Hi
Try to login on the server via ftp, navigate to your-wp-install/wp-content/themes and delete Newspaper folder. After this step is completed you can try to upload Newspaer.zip file in your wordpress or directly upload Newspaper folder via ftp. Please check our documentation for more detail about the update process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Hi
You don’t need a child theme if you don’t plan to customize theme’s features. If you’re saying that you don’t have experience with codeing there is o need to use a child theme.
With regard at installation you can generate a zip file then upload it in wordpress or you can upload directly Newspaper-child folder on the server via ftp in: your-wp-install/wp-content/themes.
Thanks!
Hello manjeetsehgal,
If you are using a playlist at your homepage, please ensure that you have enabled the multibyte module. Please contact your host and make sure that PHP multibyte module is installed and activated – http://php.net/manual/en/mbstring.installation.php
Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Check your system status and if all of the parameters are not higher increased, you will have to increase them to the higher value, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Further, if the problem persists, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and FTP access so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Please provide the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.
Let us know how it goes!

Hi
@fpavic I’ve checked your site and I’ve noticed that you’re using cache for front-end content. This helps a lot when the page is prepared and the response time is lower.
With the back-end things can be more complicated. If you have lots of posts the response from database can be slower so you can try to optimize it first. Check this link for more details in this regard: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/query-cache.html – http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-clean-up-your-wordpress-database-for-improved-performance/
You can also make a test with a default wp-theme and check how it goes.
Let us know how it goers and if you still have this issue please address via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we ca have a closer look in your wp-install and maybe we can help.
Thanks!
Hello olgate,
The settings from Sign-in/Log-in are placed here -> http://screencast.com/t/xeFCoYqx If you cannot see them, please try to make a new fresh install via FTP with the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4). Perhaps, you will have encountered some issues when you have updated/installed the theme and that’s why you do not have this option.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Issue with your server setup and caching.
Always best to do updates via FTP, as you can “see” folder deleted, and new folder uploading; upload new plugins, and make backups of critical files at same time in case of server crash/retirement.
Update via FTP; best way.
Issue with your WordPress setup.
Best way to update theme is to
a) via FTP delete old theme folder (keeping backup if you made changes to core files, of course)
b) unzip theme folder from themeforest on your hard drive, upload to theme folder via ftp
c) upload the plugins to the plugins folder
Hey Bogdan,
I am facing some issues with my SFTP login. As soon as I get access to it , I will quickly check your modified code .
Thank you very much 🙂
Hello manjeetsehgal,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have some js errors to the console. Most likely, all of those appear due bad theme installation. Please try to re-install your theme, remove the actual and install it again via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, please install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. For more information about theme installing, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
We always recommend updating via ftp as it;s the safest method. WordPress can fail on multiple occasions. Please use this guide to update and choose the ftp method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
A theme update will also fix the author name on mobiles for the mobile theme.
Thank you!
Thanks for your reply i will try it, but i want to know my blocks and customization will be deleted after update by ftp ??
Thanks Catalin,
from my side, I uninstalled the theme, used FTP to upload the theme, installed the latest mobile plugin but the error is still there:
Note the error came only on Homepage, other pages are OK.
here is the error that came after the latest articles module at homepage:
wp booster error:
td_api_base: mark_used_on_page: a comment
with ID: td_remore_cache is not set
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
Hope this will help.
Meanwhile the august mobile plugin version is working fine as you can see on my site http://www.midronepro.com
Regards,
