I tested the TinyMC plugin and it works and displays properly. Please check other plugins you might have installed because sometimes they can interfere with one another. Disable all of them except visual composer and TinyMC.

I installed Swiftype for new search results, and it works fine except on the search from the top menu – it gives me 2 drop down search suggestion boxes. I need to get rid of the default one. Can you please let me know how to disable it.

If you properly install the theme (see docs right side of page), you will see the theme admin panel with settings for page templates, general settings (logos, etc.), fonts, etc.
Hi. I want to use as Visual Editor or better said Text Editor TinyMC. Plugin is installed but nothing shows up in editor window when creating a page or an article. There are just the lines we see here while editing this message.

The speed booster was tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that they add many plugins and some of the them are not written fine so the developer took this decision.
If you want to always enable speed booster, delete this code from speed booster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh

It is similar procedure like update the theme via ftp, but instead just upload the Visual Composer in the plugins folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Please let me know how it goes and provide more details how you tried to update. Do you get the same error like above?

@meh6927 Please check this guide how to update to the version 6 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ make sure that you make a full backup before and do this without any plugins active. After you updated the theme please run the script to rename shortcodes, import old settings. All your custom sidebars must be imported as well, but unfortunately you will have to add again the widgets to them as they become inactive or doesn’t exist anymore.
Please note that the Newspaper 6 should be regarded as a new theme, so you need to update also the child theme as the old customizations(files, css) will not work in this version and you need to adjust and re-add them. I believe the problem is in the settings when upgrading from earlier versions. A clean install works but I cannot do undo the install unless they specify where their tables and fields landed in my DB….
I’m screwed, the only option is to give ftp access, which I am working on…
It is the strangest thing. When the Visual Composer plugin is activated, I cannot access the “Media Library” when disabled, it works perfectly. I removed it completely and reinstall it and it’s still not working.

I’m building a site using Newspaper at the moment, and I’m trying to embed a Tableau dashboard in one of the pages.
This is the dashboard I’m trying to embed: https://public.tableau.com/profile/cogdiss#!/vizhome/LondonInStereoListings/Dashboard1 and I’m using the code it gives me at the bottom.
I’ve tried it in both the standard WordPress edit pane, and within a text module in the visual composer, but it’s not displaying. I can see a white screen where it should be, but the content isn’t there.

I’m using the latest version of WordPress, and the latest version of Newspaper with a child theme installed (the one which comes with the theme). The only plugins I have installed right now are Visual Composer, Updraft, Revive Old Post and Limit Login Attempts.
Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Let’s keep in mind it happened when updating 4.5d to 6.4 using the script too. this did not happen with a clean install. So there is some old stuff in the DB that is stopping the query.
I don’t understand it all, and this 7? at the end of newspaper.woff is puzzling…
any other ideas? please?
