Hi,
I have the full licensed version of NewsMag and I just re-upped on paid support. I have the latest version of NewsMag and I’m also running the newest version of WordPress. Visual composer recently stopped working on my website and now hangs every time I try to load my homepage on my wordpress admin dashboard.
If I create a new page and I have to use visual composer, it won’t let me manually add text or items. But the catch is Visual Composer hangs and won’t let me add anything either. If I click “add element”, it will open the window showing all the elements, but if I click on any of the elements nothing will happen. It also won’t let me get to the visual/text tabs like on the “posts”, so I can’t create a new page without using Visual Composer. Which again, hangs and doesn’t let me add anything. This is a new development I’ve only noticed recently (I don’t often update my homepage).
Sorry in advance but I did not buy a separate license for visual composer, I’m using the version that came with NewsMag, so I don’t qualify for support there. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
The big slide on my homepage at http://themedium.ca is currently not working. In all major browsers, including mobile, you can see a little of the next panel of 4 images appears below the first panel, and the arrows / sliding between panels do not work or respond. I’m also seeing a console error with tagdiv_theme.js. I’ve already tried turning off a few likely plugins, including caching and my plugin that uses the TD API (yes, this occurs with the regular Big Grid Slide block as well). Please help!
I have a section on my homepage that I am trying to pull in the latest content on a certain section and It pulls up 7, but not the last two that are correctly marked with the correct category, but the latest 2 are pulling up. I have no idea how to fix this. Any thoughts?

Ok, so how can i chose to have multiple categories grid with posts on my homepage with latest posts? I see this is possible on your demos… i want to create a homepage (with latest posts) similar to your demos…

I would really like to use up the white space on the right in my posts/pages as advert space. I have noticed that there is no such function in the widgets tab — just a sidebar function for the homepage.
Also, is there a way to keep track of one’s ads, such as a type of analytics to see how many views/clicks it has?

In theme panel, it says photos should be “640×0”. What’s the meaning of “0”. I prepare the photos on photoshop as 600×400 since 2 years. And There was no problem when these photos used in big grid on homepage… But since I installed new versions, there’s no problem with default pages, but on big grids photos seems blurred.
Another question is,
I use photo galleries (http://alacatiplus.com/konaklama/beyevi-otel/)
I do the photos 600×400 as well… Bu if you click on them, they’re not big enough. Which size should I use for those problems?

If you have the latest version of the theme and the latest version of the visual composer plugin ,there should not be any issues. We have no such reports yet. I have inspected your site and the homepage is intact. The slider is present and working.
Maybe there is a plugin that you use that is no longer compatible with the latest version of the theme. This can happen as code gets changed and plugins can no longer recognize it. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Please provide more details to the exploits you found. What tool did you use to scan so we can investigate this and see if there really is an exploit. (“tools” are usually not very accurate)

A month ago, we updated the wordpress and the theme
Almost everything went well, except the visual composer
The colored icon redirects to vc.wpbakery.com, to buy the page builder plugin.
So we use Classic Mode only to modify articles in the main slider.
Now we tried to update to the last version of the theme
And the homepage slider dissapears
Also, we encountered some security issues
After a scan, we discoverd exploits in the following plugins:
– wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/footer88.php
– wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-get-customcss.php
– wp-content/plugins/td-social-counter/widget/cache.php
– wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/formatter/class-metabox-formatter.php

If you choose to have a blog homepage, meaning you selected the latest posts in the WP settings, then you do not have access to visual composer on that page. You can only choose the layout settings from here: http://screencast.com/t/TZtEJaz4F6z
You can only use visual composer on static pages, not on the blog page.

In order to change the homepage, you have to edit it in the back-end. Please access the pages section and press the edit button on the page that has the word -front page after it. Once you access the homepage back-end you will see the 3 single image banners like so: http://screencast.com/t/eWa7h3SqN you can change the images or replace the element with another one if you want.

There are a lot of different ways you can avoid duplication on your homepage. You can chose different categories fort blocks, different sorting options, you can use offsets or you can use the unique articles option: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/

Everything was fine until we updated Visual Composer to new version. Now the sidebar is not working on the homepage.

For the Homepage, I have used Visual Composer. I have a 2/3+1/3 layout with a Block 11 and Widgetized Sidebar.
Any ideas what has gone wrong?

In order to make the homepage a static page first, you need to create a new page then set it as a home page in wp settings: http://screencast.com/t/rjP1jeSN
You can customize your pages in visual composer. This is done on the page edit screen by pressing the back-end editor. You can add blocks to your site that way and the block settings will pop-up once you place a block on your page. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

Hello,
The name of the homepage will be gone if you set it as a home page in wordpress. If you leave it as a simple page, then the name of the page will become the permalink depending on the permalink structure you chose from the wp settings: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

You added an ad-box on your homepage using Visual Composer and there is selected the header and to be displayed: http://screencast.com/t/EwLUF3uI9u9S To remove that ad edit the homepage and delete the ad-box. First I would like to say thank you for uploading this great theme.
I hope you can help me. I choose for the travel guides and ideas theme. I use the demo with content. Now I see a image on the homepage (see http://www.littleapple.nl for the image). I search and by the index I can change the image (10, 11, 12 etc). Only on which place are these images hiding? Off course I see the images in the library but I know there must be a place where I can upload my own pictures to use. Please help.

Hi!
Just launched the Newspaper theme on NJTechReviews(www.njtechreviews.com). Works great and so far very happy with it, I was wondering if for the homepage under the latest article if that could just be a stream of everything written on the site in the order, so newest first? And then for the grid we have at the top, if I make a post sticky how would I get that to be the first one? And then can review pages show up next to articles in there?
