Do you have the mobile theme activated now? I have inspected your website and it does not seem like it is. Try to install the mobile theme plugin from the downloaded theme package, and deactivate all your other plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and check to see if it is working as intended. if you still failed even you already upload the theme with file .zip correctly, the only way I guess is using FTP method.
yesterday I got that problem but I still haven’t gotten the answer. So, I used FTP Method from this thread -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ .
Pretty hard if you are new at this, same like me at first time. But I tried follow the guide from that thread with carefully and succesfull.

Just bought Newspaper 7 and tried to install it through theme installation and it keeps failing. tried looking through forums. Saw the suggestion to go through FTP, but I’m pretty new at this and can’t seem to work out how to do this. The reason I bought a premium theme was because I was lead to believe that it would be easier, but am starting to doubt this if a simple theme installation is so difficult. Would very much appreciate some help. Thanks

Hi, I have been using my theme on localhost and I uploaded it to server yesterday. I have an issue related mail settings. I’ve installed WP-Mail-Smtp plugin and I set all the settings but when I want to send test mail the error message below comes up. My mail is working I can send and get mail on my mail website.

There was 2 problems:
1/ All elements in widget I created mixed up. I just put all together like before.

Please keep in mind that the loading script button has no negative effect on your web site if you had already installed version 7. You should reset all your settings from theme panel and check the results. I have inspected your website and I noticed that works fine. If you had the latest version installed, the loading script button is hidden. Notice that we recommend that all the time to have your theme updated to bring the best results.

In order to achieve the best results after you will install the latest update you have to follow some rigorous steps like this -> you have to delete both of your themes, child theme, and main theme. All your customizations from your Newspaper 4 theme will do not work because all the files from this were changed in Newspaper 7.8 and as the main theme and also you lose all changes.
The Newspaper 7.8 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 7.8 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 7.8 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.
If you have already Newspaper 6 and you want only to do the update to latest version, you should make this without any problem. All your customization are recorded in the database which is not affected by this update.

Really great to purchase this theme, Newspaper.
My issue is maybe simple if I see the instructions, I always fail while uploading the .zip from theme.
– I already update my wordpress to the latest
– I download Newspaper theme with option ‘Installable WordPress File Only’ which is name ‘themeforest-5489609-newspaper-wordpress-theme’
But when I upload the theme, something happen “WordPress failure Notice” (wp-admin/update.php?action=upload-theme) then the box said “Are you sure want to do this? Try Again”
I dont know where’s my exactly problem is. I already follow the instruction with only upload .zip which is insatllable wordpress.
I hope I get the support to fix my problem now. I cant wait to use this theme

Optimization was made overall but it depends on your install and speed optimization as well as the image you add to your mobile menu (larger images result in slower loading). Another known issue on the menu is firefox. It loads slow over firefox. It is the way firefox handles this type of animations that makes it slower loading.
Try to test it against our demo: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ as in the demo we have not yet updated the theme version.

As for the footer width, please check in Theme panel->Template settings – https://www.screencast.com/t/F1j6b6Ll maybe the footer is set to stretch to full width.

Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
