Regenerating thumbnails and deactivating plugins does not solve the issue of blurry thumbnails. The images in the posts are very clear – something happens with the display on the thumbnails – you can see my staging site here:
http://b71.778.myftpupload.com/ – I need the site to be live, but can’t do it with this blurry thumbnails.
This is common issue: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/blurry+images+in+thumbnails/
Are you guys at Envato fixing this or what?
Hello,
This problem might happen due to your untested plugins. Try to disable all of these, clear all the caches and check the results. It seems to be a js error, caused by these case. If the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch to another sub-domain via FTP way and check the results. Also, make sure that your system status is right increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for the message!
Hello nexionly,
Do you have updated all the plugins and use only of them which come bundled with the theme core files? Make sure that you have full update your theme via FTP way in order to achieve good results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello Sportguide,
Try to make a new clean install to another sub-domain from scratch via FTP way. Do you have tried this? The theme is fully tested and should work as expected. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and WordPress. You should provide some useful screenshots with the problem so we can identify it.
In the worst case, if you can not solve anything, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Hello brianjcameron,
Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method, in this case, clear all the caches and check the results. We do not have any bad reports in this case. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results.

Hi,
You will find it by the path mentioned by Bogdan
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xhYavtycTYgU
Use your FTP client to access the theme folder, follow the path, edit the file as shown and save it.
Thanks
Hello tomnyson,
Make sure that you are using the right child theme version which comes bundled with the latest theme’s packet from Theme Forest. Also, make sure that your theme installing was made via FTP because this is the surest method in this case.
Thanks for the message!
In 8.5 and 8.5.1 the Theme panel throws an error Class 'tds_api' not found when a child theme is in use.
I downloaded the latest version from Themeforest and updated everything via FTP.
Any guidance?
Hello Catalin
I installed the theme Newspaper and Visual Composer today new, but it didn’t have an effect positiv. But I realized that the php-datas were a little bit smaller then the ones I had on the computer. I was told to load datas per FTP with binary. I did so and replaced the smaller datas, I think I changed all of them. Eventhough I changed all the smaller datas now with the original size, it did not change. There has been no positiv effect on doing that.
Hello Roman1012,
Please update the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hello vamsinani24,
?The main reason for the happening of these errors would be your manual theme installing, sorry! We recommend installing the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. I do not know how exactly you install the theme. Please reinstall it via this method, clear all the caches and check the results. This plugin together with the entire theme was fully tested and should work as expected. Also, please notice that kind of error is not theme related…it’s just server related. Please check here -> https://www.lifewire.com/500-internal-server-error-explained-2622938
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Yes, after further investigations there was an issue with the mobile theme and child theme functionality in version 8.5. However these issues were quickly fixed in theme version 8.5.1.
Please reinstall the theme using the latest version, by FTP is usually the most recommended method to update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then make sure that the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugins are active.
Also check the theme system status section section, ask your hosting provider to make modifications if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Everything should work properly. Let us know if you still have problems.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check these parameters in the theme system status and see if they are set properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can ask your hosting provider to make modifications to them if it is required. Then try again to install the theme. Usually the FTP method is the most recomended
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Follow the steps for this method as they are described and there should be no issue. Let us know if there still is a problem.
Thanks
Hi,
Please try and reinstall the latest theme version by FTP

Hello,
I suggest you download again the latest version of the theme from Theme Forest and install it via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Notice that plugin has been fully tested with the theme and should work without any problems. You have to do this again, clear all the caches and if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and also, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these, leave just to active only the required plugins which come bundled with the theme and check the results.

Hello brent,
Ensure that you are using the right version of the child theme. To be sure, try to download the latest theme packet from Theme Forest and install it again via FTP way.

Hello José Roberto Monteiro Faria,
Most likely, this error happens due to a bad theme installation. I recommend you to download again the latest theme version from Envato Market, Theme Forest and install it via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

Let us know the results.

I have downloaded the upgrade, but I haven’t ftp’d it yet since it doesn’t work through WordPress. I have a customized 8.0 child theme, and I really don’t want to have to do all of that work again! My site is running smoothly, but I want to take advantage of the features of 8.5. I’m not quite sure what to do next.
Hosting: godaddy
Issue: updating Newspaper 8.1 to 8.5
Error messages are given using both methods of upload.
FTP and VIA Upload new theme page on the WordPress admin page
The upload aborts once it reaches the following instance:
An error is given td_module_mx12.php
All the following files after this are aborted and thus no upgrade.
I got into habit of doing it this way years ago (have been using WP for 12 years, 13?) … and I do a full FTP site backup prior to any updates/upgrades. Of course I have custom stuff in the functions file, and hacks to remove the Google Fonts and use native fonts, so I kinda have no choice there. But by doing a full backup via FTP, then upload new stuff, it ensures clean upgrade, and a way to ‘roll back’ if something wonky.
Your mileage may vary, as the saying goes, but that’s what I do out of paranoia. 🙂
Generally you delete the old folder, and upload new one; not merge them via FTP. Then you’d likely need to clear cache in web browser, and possibly clear transients in WP using something like WP-Optimize plugin.
You may have to manually install plugins from the /zip > allfiles/plugins
Works for me.
Hello,
After your technical support sent me an email to help me with updating my theme, I followed the instructions as given, went to your documentation and after backing up the theme to my pc, I copied and overwrote the theme with the latest version I downloaded today from Envato.
I flushed out my browser cache and logged in. On the Dashboard it still says v8.0
Furthermore the plugin for the landing pages is not in the plugin list.
Can someone help me out please?
Thanks a lot. 🙂
Hello JohanBk,
Send us an email with your credentials and full FTP access to contact@tagdiv.com. Before these, you have to make a full backup to your database because we will disable all of your untested plugins for deeper investigations.
Thanks.
