Hi,
1. That is an author box element, placed in the sidebar. Please go to Appearance->Widgets and customize the sidebar elements the way you want.
The author box will display the profile information of the corresponding user Id entered
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Bx9pxpvpZnZp
This Id can be found in different ways. Please follow this tutorial for more information about this, and also a forum topic
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-find-post-category-tag-comments-or-user-id-in-wordpress/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/author-box-5/
2. All the elements in the footer can be customized as well. The Instagram section can be disabled or customized here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WuUfvAGqTcT
The footer template can be changed in the Footer settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/twMtQVnpoqX
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Some footer templates come with predefined content. This cannot be edited, you can only add content along the existing one. Other templates are blank, and depend on the content you enter in the footer sections.
3. If you activated the mobile theme (which is an optional plugin) then a predefined layout will be displayed for the homepage, post page etc. If you would like to display the same content from desktop on mobile devices, simply deactivate the mobile theme plugin. The theme is fully responsive and will adapt for best results.
More about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
4. If you could provide more details about this it would be very helpful. That way we can better understand what exactly is not working for you with the menu. When the mobile theme is active you will have to set a different menu in the mobile theme section (appears when the plugin is active) of the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/z0SfQG6Bp
Menus on mobile are limited to drop-down menu style, there cannot be mega-menus on mobile.
5. You can edit the homepage with the tagDiv composer and add the content you want. This demo features the Revolution slider on top of the page, and a Latest articles section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
The sidebar can be edited in the widgets section.
If you have a different problem please provide more details about it.
6. As it can be seen in the live demo, there are no sharing buttons near the slider
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_baby/
Maybe those belong to a plugin that you have installed.
7. You could choose a different style for the Social counter
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/social-counter-styles-on-newspaper/
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have my own footer I had to create as none of the footer templates really match my requirements.
I would like to still use the social icons from the footer templates in the standard newspaper theme footers in to my footer. Is there a wordpress short code for the Social icons list or widget?
My test footer is seen here: http://www.jamjosandbox.com/news/contact/
The social media icons you have in the footer templates are perfect so if I can just add them under my FOLLOW US section I’d be in good shape.
Any tips?
Cheers
Colin
Hi,
Those elements are predefined and are displayed when selecting Footer template style 1
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
The Editor picks and Popular posts are created using Block 7
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-7/
The Popular category is a simple widget
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4IaBixDB5
Other footer templates are blank, and require you to add widgets in the respective footer sections
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hIAE4qQAt9u
That is where you can add widgets to the sidebars you have created as well.
Thanks
Hello cbf99,
Here is talking about the footer template. Please notice that our theme has a list with some footer templates which can be used on your website. So, if you want to have your custom footer template, you should use the Footer template 5 and then, from Widgets section you should add your desired content in Footer 1, Footer 2, Footer 3. For more information about our Footer Templates, please check our useful information, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
This content comes with the footer template you select from the theme panel. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hi,
The number of posts displayed on the category page can be changed here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/eeZFNXLmc6j3
Some footer templates like the one you mention, come with predefined content. You can select a different footer template style and add the widget elements you want in the three footer sections
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wD19pyP5
– https://www.screencast.com/t/JWOWlZfMsl
More about the available footer templates here

Buna,
1) Article bottom ad are display:none pe mobile ca setare default: https://www.screencast.com/t/thTtGZuU
Poti reactiva acest ad cu urmatorul cod css:
@media (max-width: 1018px) and (min-width: 768px){
.td-visible-phone {
display: block!important;
}
In viitor vom adauga propriile noastre elemente.
Multumim
Hi Catalin,
Sorry, young DIY here :). I tried, but somehow it didn’t work.
As my default post template is “default” http://www.screencast.com/t/WVqhl8xyADA, I opened loop-single.php in /wp-content/themes/Newsmag.
I found the code line http://www.screencast.com/t/dIlv0ivnQmo, now can you let me know where I shall paste it ?
Here is the full code:
<?php
/**
* The single post loop Default template

if (have_posts()) {
the_post();
$td_mod_single = new td_module_single($post);
?>
<article id=”post-<?php echo $td_mod_single->post->ID;?>” class=”<?php echo join(‘ ‘, get_post_class());?>” <?php echo $td_mod_single->get_item_scope();?>>
<div class=”td-post-header td-pb-padding-side”>
<?php echo td_page_generator::get_single_breadcrumbs($td_mod_single->title); ?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_category(); ?>
<header>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_title();?>
<?php if (!empty($td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_subtitle’])) { ?>
<p class=”td-post-sub-title”><?php echo $td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_subtitle’];?></p>

