Hi,
I’m not sure I understand what you want to achieve, using the style 1 the logo it’s placed on the left unless you refer to the logo on mobile screens which it’s on the right. Please let me know and provide more details, also a screenshot would be helpful.
Thanks
Hi,
Please use this custom css, add it in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/ws1OHott4me
.td-sp-ico-menu {
background-position: -20px -364px !important;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry about this we have missed that, thank you for letting us know.
Thanks for the message!
Have a nice day!
Hello,
I would like to change the default menu icon on mobile. The default is the 3×3 square grid, but I would like to use the 3 horizontal lines. Is there a setting to change that?
Thanks!
By the way Lucian tagdiv.com currently still advertises that the menu swipe is there.
Hi,
Just checked your site and noticed that it doesn’t work actually, the mobile icon it’s set to show up using js on click, some plugins may conflict with this and as a result this issue appears, please make sure you don’t have any plugin that may interact with this and then check to see if this still happens.
Deactivate speed booster also, this may cause something like this also when used in conjunction with other plugins.
Please let me know what you find.
Thanks

Ah OK. I had not notice this. Sounds good. Thank you once again Lucian.
Hi,
Thanks Christopher for clearing this!
The theme uses two menus one for desktop and tablets and one for mobiles that’s why it has to menus and one hidden, we had do it like this to make some features available as Christopher pointed.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately the “Menu Swipe” on mobile feature it’s no longer available, we have removed it since theme version 3.6.
Thanks for the message
Please check my site: http://www.styzic.com/
When I click on the menubar icon on mobile, it just changes url to http://www.styzic.com/# but does not opens the menu.
Hi when I set the header style to Style 3 – (full width logo) + menu and view site on mobile (iOS in this case) the ad is not center align as per image here.
http://www.screencast.com/t/UqundJDxIRJ
Notice that the Ad seems to be left aligned.
How can I center this with Style 3 – (full width logo) + menu ?
Thank you.
Well, something which is hidden based on the viewport shouldn’t be seen when Google spiders a page looking at the “desktop” version if the second menu isn’t active. If both menus are visible on the page then both versions being followed would be an issue; a menu intended for different viewport but not visible on desktop, would not be followed by the desktop spider as it’s not part of the active DOM.
I may be thinking of how v 4.2.2 menus work, not 4.3, so pardon me if I’m entirely missing the point on the concern 😉
Having a mobile menu, and then a completely different desktop menu, is about the only way you can have a mega menu and a slide out mobile menu on same page and also have that switch on a tablet by changing orientation which doesn’t reload the page.
Before i created this thread i was triple checking that other(wordpress!) responsive website do this or just mine but seems like its only Newspaper.
Emil G. you are right, there is two menu item in the source code one for desktop and one for mobile and tablet. The main problem other responsive website don’t show the menu twice. That’s why i don’t understand whyyyy Newspaper do this?
The tool i used to check this can be found in my very first post:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?strip=1&q=cache:anywebsite-url-or-page-url
Or if you want a tool check it with Lynx web broweser
samratreddy: Algorithm which decide our rank in google, and if this is how google see our site i think it has negative impact.
If google see the same url linked twice in one page. Google gonna follow the first and ignore the second link, but at the end your onpage seo score gonna be lower.
Im sure google wont penalize you just because of this, but it can be an extra factor which makes your not rank.
Hi,
Is the swipe on mobile no longer avialble? I just notice that this is not working and that there is no option under the responsive settings section?
Hi,
It may be the fact that the theme uses two menus, one for desktop and tablets and one for mobiles. Please provide more details and the tool used for testing.
Thank you, Emil G.
Thanks Lucian, I just have to add !important.
Hi,
Please use this css:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-menu-wrap {
display: inline-block;
}
.mobile-logo-wrap img {
width: 140px;
top: 0px;
height: 100%;
}
.td-rec-hide-on-p {
display: block;
}
}
Also added the .mobile-logo-wrap img for the logo which I have noticed it’a a bit off line on mobile screens.
Should work like this: http://screencast.com/t/Et9lZRjsY
Thanks

Hi,
When I open the website in my smartphone, the td_demo_top menu (the one in the top of the page) doesn’t show, as well the ad next to the logo.
There’s any way I can show them in the mobile view?
Thanks

Hi,
The menu loaded on mobile screens it’s different in appearance and functionality from the one used for the tablets and desktop screens so the mega menu dose not work on mobiles. In order to have an category with it’s subcategories you will have to add them like this: http://screencast.com/t/y9FnwtA0g which will be displayed like this in the mobile menu: http://screencast.com/t/lh5kwtedaaUP
A workaround would be to add the category twice in the menu from appearance > menus, once to display the subcategories as a mega menu and once to to add the subcategories as sub-items then use custom css to hide one on desktop/tablets and the other on mobiles.
Sorry about the inconvenience.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Also just a comment, but this method of click/tap to expand search is quickly becoming a standard on the web and specifically mobile devices.
You will see this on the YouTube site on mobile, TIME magazine on desktop and mobile, New York Times on desktop and mobile, NBCnews.com, hundreds more as they do revamp for mobile, often based on Bootstrap or similar grid/masonry layouts, etc.
I only mention this as a “trend” and the reason why Radu and co did it this way. It wasn’t a unique design choice, but the way things are going as folks move more to a “mobile first” layout (sigh).
Hi Lucian,
actually on my phone (S4/Android), main page is showing like this:
http://www.screencast.com/t/XioAI6hgpa
When i click on home menu i get Search
and there’s no global menu showing.
Thanks for your help
Hello,
Is it possible to use a different menu for the mobile menu, rather than sharing the same one that the desktop is showing?
I know it’s possible to define a different menu in ‘mobile-menu.php’, however when the desktop is using Mega Menu, changing the defined menu this file stops the Mega Menu from working.
Many thanks.
Max
Hello,
After activating the W3 Total Cache plugin,
the mobile version of the site stopped working properly.
The menu button did nothing (just redirected to mywebsite.com/# instead of opening the mobile menu on the left. And the search button also did not work and simply redirected to mywebsite.com/# instead of opening the text field for search.
I have the latest 4.2.2 Newspaper.
Please try to fix this.
W3 Total Cache is the highest rated and most complete WordPress performance plugin. All themes must work with it. If Newspaper doesn’t not work with it, I would have to let it go and start using a different theme.
Thanks,
Jan
Hi,
We know about this issue, you will have to send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send a fix for it or you can wait until next theme update, we have already fixed it and will be available with the next theme version.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks for the message!
I noticed that on my site a few days earlier but I thought it was conflicting with my custom code but turns out everyone is having this problem. tagDiv any fix?
