We have created a page “Homepage” but whenever you choose a visual block composer nothing happens ..

If you want to use a static page as homepage you can customize it using Visual Composer page-builder. Friends,
I’m running version 7.2 of the theme and I installed the latest version of Visual Composer that came bundled with the theme.
The issue I’m having is that my site is only displaying in one column, even though I have setup a 2/3, 1/3 layout on the homepage. I’ve search the forums for similar issues, but I’ve yet to find a fix.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you see on my main homepage, and on my category/posts pages.. i have the social counter widget installed.
But for Facebook it keep saying 0 and for instagram it says 0 as well.
Instagram only has 1 follower, but our facebook has over 12k fans/likes

On the demo there is a bunch of different elements in the mobile homepage. I cannot seem to figure out how to add anything besides the text, and the standard layout (recent articles + 3 article preview). How can I add things like recent posts from specific categories?

I’ve tried your suggestions. I also confirmed that the server requirements are met. In addition, I switched to the main theme (instead of the child one) leaving the theme with its default style.
As my website struggles to stay online using caching, I downloaded it to my development server (no external visits) for more testing and I noticed strange behavior regarding images. I deleted my homepage latest post images only from the filesystem which (as excepted) results in many 404 errors. Then my development server had high CPU usage. I switched to my previous theme and the load is gone. I tried the same experiment when navigating to Admin > Media. When Newspaper was active, I had high CPU load while my browser was trying fetching the deleted files. When switching back to my previous theme, the load was gone and the Media screen loaded instantly. It seems very strange. Browser directly hits Apache requesting static files which normally is the same regardless of the theme used. How this different behavior could be possible when switching themes?

Hi,
Like Bogdan stated above the mobile theme comes with it own templates and the homepage content has a grid which displays featured articles and the latest articles section. There are not other sorting, filtering options in backend and also the offset feature is not available. We will consider it in future theme updates and also more options for mobile grid.

You don’t need to buy or register Visual Composer plugin as it is provided with the theme and you already use it. Bogdan suggested to edit the page(Home) and you can remove the image from there – http://screencast.com/t/8iU5clq0wSs

The mobile theme will convert your smartlist to the default one as there will only be 1 smartlist, 1 post template, 1 homepage layout, 1 header, 1 footer and so on. Please read more about the mobile theme here:https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Your content will be converted for top loading speeds.
If you do not want to use the mobile theme you can simply deactivate the plugin.

There is no oldest to newest default setting in our theme. The default is latest articles.

Yes, if you want the black background, it’s easier to simply use the black demo than to change lots of css to overwrite the white backgrounds.

Hello,
I have a website and I want one of the posts to be featured at the top of my pages. The only problem is, the category I want to filter with the Big Slide only will have 1 post in it at a time. I’ve realized that when there is only 1 post with the big slide it seems to disappear on me. I want to use some black that can feature a post really big, sort of like the homepage post, but one that does extend down the entire page if that makes sense.
While editing a post and refreshing the updated post on the frontend of the site, I noticed that the footer – which I had previously disabled – was showing again. That was odd, but I figured it was a small hiccup.
However, I also noticed that none of the big grids worked anymore (on homepage and on category pages).
It’s almost as if something got reset (and somehow made the big grids stop working).
So, recapping: “Big grid” type of post display stopped working on categories and on the homepage. I was not working with those settings when it broke.
I checked the settings and it looks like everything is set up correctly.
I’ve tried:
– Ensuring unique articles is disabled
– Disabling plugins (despite not working with them when it stopped working)
– Removing all filters from the big grid (just showing posts from all categories, no filters)
– Adding a new big grid with no filters
– Adding a different type of big grid with no filters
– Removing other big grids from the page

2) This css should remove a bit of spacing but keep in mind that css is very specific and it will only apply to the homepage on mobile. If you require other adjustments, you will have to use the browser inspector to figure out how to remove the spacing with css as this is very personal and we cannot provide a general code that can remove the white space everywhere:

6) The problem with the different module under the recipes category is because you only have 4 posts to show in that category .Every category is made out of 2 sections. A big grid and a module. You have a big grid with 3 posts and a module with 1 post. If you add more posts it will populate the module section with more posts. We’ve done that first, but there is no effect. The problem occurs only on video-posts. The generated thumbs are in the wrong sizes and sometimes break also the layout on homepage.
I could provide a login to our backend.

the code works on every page as it only affects the header. Only the first of these pages is set as homepage. the rest are other pages. It works on categories, posts and every other part of the site as the header is the same one.