</header>
</div>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing_top();?>

Hi,
That would require quite a bit of work. The header has the option to stretch it’s content to full width
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cKbxMbctA7Y
So you could achieve something similar to that – https://www.screencast.com/t/9CGVdaGaXQW
Here you can see the available header templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Further styling can be made using the theme options.
The footer can be disabled in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8bM7floiga6L
As well as the top bar above the header
– https://www.screencast.com/t/l5lbALT0
Then you can start creating your page in Visual composer using the available elements. The rows have the option to stretch to full – https://www.screencast.com/t/ikT7LZWT
And also to use a parallax image – https://www.screencast.com/t/Ho8FCuhoQm2v or even a video background.
Hopefully this will get you started in your project and you can manage to create the design you want.
Thanks
Hi,
If this custom field can be implemented through a widget, it can be possible this way. You just have to select an empty footer template for example – https://www.screencast.com/t/6ZBbaZDegiP and use the widgets section to insert this subscription widget in the footer – https://www.screencast.com/t/HqdOCSOE4y.
If it provides a code you can try entering it in a html text widget and see if it works that way
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fnE5Mdfu
Anything else would require modifying the footer templates and inserting the code directly in the theme
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2APVq25r5x
Thanks
Hello,
Sorry but none of these can be done without modifying the php files. If you want to alter the functionality of an element, that is created through php code. If there is no setting for it, then it can only be made custom and that means altering the theme files.
There is a setting present to limit the shown categories though: https://www.screencast.com/t/iFwzMGk1 but it only works if you add the element to the footer widgets and not use the predefined content of the footer templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hi,
What I meant to say was that the mobile theme is using it’s own predefined template for the elements displayed, including the footer section. There will always be the same footer displayed, regardless of what you have on desktop, where you can customize the footer content or have predefined content in some footer templates. This is meant to make the mobile theme as light as possible and with good performance.
Please try this code to hide that text, just enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom Css
.td-footer-description .block-title {
display: none;
}
Thanks
Hello abhisheikhs,
Please keep in mind that the Footer Style 1 is a default footer template which comes by default with these custom blocks. If you want to have more popular categories, you should customize is from the panel, Widgets section. In Footer 1,2,3 you can add any block you want and then it should be customized by any categories you want to be displayed. For more information about our Footer Templates, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi. Well i don’t think this is the best approach to solving this issue, because when I bought the theme, there was mobile theme included with it, so I assume it supposed to work properly with all footer templates.
This is how it looks with footer template Style 2 on mobile theme: https://ibb.co/e19fd5
There is only the logo, no popular categories and no popular articles. The text under the footer logo means ABOUT US. And it is the ABOUT US string from translations page.
1) This string does NOT appear on desktop version, so I assume this STyle 2 should not show this string in a mobile theme version either.
2) I switched to Style 1, and now I can see the same string on desktop as well, but no text – the text is added at FOOTER TEXT field.
I think this should be somehow merged together, or so, as there is no point of including the string ABOUT US if there is no text in FOOTER TEXT field. Just an idea.
Could you please provide a solution of removing this from mobile theme? Thanks!
Also I think I will open another topic about the problem with Cache and mobile phone theme, as it keeps changing to desktop version for some reason… I like consistency 🙂
Cheers

Hello,
my domain name is http://www.khabribabu.com/
I have set style2 for “FOOTER TEMPLATES” under theme panel.
1 column consists of logo, text description and social icons
2 column consists of Block7 for 3 latest posts
3 column should consists of 6 popular post category
as default footer shown over here https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ has it’s own popular categories
I need some other custom categories
Hello,
The first 2 footer styles come with predefined content that cannot be changed. This is mentioned in our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
You can add your own widgets in the footer as the documentation suggests.
Thank you!
Thanks for quick reply.
1 and 2 fixed. I’ll try the 4th point
3rd point I am using a standard Category widget.
Can you help me with the footer as well?
5. I need my footer to have 4 columns, but in the templates there were only with 3.
I need to move my highlighted sitemap to the left and my logos to convert to horizontal each logo in one column and move the about us text (only text) under the logos.
https://snag.gy/agwC8r.jpg
6. How to move the sub-footer text to center?

