Hi,
The option is only on flex blocks. This option was added in Newsapper 12.3, and the current theme version is 12.7.4
Subject: Post published in Dashboard but not appearing on the live website – ashkelonnow.co.il
Message:
Hello tagDiv Support Team,
I am using the Newspaper PRO theme for my news website and I am facing an issue where new posts are not appearing on the live site after being published.
Site Details:
Domain: https://ashkelonnow.co.il
Contact Email: 247elad@gmail.com
Hosting: Hostinger (hPanel)
The Issue: I have successfully published a post via the WordPress dashboard, but it does not show up on the homepage or the category pages when viewing the site as a visitor.
Steps I have already taken:
Cache Clearing: I have cleared the cache via Hostinger hPanel (“Purge Cache”) and used the LiteSpeed Cache “Purge All” tool.
LiteSpeed Settings: My LiteSpeed settings are configured to “Auto Purge” all pages, including the Front Page, upon publishing/updating a post.
Theme Settings: I am using the TagDiv Composer for my layout. I have checked the “Flex Block” filters to ensure no specific categories are blocking the new post.
Could you please assist me in identifying why the live site is not updating? Is there a specific setting within the TagDiv Cloud Library templates or Theme Panel that I might have missed?
Thank you for your help, Elad
Hi,
The theme uses admin-ajax to handle the request to the database. Now each block from a page will make it’s on requets, so what you can do is to reduce the number of blocks on your pages.
Another option that can help is the flex blocks teh cache option https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/. This option will cache those block requests and deliver them as long as the cache is set (is recommended that the cache expiration time to be longer if you create only a few articles per day)
Thank you!
Hi,
To see the CPT you want, make sure that you set this cpt in the flex block builder in the post type section – https://prnt.sc/VS5beQwS8tL3 (that CPT must exist on your website).
Thank you!
Hi,
As per your instructions, I have used the flex block builder and selected the module that I have downloaded “APP Listings – 2 from App Find PRO Demo” and used it in my website aiopscommunity.com but the module doesn’t list the posts from the app listings. You can check the same under the heading “AiOps Apps / Tools” in the url that I have given “https://aiopscommunity.com”
Ok, so you have now under cloud templates > modules that module, right? If so, edit the page/ template taht display taht message, select the element (will be a flex block builder) and set the module that you just got from the cloud. ou can get allthe details in our guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-builder-flex-loop-builder/
Hi,
What you can do is to use the flex block cache option and set it to at least 10 minutes, this should improve the results https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/
Thanks for the clarification, Calin.
Suggestion still stands, would be great if the developers could add an option to display the message on flex blocks as well as loop blocks.
Hi Calin,
Just tried the flex block builder, which as you say does have the filtering options. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t let me display a ‘no results found’ message.
Thank you for the tip nonetheless.
Hi,
Unfoirtunately thetre is no Big grid like taht but you can create one, use a row, set it in 2 columns, in the first column make it smaller and the second column bigger https://i.imgur.com/wAiP2XX.png then set the Big grid flex 1 and set it to display only one grid per row – https://i.imgur.com/aLXPRPh.png after that copy it and paste it uin the left column to get 3 grids and in the right column once – it will look like this https://i.imgur.com/riKuioS.png after that just adjust the image from layout tab, set the margin 0 for the bottom and set the filer and offset on each block in part https://i.imgur.com/gFw6t5y.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/8BahnM8.png
Hi,
If you want to have the possibility to use modules but also to manually set the category in the filter, then you can use the flex block builder. This block uses the module you made with the module builder and provides all the settings you need as a flex block does.
hi
i use big grid flex 3 ( the big pic on left)
i want (the pig pic on rguht)
see this https://prnt.sc/iE0GjB-cJfKX
Hi Calin,
Thank you for the prompt response as always. I had a play with the module builder, and though it’s very useful, I went back to Flex Block X due to its ability to filter by category.
Perhaps one for the suggestions box; it would be handy to display ‘no results’ on a Flex Block that doesn’t return results.
