Hello,
A few days ago I tried making a change to a page, created using Visual Composer. The changed was adding a picture to a carousel. However, despite all my efforts, the new picture would simply refuse to appear – both on the actual website and in the admin panel.
Yesterday I updated Newspaper to the latest version which comes with VC 5.0.1. The problem persists. Today I tried to update another page by adding a block of pure HTML. Clicked save, the page reloaded and the block was not there.
Running: WordPress 4.7 (256 MB memory limit, PHP 7.0, PHP Post Max Size: 16MB, MySQL 5.5.52)
WP Super Cache – Caching disabled
CloudFlare – Development mode ON
Do you have any idea what might be causing this behaviour?

Max file size different from memory.
Also, make sure only uploading theme, not the all files zip.
Hi i have tried upload the theme
i have increased the php memory to 256 and it is still showing a error saying

Hi Chris,
I did as you suggested, used the wp-optimize plugin with the transients option ticked, I also resaved the permalinks, still no luck.
I noticed in the Theme Status tab the WP Memory Limit is 40MB/request instead of the recommended 64MB do you think that might have an effect on the load time of the backend?

Hello, I am about to buy a hosting with hostgator, but they have some parameters that can not be changed:
safe mode = Off (cannot adjust)
memory_limit = 256M (MAXIMUM)
max_execution_time = 30 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
max_input_time = 60 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
post_max_size = 64M (MAXIMUM)
upload_max_filesize = 64M (MAXIMUM)
enable_dl = Off (cannot adjust)
Would be any problem with this theme?

I have inspected your website and I saw that your image has 640*288 px and you have selected full width -> 904*407 px, right? This is the problem? So, please ensure that you have fully loaded this image to your media library and then, you should try to increase the system status according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ because the PHP memory can be exhausted and that’s why you do not get the right size for your images. Also, your website seems to work as properly in tablet and mobile mode…

I checked, the set value is well over 64
It was already set to:
define (‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’);
unfortunately still Visual Composer does not work 🙁

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of Visual Composer which comes bundled with the packet and which is Visual Composer 4.12.1. Also, try to check your system status to be higher increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Try to increase the PHP memory because this can be exhausted. The theme installations should have to be done via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Notice that the WordPress is fully tested with the theme and until now we have not encountered any issues in this regard. I’ve compressed my image sizes so that they will load on mobile, and now one isn’t appearing on my homepage in desktop. I’m also having issues with an HTTP error when uploading images into the media server even though they are less than the memory limit.

I followed the guide and this are my settings:
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M
WP Memory Limit 128 MB/request
I’ve decativated all plugin except visual composer and wp super cache and cleared the cache.
Same as before, 500 internal server error and the cpu load is very high.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Please keep in mind that error is not theme related. The error seems to happen due to your database connection or memory exhausted error. Try increasing the memory allocated to php and in your wp-config.php file.
On our box we needed to change it to 128M to have it work right (default WP setting is 40M, which is nuts).
Check the “system status” page in the theme panel to see where you’re at and where it’s recommended to be.
That is the usual issue with “it’s not working…”
(I don’t work here … just long time user) 🙂
Usually in your hosting panel will be a number of php settings ….
stuff like
memory_limit =
max_execution_time =
upload_max_filesize =
max_input_time =
post_max_size =
max_input_vars:

memory_limit: 256M
max_execution_time: 200
max_input_time: 200
post_max_size: 200M
max_input_vars: 100000
Common issues with loading elements:
a) not enough memory allocated to WP (256M or higher recommended)
b) timeout and process run time too low for php (mine is 2000 for both)
c) mod-security running blocking elements in WP
d) using old version of php (5.4 not recommended; 5.6 recommended)
e) general permisssions issue due to WP being installed by the hosting panel and partially “owned” by root, apache, and not by ftpuser
f) funky issue with CDN setup
g) poor optimization plugin being used to minify or compress elements of code on the fly, breaking capability
h) cURL and other server elements not working
i) robots.txt blocking access to parts of WP
j) custom WP install not setup right, renaming paths and folders
k) mis-match of https and http, www and non-www site structure
These are most often the “reasons” why 20,000 people can do something and 200 cannot.
