- NewsmagTheme colors introduction
I attempted to find my previous post with the same title but it doesn’t appear to be archived, so… here we go again.
I am using a child-theme of Newspaper
I do not have any alterations to the theme. I use the child theme merely as a good practices measure.
Newspaper theme is set to auto update.
Every time a new version updates the tag-div plugins uninstall and a majority of previous set settings in the theme panel revert to the defaults, such as logos, template thumbnail sizes, choice of headers, and more that I cannot remember but, I’ll make a list as I now have to once again go into the theme panel and change them.
Also I have to reactivate the theme with my purchase code every update as well.
I find this highly annoying, time-consuming and generally a pain in the ass.
Here is a printout of the WPeMatico status report of the current setup, including server information, plug-ins, etc…

I fixed temporarily removing the logo for quant cast screen in mobile, because for some reason with this last update, the css of the theme goes over the css of the popup to quantcast. Without soon it doesn’t get the pop so big and out of place, but it’s still bad
Creates a blank space, among other things like a title, for example, problem now:

Hello!
Check in the Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Header -> Logo & Favicon -> Text Logo, text logo tagline.
Yes, that is correct because those settings are in the correct section.
Thank you!
REPEAT OF ABOVE POST BECAUSE I NEED TO ADD SOMETHING
**************************************
The ‘ToTop’ button was already enabled. Not sure what it does however since I can’t see what ever effect it has. Just for good measure I turned the ‘Show on Mobile’ button too.
However, I think I may have discovered what the problem is, thought I still don’t know how to solve it. I noticed that if I select the header content in the desktop or tablet modes https://www.screencast.com/t/mCacmjyMm0d it tells me it it is the header menu as I go across the mode selector from desktop to tablet landscape to tablet portrait. But when I continue to mobile mode, the mode info changes to simply ‘Content’. https://www.screencast.com/t/MidBZxZXS0V9 I think what I can see as my Header Menu in mobile is simply Content, not the actual Header Menu.
The actual header content is there, but inaccessible in the composer. But it shows in mobile as a blank block, and when I ‘pull down’ the page in mobile, it shows as a blank blue line with a blank logo element.https://www.screencast.com/t/tghJI6uTNDh
How do I:
1/ Access this hidden header content block
2/ Get rid of the additional content information masquerading as a header?
3/ Furthermore, since I realize what the problem is, I realize that in fact on the other pages of the website, e.g. the ‘Join Us page, the header menu appears on Desktop in the editor https://www.screencast.com/t/DguykAYzmkws but in the mobile version it doesn’t appear at all https://www.screencast.com/t/tojKftCR
Bottom line: I think I have hidden blocks that are selectively appearing. I think I did this in the course of trying to make the menus work. Whatever the reason, how can I make them appear so I can access them?
Or is the solution just that the website header structure is so screwed up, with blocks that have been hidden now not accessible. So I should just create a brand new, properly functioning header and apply it to all the pages? and if so, how do I do this?
(Hopefully I don’t have to wait till tomorrow again to get an answer on this.)>>>>sorry but your tech support process leaves something to be desired. You are over i Europe but if you’re going to support people in Europe, you need to have someone working on Nort American hours. It takes 3-5 days to get any kind of problem solved because you’re in Romania working in European hours so you answer my question, but buy the time I get to it and implement it, and if I have a supplementary question, by the time I ask it you’re gone for the day. So I have to wait another day for the answer and we go through the cycle again. Its really frustrating.
So, I checked my company pages in mobile. None of them have a mobile header that can be seen in Composer. Please tell me how this mobile view header is supposed to work? I can’t access it??

Hello Chuck!
You can change it from the TagDiv Composer. I can see that in your website, the logo is changed now.
Thank you!
So I disabled the mobile plugin and everything looked perfect for a few days and now it has reverted back to the old look with the Romanian news logo. I checked and the mobile and amp plugins are not installed. I am so confused with the Mobil site of this theme. What can I do to at least remove this logo so people are not confused when they get the site on a phone?
Thanks
Chuck
I think I got it to work by overlaying a clear chip size 447×150 over the background. It seems to work, though it does pop up the shadow of the chip when you click on the ‘logo’ to access home. Is this the way to do it or is there a better way?
I am still struggling with my header. I thought I had succeeded in setting the background pic as the header and not using an actual header logo. But when I do that I find don’t have a website url. So I thought that I would set a clear png chip as the logo overlay over the background. But when I did that the logo located itself to the left and pushed the background pic to the right. Very frustrating.
Can you pls tell me: is it possible to set a background design like mine as either the logo, or as the header background with a url link. Or is this just not possible with Newspaper theme, because I don’t seen any examples in your portfolio examples.
My url is https://onlineinvestmentconference.com/

