Hi Team,
I have a Newspaper 7 installed in a WordPress Multisite, everything seems to be fine except the mobile theme plugin. It says “The mobile theme path couldn’t be set…” when I tried to open it in mobile handheld. I have disabled all other plugins as I did not installed any plugins apart from what Newspaper theme recommended at first, such as Visual Composer, Social Counter, and Revolution Slider, but still it won’t work. If I disabled the mobile theme plugin, the site (the responsive version) loaded very fine. Please help.
And also I did not see any registration form, its only a Sign-in form. It says Sign-in/Register, but if I clicked it there was no Sign-up or register form. I have activated the sign-in/join modal in top menu setting. I only saw sign-in and forgot password link in the modal window.

Current version of Newspaper theme if V 7.4 available now on themeforest. In theme’s path is also included V 4.12.1 of Visual Composer. The best way to make a clean update is via FTP method for both theme and plugin. Follow our documentation to update the theme via ftp https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and do the same with Visual Composer plugin. It seems that you have the woocommenrce plugins installed in your wordpress, I am referring at tagDiv woo invoice and tagDiv woo label. These plugins are no longer supported and they generate conflicts with last version of Newsmag. Try to deactivate these plugins, clear all caches then test the site again.

i try many way, i reinstall wordpress ,creat another database , shutdown fireware but cant save setting theme.

If you have newspaper 4, then you will have to delete your current theme and install newspaper 7 from scratch as it will be like switching to a different theme. Today I bought the newsmag theme. But disappointing to note that you have faulty package put up for download which gives error while uploading the theme, message is as you seen below:

when checked the blog for support, saw that so many people are facing the same problem, when you know that so many people are facing the same problem, why is it not rectified?
Need urgent support and solution to the above.

You will have to use the Big Grid in 1/1 layout. If you will change this, the layout will be damaged. If you are using the sidebar for your page with this big Grid, please try to get rid of it, clear all your caches and check the results. If you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with it and rule out any conflicting plugins.

In WordPress 4.6.1 there seem to be a bunch of errors regarding theme install and delete. Please use the ftp method to install our theme until this gets fixed by WP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
FTP is always the better option as it’s the safest

Please try to make a fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and install only the plugins that come bundled with theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. If you have some additional customization which may affect the code, try to delete all of theme and check the results.

I’ve done that and found that the plugin WP Retina 2x is the one causing this problem.
The strange thing is that the same site, the same files, plugins, in a local installation, works perfect.
Should I uninstall WP Retina 2? I think it came with the theme.

When i try to install Newspaper theme i got WordPress failure notice?

I have a fresh install of wordpress on the following development site: http://dbeauregard.yourdevsite.ca/. Fresh install of Newspaper and used the “install demos” to activate the Black Version.
When viewing the site at Desktop sizes, it is oversized, meaning you can see the width scroll bar at the bottom of the browser. This goes away when you reduce the browser size to “mobile screen” sizes. When I deactivate the Instagram section in the footer via the Newspaper options panel, the problem goes away.
I’ve tested this and it happens in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
However your demo site does not show this problem.
Any idea what the issue could be and whether there is a fix?

I have purchased this amazing theme a while ago because I was planning to build a community using Buddypress. However, today I had time to install Buddypress(which is not rocket science) and I discovered that Newspaper is not that compatible with Buddypress.
– It keeps on displaying the default sidebar
(I looked up in the theme panel: Buddypress section, page section and even tried to point out my own sidebar pages individual. I cleaned cache, cloudflare cache and browser cache too)
– Login/Sign up menu option would be useful if it collaborate with Buddypress.

There isn’t a way to download and install it because it says “Not Available” where the “Install now” icon should be …. “This plugin is not allowed on our system due to performance, security or compatibility concerns.”

This is often a permissions issue where the original folder is ‘owned’ by the server (or Apache) and so WP and FTPuser unable to remove. If you upload via FTP it will be “owned” by the FTPuser and can be removed/updated via FTP in future.
Ask your host to “change ownership to FTPuser” on the old folder to fully delete it.
This happens when WP is sometimes installed via hosting panel, vs installed manually.

1) I’m not sure why you say wp super cache is no longer available. You can download it from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/
Nothings has changed
2) It can be a plugin conflict but that is not a theme related error. It is a wordpress file that is mentioned in the error message. The theme is under wp-content/theme/newspaper/ not in wp-includes. Please make sure your wordpress install is up and running before installing the theme.
Plugins can also be a reason for it so test it without plugins by disabling all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

It’s best to use ftp as the latest version of wordpress created this issue where you are not able to delete any theme at all from the admin panel. Please use ftp and delete the theme and install it again using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ (choose the ftp method)

Please disable all your plugins before installing the theme. Access your site via ftp and remove the plugins from the plugins folder of wordpress if you do not have access to the dashboard anymore.
