Hi! Tried twice to update a client´s pages from 7 to 8.5. On both cases part of the content on the front page was replaced with error codes. Tried to install the Tagdiv add-ons, it was not possible due to “missing URL”. Are you going to publish any patches for the new version any time soon? My client is pretty annoyed already, and I won´t try updating again with this version.
Thanks Simon for your assistance. After a lot of trials, I was able to solve”The Current Content Page hasn’t been created by tag div composer” problem. In my case, it seems to be coming from the SSL certificate that Inmotion support team installed. The problem started after I secured the wp-admin login.
Tag Div Composer started working when I set the website to https from the WordPress general settings.
However, I had already updated the Newspaper theme from version 8.1 to 8.6 and the issue was solved without changing to https.
I was pissed off by several things in the new theme version. Starting from the minor – the weather app now requires API key. That wasn’t even the main issue. The empty roll and column settings were not responding – which means I won’t design or redesign a page the way I want. This is the main issue. The slider grid was not working too. I tested all these on a new page too.

1. Where is a tagdiv newsletter panel?

That would mean the theme has not been updated or installed properly. You could try a theme re-install by FTP

I used to have the Disqus comment system found at the bottom of all my pages on my site http://www.sonycentric.com, however, I don’t seem to have that any longer for some reason. The only page that has anything is this one https://www.sonycentric.com/articles/2017/09/27/sony-a1-oled-a1e-versus-vs-samsung-qled/#comments
but even then. the comments are closed, ive checked the Disqus backend and all comments are open etc. I’m not sure whats going wrong.
I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling, but no rectification.

Please try to reinstall tagdiv plugins (tagdiv composer and multipurpose) and see how it goes. Maybe there was an issue and they could not be updated automatically.

I have made as you suggested yet i get the same error. For informations, i am using your child-theme and i have changed the names of both themes.
I have made a test by installing both parent and child theme without changing the names and now it is working fine.
I guess changing the child theme name has something to do with that error. Hope you got a solution for this.

Facebook will use the post featured image when sharing a post, given you have installed the Yoast SEO plugin

This would be the recommended plugin to use for SEO purposes. Only through it you can control and customize the post sharing. The theme does not have any settings in the matter. The plugin has options to set an image for each post if needed

As long as WordPress is installed and running there would be no problem using a theme on a Windows based server. You could go ahead and install the theme there and test.

Unfortunately, please keep in mind that error happens due to a bad theme installing. Please make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another sub-domain for testing and check the results. Notice that I have tested on my site and no errors appear.

The theme does not contain any Google ads by default, these can only come by actions on your part.
Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, temporarily remove any code entered in theme panel ads sections, and custom code sections. Remove code from theme files if entered, deactivate the child theme if used. Also clear all caching installed after doing this. The ad comes from somewhere, it could have not just appeared by itself.

I’ve got the request from the magazine authors, and the page owner – to make available more picture thumb sizes.
That is because when someone shares the posts, it shows the wrongly cropped/cutted/chopped off picture or not the proper one.

I just purchased Newspaper in order to change the look of our magazine. When reading through the documentation, I read that Apache or Nginx are required. I just contacted the person in charge of our server and the main part of our website and he said that it is Windows II. Does that mean that Newspaper will not run on our server? Currently, it is just installed on my local computer. Thanks.

@Bogdan B, all the plugins and theme are updated and installed via FTP and on the second attempt via WordPress themes and plugins installer. Yet, i still get the same error in the theme panel > Multi Purpose.

How do I remove the more stories slider that was installed with demo?
I uploaded theme, activated, installed Demo (sound radar), however i didn’t get a message about installing Plugins. Now I can’t see the theme correctly on the back end. I never got a message about installing these plugins. How do I do this?

Thank you so much. Very good advice. Some items worked (heading colour etc.) but the menu would not work. I ended up re-installing the theme files and that brought everything back as it was. Thanks

I saw that you are using the Newspaper Child Theme. Try to switch the theme to the main theme, without any untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