Hello,
the footer content is a predefined content that comes with the footer template you use. The first 2 footer templates have this content. the others need you to add them in the 3 footer widgets in the wordpress widgets area. This is explained better here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
e.g.,
[ Version 7.8.1 ]
– improvement: we updated Visual Composer to the latest version.
– improvement: tagDiv Social Counter was updated to the latest version, this fixes the issue with Facebook
[ Version 7.8 ]
– new: Huge improvement with the spacing of elements and the grid. We compleatly rewrote the grid system to allow easier full width rows and headers. Expect more full width options soon 🙂
– new: clear cache debug button for video playlists
– new: speed booster plugin version. Please update it if you use it.
– new: pinterest block and widget. Show your pinterest boards in style with this new block. Please note that this block is in testing phase.
– new: the main menu of the theme was redesigned from scratch
– new: Added a lot of options for colors on menu
– header and footer full width support
– improvement: better plugin descriptions and help text
– improvement: all big grids now show a nice error message when they don’t fit in the layout of the site. (when used on one column or two)
– fix: added various missing translations to the translation panel
– fix: some block templates where not able to change color on firefox due to a scoped style
– fix: we removed the offset from ajax requests, this provides a better user experience with the theme and the filters
– fix: the global modal window now ignores pictures with external links. Before this update, the modal windows was trying to open the external link
– fix: the jetpack sorting method on blocks now works as expected again
– fix: block header 17 on social counter now works as expected
– fix: instagram images aligment issues
– fix: post template 1 featured image sizing bug
– fix: all embeds that overflow content on small screens are now fixed
– fix: repaint in Chrome browser on blocks that use Load More
– fix: mobile theme now works with revolution slider as expected
Hello screengeek,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the footer template style 1 which uses a block 7 to display the “Even More News” and a block Popular Category which display the popular categories. If you want to remove something like this from there, you should edit the theme core files and edit here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/227eerO3RUq Also, you can use the footer template style 5 and customize it as you want, using which blocks you want. For more information about footer templates, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
Thanks for your understanding!
Yes it does, If you read my post it tells you to select a Style….
The style is what enables the More News thing and also the popular categories..
Select the second one under footer templates…… It even shows a little example of a picture of what it does etc. you literally can’t miss it.
If this doesn’t help wait for TagDiv on Monday to answer your Q

Hi,
The social networks displayed in the footer are related to the fields that have a coresponding link inserted in theme – https://www.screencast.com/t/7A8KFkDPllhc if that is what you want to know.
Not all footer templates come with predefined content, some are blank – https://www.screencast.com/t/2qwYLSHZk6 and you can insert any of the available widgets in them – https://www.screencast.com/t/MAYbEFsyzL
These footer templates can be found here – https://www.screencast.com/t/DZrrcuaaA0x if you would like to add custom content to them or modify the existing ones.
Please correct me if I misunderstand your question.
Thanks
Hello leapdsc,
Please keep in mind that the maximum columns for footer section are 3. Notice that our theme has a lot of footer styles which are available in Theme panel. If you want to customize it by your desire, you should choose the Footer Style 5 and added there what elements you want. For more information about Footer section, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi there,
I updated to version 7.8 today and everything went smoothly. We use a child theme so the customizations were intact, except one thing. The header and footer are fully stretched as per the new feature in this version, but the main content, i.e. on the homepage and the single post pages, is aligned left.
I tried all options under templates > force full width. Only the header and footer are affected but the main content remains same.
Is there a way to avoid stretching all 3 of these elements i.e. header, main content, and footer? I’d be fine if you could give me a solution to the content being aligned left. How can center-align it? Or maybe stretch it out?
URL: https://www.technorms.com
Also as you may observe the arrows on the menu and the search Icon and the social icons in the footer appear as boxes, what may be causing this and how to resolve it?
Let me know, please.
Hello,
The footer predefined content is part of the footer template you choose. If you want to remove the footer content you will have to change the footer style to an empty one from the theme panel: https://www.screencast.com/t/0CGv3f1M
Please also read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
