Hi.
My client has asked to make it possible to place the site logo (enola.be) to the left so it matches with the start af the menu, and to move the advertisement to the far right so it matches with the magnifying class on the far right.
I’ve searched and tried but nothing tends to work, at least not something that works on different screen sizes.
What I have added so far is this in the css theme panel, which already moved the menu to the far left and a width of 1600 px (which now matches nicely with the site contents).
Can you help me please with this one ?

That’s because index.php file has these links:

Hi,
I have seen similar issues in some other cases, can’t say why it happens however. Try to use an image of a different size (smaller or bigger) also of a different format.
Try with the current logo you use now but change it’s size, see if this has any effect.

In most cases you would have to change the logo size to fit the header, not the opposite. Most header styles have a recommended logo size for good results

The exceptions are header styles 9, 10 and 11, these will display the logo in full

I should specify that currently there is a header builder in work, this will add more flexibility to the way header styles are built and can be used.

The solution with the childtheme and the modified header-style.php is working flawlessly. I got the changing header logo for the is_page and the is in_category function (With 4 different logos).
But there is still a little problem with that. The thing is that there are some posts, who are in multiple categories. For example category1 (with headerlogo 1) and category2 (with headerlogo 2).
If I visit for example a page or a category page where the posts are, the logo is doing just fine, but if I click on a post and want to view the single post, the head always shows the headerlogo1 of category1 (I guess it has something to do with the alphabetical order of my categories).
Headerlogo1 in this case isnât wrong, because the post is in this category as well.
But when I am visiting category2 and click on a post I want to have the head showing headerlogo2 and not headerlogo1.
I hope youâll get my point.
How can I influence the headerstyle, that wordpress knows from which page I am coming from and displays the correct logo?
Is this possible at all?

In almost all previous similar cases this issue was caused by plugins. Try as a quick test to deactivate all of them, leave only theme plugins active. Chances are the option will be present and the issue fixed. Then activate them one by one and identify which one is to blame.

I am trying to add a Billboard Banner above my logo and menu in Newspaper, i have tried several different options as per Newspaper settings but nothing has worked.
I have tried creating my own template, which works ok and i am allowed to place ad spots where i need them. However, i then cant use the default header that comes with Newspaper. You can see my current set up here https://socanews.com

I had to move my website to another hosting and domain. WordPress handles this quite fine, but I have problem with newspaper theme. It stores a lot of paths in absolute format in database so for example all logos and thumbnails are still pointing to old url. When I try to update these directly in database, whole theme does some partial reset (all block thumbs are disabled, site logo is gone, fonts are gone etc). Doublechecked that I changed only urls and didnt make any typos. Seems to me like some glitch or protection. Is there any correct way to change absolute paths defined in my theme config? May be some sort of data export in readable format so I can alter paths. Default export is encoded…

Hi thanks for support! All done except for point 1. I can’t use the theme panel option for logo because I have to put 3 different logos and links! So I used code like screenshots but:
1) why when I refresh pages all 3 logos appear for 1 sec in wrong position?
2) the layout it’s perfect but for smartphone and iPad the quality of logos is low. It’s why I though about retina logos. But in your opinion it’s better put logos bigger and reduce them with css but how? Can u look my code and tell me mistakes or tricks to fix these 2 probs in better way? Thanks a lot guys, hope you ll help me because it’s last detail to change and it’s perfect!

Hi,
The h1 of the page will be the logo (if there is no page title). All the article titles are h3, so each grid, block etc will display the post titles in a h3. Block titles will be h4.
If you want to change this you would have to make modifications in the theme code. For example a modification like this will affect all the modules at once (article titles)

So you are trying to upload a logo and it is not working? What exactly is happening? Also what happens with the custom code section you mention? Some more details would be helpful.
The first thing to check would be the theme requirements guide

Insufficient resources can cause all kinds of problems.
The next one is to check if there is a plugin conflict, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check if this solves the problems you are having.
Chances are one of these suggestions will solve the problem in the theme panel. Let us know what you find.

1. By default a logo and retina logo can be uploaded in the theme panel, the retina logo will be displayed when needed automatically. If you entered the images directly in the theme header template, those will be displayed at all times.
Maybe create bigger images with a higher resolution (and reduce them with CSS), that may provide a better quality result.

2. Since that is a category, clicking it will direct to the category page. The mega-menu will display only categories. You could use a redirection plugin and redirect the category you want to a different page

Have seen this behavior through several generations of Newspaper and not found a fix, despite fiddling with all manner of logos and settings in the Logo & Favicon section.
Behavior: From home page, scroll down, and the logo disappears. It does not reappear until one scrolls back to the top.
How can I fix this?
