Hello,

I think you referring to edit the footer with tagDiv Composer if you go to a page where it is assigned and edit that page with tagDiv Composer, and then you will have access to the footer also. For example, edit your homepage with tagDiv Composer, scroll till footer, click on footer zone and you can edit it.

Thank you!

Hi, we use Cloud templates for header and other pages, and no problem, all of them allow you to edit with TagDiv composer.
But now we wanted to change our footer too into this cloud system and this happens:
you can create it (we tried both blank page and existing samples) then at this moment it allows you to edit it with TagDiv. As soon as you save it and close it. The option to edit with TagDiv composer is not there anymore.

We believe this to be a bug, as for everything else works perfectly.

Hopefully it can be easily solved!
Thanks in advance

Hello,

First, make sure you have added the limit also in your wp-config.php file, in config is WP_MEMORY_LIMIT not PHP Memory Limit (there is a typo, sorry) check this: https://www.screencast.com/t/88pK5QXpC –> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Also, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non-theme/tested plugins, also if you are using a child theme, clear all cache and try again.

Hello!

1. If you mean Mobile theme, then yes you can uninstall it and you will have a responsive version automatically. You could have a great quality depends about your customizations made there.

2. I don’t know exactly which menu you mean. Maybe, you can show me a screenshot with it. But, the existing menu from header is the same on both pages. Also, you can edit a post with TagDiv Composer and add/delete an element from the post page easily. Take a look on this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

3. Please make sure that you have activated the proper thumbs in order to show the featured images properly. This can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh
After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

4. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer and you can assign which header and footer you need by accessing the Website Manager. Please note that you need to use a cloud/PRO template for that and also you can not customize the Mobile Theme templates.

5. 6. 7. 8. I checked your website and it seems you haven’t this section there, count of views, social icons or autoscrolling posts.

Thank you!

Hi,

Since switched to Cloud Templates and updated my site to latest WordPress and Newspaper, my content scrolls behind my footer. This happens on Categories and Tags, no matter which browser I use. Example
Please scroll down to the footer to see how the page hides behind it. On mobile its even worse, after scrolling down around half of the page, the background starts scrolling instead of the grid.

Please help.

Thanks!

I built my website with mobile template & mobile pages.
The mobile theme is not installed, the AMP plugin is not either.
All my mobile pages are associated to the desktop pages: https://prnt.sc/10g07rc

Everything worked fine on maintenance mode.
This morning my website went live, but as soon as I deactivated the maintenance mode, the mobile pages were no longer applied.

On mobile, only the homepage and the header is displayed according to the mobile page template.
Everything else is using the dekstop template (even the footer, the single page, etc.)
For example, this page is displayed this way: https://prnt.sc/10g07ag when it should be displayed this way: https://prnt.sc/10g093h

I removed the mobile templates & reassociated them. I edited and saved then.
I cleared all caches, I deactivated most plugins but nothing seems to work.
My website is visible here: https://lespotiches.com

As 2/3 of my trafic is on mobile, I need the mobile version to be as nice as possible.
Can you help me?

Thanks

I’ll keep this short.

> I import a Blank Footer Template from the Cloud Templates

> I edit the footer, add a row, a column, etc.

> Save the footer template

If I go back tot the Cloud Templates I am unable to re-edit that footer template using the TagDiv Composer. The option is missing for the footer template. TagDiv composer works for the other imported/modified templates (header, post, category, etc)

A screen recording of the issue can be viewed here: https://streamable.com/jmbdwo

Please let me know what went wrong.

Thank you

P.S. the ticketing system should be private!

