As we discussed, of course I used WP RESET like Bogdan told me to. I already understood I would lose all my customizations. I just wanted to get the BASIC original Newspaper back and start over after your BUG in Newspaper caused the 404 error. I was planning on doing my Newspaper customizations from scratch. After the WP Reset was dome, I re-installed Newspaper from scratch!!! But I never even got back the actual Newspaper theme…just an empty blog page. So I assumed there is still some problem with the newspaper theme relating to the WordPress database — OR there is a bigger problem with your theme that we thought. If you go to my site you’ll see what I got when I reinstalled your theme (see Bodgan login and password above in this thread).
Please see my previous response a few minutes ago for the rest of my answer.

When replying to a long message thread I believe it is important to have Bogdan reply to me since he will understand the continuing issue. This is your first reply to me and you have misunderstood the entire problem forcing me to write again and kill another day. Just out of concern for your customers perhaps you could read the entire message thread first before replying to a customer so you can understand the context of our conversation. Just my opinion. This is especially important just now…the very absolute LAST reply from you guys that I needed since June 30th, 2 weeks, before I may have to delete my entire installation of WordPress and start from scratch with everything!
What happened is I uninstalled the Newspaper theme which had become corrupted soon after I installed it — giving me 404 errors on every page. SO I deleted Newspaper and reinstalled in. However, I never saw the full theme again…only an empty blog page:

I need to get back the full Newspaper theme, with the entire layout & dummy content, before I do anything else. If that is not possible, then I need to uninstall and re-install WordPress as well as Newspaper from scratch — basically killing weeks of work due to a BUG in Newspaper that corrupted all the Newspaper files — both the PHP and somehow, I think, whatever Newspaper stores in the WordPress database.
But before I do all that I just want a little more clarity with TAGDIV since that will be helpful to both you guys and me! I was hoping for a way to reinstall the Newspaper theme in my existing WordPress, both files and database, without having to reinstall WordPress itself from scratch, and then reinstalling Newspaper from scratch.
Hope this all makes sense and we can resolve this in the next email. Either there is a way for me to fix my current Newspaper theme — or — I need to go ahead and uninstall everything, the theme AND WordPress, and start over, destroying weeks of work. Please let me know what you think.

I have checked your website and I saw that you website does not use the latest version of the theme 7.2 Your actual version is 6.3.2 -> http://screencast.com/t/5J3LzMZNDxo. Please try to update your theme only through FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ After this, please try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Please notice that you should can to add a page to the normal website if you are using the mobile theme. Below, I meant just to the mobile mode. Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Do you use the background color feature? I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash when you enter on your website…firstly is loaded a style and then will appear another style, right? This behaviour appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS are working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and check the results.
Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches.

I want to add a new page to my WordPress site with Newspaper theme.
I’m using the Backend editor and when clicking a layout to use, the Visual Composer icon turns into a “wheel” and never stops spinning.
I cannot add any layouts or elemnts for my page.
Editing old pages with Visual Composer is also not working anymore!!
Wordpress installed localy on a hosted server, worked some days ago.

Theme database version: 7.2
Theme aurora version: 1.1
Visual Composer: 4.6
I was waiting to install the demo until I got the basic Newspaper template working right. The basic template I first installed looked like this:

Now I have nothing at all in the basic Newspaper template…that is not right! I do NOT want to install a demo theme on top of something that is not working properly to begin with. If you go to my site and look at the Newspaper theme, none of what I see on your sight for the basic theme is there. NONE. I want to get back the original Newspaper theme before I start doing anything else, like adding a demo. If that is not possible, then I just need to re-install WordPress from scratch. Aaargh!!!

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme -> Newspaper 7.1 and also, the latest version of the required plugins ->Social Counter 4.1 and Visual Composer 4.12. Try to clear all your plugins, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
If your problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch and install only the theme with the required plugins and check the results.

I have tested on my side the News Ticker block and everything seems to work as properly. Please ensure that your issue does not come from your conflicting plugins. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the eventual conflict.

Yes you can purchase Newsmag theme and use it instead of Newspaper. After you switch from Newspaper to Newsmag you have to regenerate your thumbnails and also make sure that you remove from pages all blocks that are not present in Newsmag theme.
Before makeing any changes make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and to the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

I have an odd problem – today I bought and installed the theme (from a demo), and some pages were not updating with the new theme. I figured maybe it was my browser cache but after clearing it, it did not change. I went so far as to put CloudFlare into Development Mode and then pausing it, as well as removing the Leverage Browser Caching code from my .htaccess file to no avail.
Some posts have updated, but the majority are still stuck on the old theme and I’m not sure what else to do at this point.

Would anyone know how to help? I cannot even access wp-admin … It still looks okay on my phone browser, but even when I use Safari or a browser generator it appears broken. I also just installed the “WP To Twitter” plugin right before doing this.

In desktop mode you will see all the buttons have been translated to Spanish via the theme translation panel. We have installed the tagdiv mobile plugin, but if you access the same site on mobile you will see that it seems to be using the default english buttons etc.
Is this a bug?

This happens because you have the mobile theme plugin installed. This is a new mobile theme plugins we created to improve loading speeds for mobile users. Please read this guide to learn about how the mobile theme works: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you do not like the mobile theme you can simply disable the plugin and your mobile version will be the standard responsive version of the desktop theme.

Unfortunately we cannot say for sure if the implementation you use is compatible with the theme or not. We only recommend our own Instagram widget: https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/
If your implementation worked before, try to identify what was changed since then. Maybe a plugin you installed, an update you made (automatic updates are the worst as it could have been a plugin update that caused this but if your updates were set to automatic, then it;s hard to figure out which one broke it)
The best thing to do is disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the Instagram feed again. Unfortunately if the problem is still there, I won’t be able to help as I have no idea of how you implemented the feed in the first place and customization is not part of the theme support unfortunately.

The activation from visual composer can be ignored as the plugin is a free version and cannot be registered as we cannot provide as there is no registration code for the free version. We mention this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You can try one more thing before scratching everything and starting over. Try to rest your database with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-reset/
It will however delete any posts/pages or content, but reinstalling everything from scratch will have the same effect so it;s worth a shot.

2)I have tested on my side the Twitter sharing button and everything seems to work as properly. Please try to do this from our demo and check the results. It is possible that your untested plugins to affect the theme and cause a lot of unknown issues.
So, if is not what you mean, please provide your website URL and also some useful screenshots so I can understand what you want to achieve.