Hi,
I see you want the module to be the same height, right now, this is based on the title, excerpt and read more button – https://i.imgur.com/KiQ5Ff6.png
What you can do is to check a solution provided in this similar situation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/flex-block-1-and-same-blocks-height/
Hi,
Only the loop elements can display the no results message.
In case you want to create your own module for search, you can use the module builder and use the flex loop builder to display the results.
Unfortunately, there is no option to display the number of results on the search page right now.
Hi,
If you want to have a video format for the articles, please use our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
To have a similar layout, you need to choose teh right block, the one that is most similar to the one from your screenshot (you can choose from the flex blocks elements), using tagDiv Composer, you can adjust it from the layout tab. A much better way is to create your own layout using the module builder and display it in the flex block builder.
Thank you!
Hi,
You can set the same block to display all of your CPTs. However, the limitation is that you cannot choose which CPT module to display directly from the block. Because of this, the results are based only on filters and sorting options.
The block does offer the possibility to manually set the IDs of the CPTs you want to display. The downside of this approach is that it must be updated manually every time you add or change an article. You can see an example here: https://i.imgur.com/lC0HYOi.png
An alternative solution would be to use a row layout:
Create a row and set it to 2 columns.
In the first column, add a Big Grid Flex 1 element and configure it to display only one result, adjusted to your needs.
In the second column, if you need multiple columns, add an inner row and set the number of inner columns as required.
You can add multiple inner rows within the same column if needed.
In each inner row, add the same Big Grid Flex 1 element and adjust its settings to display the desired CPT.
This setup provides more flexibility and allows you to control exactly what content is displayed in each area.
Thank you!
Hi,
I understand. The only elements that have similar options are the Slide and Big Grid Slide elements. However, I believe you can achieve this more easily by using Revolution Slider.
You can set the Revolution Slider (Import Revolution Sliders) to display the latest articles and choose a specific category, if you want to use a special one. After configuring the slider, simply add it in tagDiv Composer using the dedicated Revolution Slider element.
This approach should give you more flexibility and better control over the layout.
Hi,
The theme includes only one global option to enable or disable lazy loading. Because of this, lazy loading should be controlled from **a single location only**. If you are using a caching plugin or an image optimization plugin, please make sure that lazy loading is enabled in only one place to avoid conflicts.
Additionally, if you are using a separate image optimization plugin, it may offer the option to exclude lazy loading for specific elements. This can usually be done by targeting the element’s CSS class, for example:
.td_block_big_grid_flex_3 .entry-thumb
Using exclusions like this can help fine-tune how lazy loading behaves on your site.
Thank you!
Hello, I’m still having a similar issue, my images look great but I am getting cropping on the bottom of the flex block. I need space for the full title, but then for the ‘read more’ buttons on the bottom to be aligned.
This is happening on my site here
how disable lazy load for big grid flex 3
Hi team,
Happy New Year!
Currently in the process of improving our search experience and need a little help.
When using Flex Block X, is there a way to get it to display ‘No results’ or a custom message when no search results are found?
In addition to the above, is there also a way to show in numeric form how many search results are found? ‘Your search returned ## results’ – that sort of thing.
Thank you for your time.
Hi Ling,
I understand, but if you think you want to share the results from the grid this is not possible, in the grid you can actually display articles from normal post categories and custom post categories by using the settings provided for categories, taxonomies and post type to display, but tjhose will be displayed base on the sort selected, for example if is on lates will display the lates from all categories you have configured for the grid https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Hi,
The answer is yes and no.
You can use different flex blocks and loops per category if you create different category templates and you assign them to those categories, but not to the same category template.
For example you can create a category template that will be used on most of the categories, this will be set as global https://prnt.sc/7RxaX0PI4tqQ then you create one extra template (or as many as you want) that will be assigned individually, for example – https://prnt.sc/YI7ui-Q-beyG
Thank you!
Hi team
URL is finoark.com
I need it for 2 blocks.
Flex BLock 1
The last 28 news should auto scroll vertically means like a carousel. Once a new article is published it will start from there once again.
Big Grid Flex 1
The last 8 article from that filter should auto scroll horizontally after the page loads means like a carousel. Once a new article is published it will start from there once again.
Looking for your assistance into this.
Thank you!!
