Hi,
The latest theme package contains patch 8.7-8.7.2 not from 8.6 theme version. If you wan to update by patch from version 8.6, you would need first to apply patch 8.6-8.7 and then the patch from the latest theme package. Or try the other update methods, WordPress or FTP.
Update the plugins as well and there should be no problem anymore. Let us know if you have issues after updating.
Thanks
Hello all,
Ensure that the theme update should have been correct via FTP way, clear all the caches, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
There is a changelog which you can see either in the themeforest page or the changelog included in the theme package. There were improvements made mainly for the tagDiv composer and AMP plugin fixes.
The tagDiv AMP plugin should not provide any validation errors now. Note that this plugin is only at it’s beginning, in the future it will receive more features.
@Alastair Dixon Please deactivate and remove the composer, then install it again. If there is still a problem please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information and FTP access. We will take a look.
Hello rayarasmussen,
You should install the theme via FTP to another subdomain from scratch, only with tested plugins, remove all of untested if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Ensure that you have correctly followed all the steps from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Notice that the latest version of the theme has been fully tested before launching it and should works as expected.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello frankcf,
Make sure that your update has been made via FTP way because this is the surest method, in this case, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Ensure that your plugins are updated with the version that comes bundled with the theme core files.
Thanks for your understanding!
I have done the update to 8.7.2 via FTP, because envato own management system plugin does not work. After the update, everything seems to run as usual. However, the banner in the header area has now been reduced from 728×90 to 728×45. How can I change that again so that the banner size 728×90 is displayed again?
Hello arabdebate,
I have checked your website and I saw that you an error in the console like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lUIAUcoSzW Please make a new fresh install via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
You can update normally, there will not be any problem
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
By FTP would be the most recommended method. Remember as always to make a backup of the website before anything. Also update the theme plugins.
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Simply by being active the tagDiv composer could cause issues to pages built with Visual composer, containing Visual composer elements. So you could disable the tagDiv composer for the moment and there will be no problem.
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only
– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&t=287s
Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) is still provided in the theme package and updates are included along with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
Hello CoT5,
I have tested on my side and this functionality should works as expected. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should reinstall the theme via FTP way to another subdomain for testing and check the functionality.
Thanks for your understanding!
I needed to delete WordPress itself because of all that. And when started via FTP, suddenly “Newspaper” folder can be seen together with wp-content on delete part. Before that wp-content folder was gone like it’s deleted. This is serious people! Please answer why that happened.
I mean come on! When theme is uploaded via FTP, whole wp-content directory vanished and even some server config is reverted to default. What happened?
All CSS codes you put in the custom CSS section will be saved in the database. So even if you delete and upload the theme via FTP, everything should work as it should.
I have installed the Envato Market, just like the instructions on the site of tagdiv.
Configure the plugin, and all lights green.
When i tried to update the theme via the Envato Market, nothing happens. I know i can do this through FTP, but i’ll lost all configurations that i have made from the original theme.
Can anyone give me some help.
same here… cannot update theme (tried envato market plugin and ftp)
Hello chintakdholakia,
Try to update the whole theme via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks.
Hello onepiecemaster,
Please download the latest version of it from Theme Forest and install it via FTP way according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/, clear all the caches, remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.
Thanks.
Hello ReyhanAF,
Sorry but most likely, these errors happen due to a ba theme installing. I suggest you make a new fresh install from scratch to another sub-domain for testing via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, clear all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Everything should works as expected.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
First thing that you should do is to make a full backup of the website, just to be safe and also have something to return to in case of issues, this is an update guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most recommended update method would be by FTP. Update the theme plugins as well (deactivate and remove, then reinstall from latest theme package).
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here

There are currently some issues with the latest version of the theme, these happen only in certain circumstances. A theme update is scheduled as soon as possible (certainly this week). So you could consider waiting for theme version 8.7.2 to be released before updating.
Thank you!
Hi,
That method sometimes works others not, it is not reliable based on user feedback. The best methods remain either WordPress update, or the highly recommended and most used FTP method. So try to use one of these two methods for the best results.
Thank you!
Hi Simion.
I don’t have any other plugins active, only the recommended (uploaded via FTP to the site and activated before enabling the theme.
I’m sending you credentials via e-mail, for you to have a look.
Thank you.
Hi,
So the error is displayed as you activate the theme. I would suggest to deactivate all plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Then try again. The theme and plugins should work as long as these requirements are met
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If you still have a problem, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and FTP access. We will take a look. Also include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hello munvik,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at it. Provide there the full FTP access for further investigations.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello irfan.id,
Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to turn off the Google Fonts for your website, sorry! We do not have any bad reports in this case and also, we cannot recreate this error. Make a new fresh install via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
First please check the theme system status
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. Check if the issue is solved. Additionally try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins, to see if this has any effect.
If there is still an issue after trying these suggestions, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information and FTP access as well. We will take a look.
Thank you!
Hello Fabio Russo,
Sorry! This functionality should works as expected because it’s tested with the theme and it seems to works good. Remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. If you cannot accomplish this, try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Otherwise, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