Hello!
It think this is the Mobile Theme plugin, so you can change the logo from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Header and the copyright text in footer -> subfooter.
You can uninstall this plugin, and it will display the one you created automatically.
Some texts can be translated from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Translations -> Translations: https://prnt.sc/zSmXIgSMCyCj
Thank you!
Hello,
You can use a different template on every article if you use a cloud template. You can duplicate a template, or install a new one and assign on the posts you like or create one from scratch by importing a blank template and build it as you like.
Check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-logo-in-categorypage/ ; Here is explained how to duplicate a header correctly and do some changes.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you use the responsive version or mobile page, you can set the width on the logo https://i.imgur.com/rnF7RnT.png -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-use-the-header-builder-and-tagdiv-cloud-header-templates/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hi.
I specify once again that we are currently using the Theme “Newspaper – Aramis Pro” whose demo link is: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_aramis_pro/.
The width of the Header on which there is the Logo and the Menus is a little short (see the limit represented by the “Yellow” Line on the following screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/WIxI9SR) compared to the limit of the body content of the page represented on the same screenshot by the “Blue” Line.
So, we want to widen the Header Width a bit so that it is adjusted to the same width of the body content of the page represented in “Blue“.
So, how can we widen the Header Width a little bit so that it reaches the “Blue” line of the screenshot so that it has the same width limit as the body of the Page ???
Thank you for helping us.
Please, answer us through sample demonstrations in screenshots because it will help us best to quickly understand and solve our problems.
Awaiting your reply.

Hello,
The tagDiv Composer is a page builder and it can be used for building pages and cloud templates, but not for creating posts. For this, you’ll need to use the Gutenberg or classic editor.
Using tagDiv Composer, you can build/edit the single post template (the layout of the posts).
Here is a video that will show you how to use the builder to create a website from scratch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoGQ0d5kIBg to do this you’ll need to already have the posts.
Also, on our channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOT1RiNysIPCTPSnVZskwtQ, you can find more videos that can help you and documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/ and you can ask us here on the forum or email if you have any questions.
Also, if you want to have some blocks/elements on a certain post, then you can use a different single template for posts, you can duplicate the template -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-logo-in-categorypage/
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello!
Please edit the homepage with the TagDiv Composer, access Website Manager and check if the header and footer are there and it is not selected “No footer”. Check in the Dashboard -> Cloud Templates and see if you have the footer template. If not, then please install a footer template from the Cloud Library or build it from scratch by uploading a blank template.
For the category page, you can add a flex block with filter Category: Current category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ The posts from that category will display.
Let the offset field empty with no space, no value and see the results: https://www.screencast.com/t/peVbVmUDE. For more information about offset feature, please check this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/.
Check this topic to see the difference: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/location-of-specific-blocks-to-edit/
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there or adjust them to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.
Note: If you want to use version 1 or 2, then you need to deactivate the Mobile theme plugin and see the results.
From what I can see, you use the Mobile theme plugin and there are only some settings in the theme panel -> Mobile theme for customization.
Some texts can be translated from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Translations -> Translations: https://prnt.sc/zSmXIgSMCyCj
That logo you’ve set up in the theme panel, you can change it and delete it from there.
Social media icons can be disabled/enabled by filling the fields Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Social Networks with the unique URL.
You can delete the join / SIGNUP from here: https://prnt.sc/O96Ni2YaFjJ1
Unfortunately, you can not add other elements there.
Thank you!

Hi,
I have an svg logo on my website but when I look through SEO tools I see that H1 tag is set to something like .cls-1{fill:#556055;}.cls-2{fill:none;}.cls-3{fill:#aa2055; This is starting svg code, and it shows twice at start. I have the same logo in header and footer so now I have about 5 H1 tags and a couple of H1 tags with 0 character in between. It’s all connected to those svg’s.. is there a way to show a H1 tag that I want inside the SVG or to simply remove it somehow. I tried the option to “Disable H1 on logo”
Thanks
I am super confused about how to properly use a mobile home page. I created a page per your blog post “Newspaper 10.3.7 Update Brings Customizable and Fast Mobile Pages” but every time I look on my phone I get the generic mobile theme or the current homepage with the Romania news logo. Can you point me in a direction to get my custom mobile page viewing?
Thanks
Chuck
Hi,
1. It is not recommended to keep more theme versions, but you can do that (but in case that you have sidebars made with widgets, those will be move in inactive widgets if you use the WP install method).
2. Normally, the update should not changed any settings that were made in the previous version. Did you checked the url from the logo?
1. Can I just temporarily deactivate the outdated theme and just upload the new one directly into WP? I get nervous messing around with File Manager too much and I don’t do the FTP thing.
2. OK. I had a lot of issues with the logo, which is why I resorted to configuring it like that…I suppose I’ll try to get the theme updated and see if that helps fix things.
it is all good when i login to be an admin.
but it can’t show anything when logout.
like the video sample: https://youtu.be/cW09m0QFJG0
