Hello !

That is the mobile theme. Please make sure that you have activated the proper thumbs for the mobile theme. The mobile theme requires the β€œ265Γ—198” and the β€œ741Γ—486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.

Thank you !

Hi.
2. How do I upload a retina image for this purpose?
4. The default settings does not fit my needs at all as I run a blog with over a hundred images now. Hence, it is not practical to resize them in order to fit your theme. Additionally, those sizes (in the theme) are not social media friendly. Consequently, the more practical approach will be to change these default settings. How can I alter these default settings as I spoke with your pre-sales staff previously – she mentioned that this is doable.
5. All my images are in 1200x628px, and a multiple of it, e.g. 600x314px. Hence, please guide me on how to alter the theme for my needs.

Appreciate your kind help. Thank you.

Hello !

1. Yes, if all are active, you will have that number of thumbs generated.

2. Retina images are very high quality images. Take 4K for example.

3. Yes, that refers to 150xauto

4. Unfortunately those are the only options available. editing those sizes will require a pretty big amount of custom work.

5. Our recommendation is to work with 1920x1080px images or 800x600px. Depends on your kind of blocks if you edit them to be vertically but 99% will go for the usual full HD 1920x1080px.

Thank you !

After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Hello Support, I will like to check and confirm on the following:
1. Under Theme panel > Block Settings > Thumbs on Modules/Blocks, up to 8 thumbnails will be generated based on the image that I upload each time, right? Of course, this depends on whether I have enabled all 8 settings, right?
2. What is the meaning of retina and how do I upload the right image size for that purpose?
3. Some of the sizes are multiplied by zero, e.g. 150 x 0, does that refer to 150 x 150?
4. I built my entire site based on featured image size of 1200×628, and in that multiples for smaller images, e.g. 600×314. How can I alter the default settings so that such image sizes are generated each time?
5. In addition to Q4, can the theme support such image size altogether, i.e. for main page where I show all my posts, single post, related post. If this is possible, please guide me on how to achieve this.

I have tried searching for guides on your website but I couldn’t find the exact information and confirmation to my needs. Hoping you can help. Thank you.

Thanks Vlad. However, I only found the layout adjustment options on Flex Blocks and not Blocks. Kindly advise how should I resolve the thumbnail image sizes with Blocks (e.g. Block 2, Block 7).

Thank you.

Our Optimization plugin is creating multiple image sizes of the theme; how do we ensure the plugin only use the needed image for theme and post, to avoid multiple images and server disk filling up.

Hi Calin;

Thanks for your response. As mentioned, I’ve already switched the appropriate thumbnail sizes on. The images don’t appear regardless of whether it is MOBILE+AMP or just AMP.

I’ve emailed the site details to you for review. Thank you!

Hi,
The mobile images do not appear because you are using the mobile theme plugin, then you need to enable in theme panel > block settings > thumbs the β€œ265Γ—198” and the β€œ741Γ—486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
Also if you want to have the same version of mobile, you do not need to use the mobile theme plugin, you need to use the responsive version, therefore you need to disable the mobile theme plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/I7efenm.png
Hope this will help you!

Hello,

I have 2 questions:

1) I would like to change my homepage based on the demo “Magazine Pro” (currently still Default Pro) and adapt it accordingly. So far I’ve been very satisfied with Default Pro and the functions, but I find Magazine Pro more appealing.

Unfortunately, I can’t find any documentation about optimal image sizes for previews, contributions or highlights / highlighted posts / featured posts.

2) Since the update, my admin bar shows “Mobile Page / No Mobile Page”, with “Mobile Page” highlighted in black. What’s this? Is there just a mobile page on the desktop?

One more question – same topic… What are the default image sizes for the Image Block? I may need to use images with text in them (like “Download”). Because Newsmag is Responsive, I want to make sure that I can anticipate auto-re-sizing.

Or, even better, can I set “fixed” sizes for the images in Image Block? Thanks

Hi,
I’m trying to find this information in forums and documentation but I haven’t been lucky so far.
As far as I know, optimized images sizes are normally provided by the specific theme.
In this case, I am preparing some photoshop templates files in order to improve the workflow when posting in the future. My question is: which ar optimal sizes if I don’t want images to slow down performance? Is recommendable to install any optimization pluggin also?

Thanks in advance,

MarΓa

If here is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can check this problem.

Hey I have 2 questions.

1. How do I display only the excerpt on my website homepage (and the rest of my site) and not the full article, see link of how it looks now. I donΒ΄t want viewers to see the entire article at once, but only image plus an excerpt.
https://reterraform.com/

My thumbnails look bad. How do I fix this? Do I change the settings somewhere, Or do I resize the images to certain sizes?

I’ve registered a new image size of Post Width with 774×9999 so that it’s always cropped to 774px wide and I don’t care how tall it is.

add_image_size( ‘post-width’, 774, 9999 ); // Unlimited Height Mode

Unfortunately, no matter what additional image sizes I add, the regenerated image sizes always come out with a max 696px wide and it seems to be controlled by the theme as that’s set as the global width. What can I change to allow 774px wide images?