Hello,

For our website we are using WordPress 5.6.2 and the Newspaper theme in version 10.3.9.1.
We have built a custom cloud template for the footer. One for german and one for english version of the site.
In the frontend we are selecting these via frontend composer for each language.
This works as long as we are using a custom template for the post detail pages.
However if one of the premade styles is used there is no option for choosing footer template so we can’t use the template depending on the language.
How is the implementation of the diffrent footer templates needed to be done in order to have them translated?

best regards

Hi,

A could/PRO template can be easily edited with our TagDiv Composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ ; For example, an element from your header has a row and a column and by selecting the element’s row or column you will have extra settings to can change the position in your header, color, size, etc. Also if you select the element and not the row of the element, you will have also another settings for editing the element from inside the block. All these are presented in our tutorial provided above. Everybody can adjust the elements with drag and drop how they need, sometimes you need to adjust also the sizes to can fit your element in place.
If you set -200px on the left column, your element will be moved 200px to the left direction. If you set +200px on the left column, the element will move 200px to the right: https://www.screencast.com/t/iwT3ochM
My suggestion is to play with margins. Margin will move the element entirely. Padding will only set a gap between: https://www.screencast.com/t/kLG8VTblvA; https://www.screencast.com/t/aL7eKZngwz
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/
https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
Mobile – Displays content using the Mobile Theme on small screen devices (no AMP)
Mobile+Amp – Displays content using the Mobile Theme on both mobiles and AMP
AMP – Uses the responsive version of the theme on small screen devices and Mobile Theme only on AMP.
How to set the footer for Mobile Theme? If you access Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme then you will find some setting which you can change in Mobile Theme version because The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ ; So, in the end we can see that you can not change the Mobile Theme so much, you can upload a logo but you can not modify it to adjust in place with TagDiv Composer plugin how you can adjust in other cloud templates. If you want to create mobile pages, then you don’t need Mobile Theme installed and you need to assign the templates. Also, if you want a responsive version of your desktop into devices, then you need to deactivate Mobile Theme and the responsive version will display automatically.
Some words from your website for example: Follow us, search you can change it from Theme panel -> Translations, or when you edit the element with TagDiv Composer and there can be a setting with a field and you can change the title.
If you will don’t find a setting to change a color, then the last option is to insert a custom CSS in Theme panel -> Custom code which can change your design from your pages.
I hope it helps!
If I passed a question or an issue you didn’t solve yet, then please provide more details about it to understand what you need to edit exactly and help you efficiently.
If you can’t manage to deal with some settings or issues you can also contact us via email and provide wp-admin and Cpanel access so we can investigate the issue. Let us know and we will gladly assist you.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello !

Indeed the footers are the only templates that cannot be edited directly from Cloud library. In order to edit it go into a page where that footer is set, open with tagdiv composer and scroll to the bottom of your page: https://www.screencast.com/t/JkXredRqd8x

From the website manager you can select the footer, scroll to the bottom and simply edit the template.

Thank you !

Hi
I have an issue with the editor of template that does recognize create templates.

Here is my actions :
Cloud Templates -> Add New
Select a template like “Footer – Arette PRO”
Click on Save template
Redirected to the TagDiv Composer
Click on Save in TagDiv composer
Click on Close
Then when coming back to the Cloud Templates list
The template is here but the menu only offer : Edit | Trash | View | Duplicate and not “Edit with TagDiv Composer”
The choice is however proposed on previous templates created a few hours ago

I tried to copy paste code from a working template to a non working one (tdc_zone block), but even if the code is identical, the editor choice is not present

Could you please tell me what is the change to do to correct the issue ?

Thanks

Hello!

You can create/import a cloud/PRO template, check our documentation explained with images also: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
You can assign it also for header, footer, categories, etc, check this video: https://www.screencast.com/t/1XP5Afpm
To modify a template, you can use also TagDiv Composer which is simple to use because you can see live the changes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Please note that you can use only one builder at the same time, I mean WP Bakery or TagDiv Composer plugin.

Thank you!

I cannot do that with TagDiv Composer. Because the TagDiv Composer is not allowing me to edit with it. All other templates can be edited comfortably with TagDiv composer but not the footer. The only option left is creating a new footer. Is the problem occurring for everyone or I am the only one who is having the issue? Can you please help me with this? Thanks.

Unfortunately, CTRL + Z does not help.
I had a template loaded from the Cloud Templates, but when I decided that I didn’t need a footer, I deleted template for footer and turned off the display of the footer in the Theme panel, here – http://prntscr.com/z3j0e3
And in all the items on the Footer menu, the toogles were switches to the position “Off”.

I tried that, but the only two templates available are the header and the footer.
I need the other pages…
