks, I recommend using the new flex blocks and flex grids. They offer way more settings than the old standard blocks. The standard blocks will eventually become deprecated as all of them can already be replicated using the new flex blocks.

Thank you!
