Hi,

That is pretty unusual.

First, installing woocommerce doesn’t cause the AMP plugin and our mobile theme to also be installed. These two plugins are optional and have no relation to woocommerce. And the plugins can’t just install themselves.

Second, even if the two plugins are installed, it should be possible to deactivate and delete them, as with any plugin. But if you tried to remove them without success, I will take a look at this as well. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass) for the website.

Thank you!

Hi. For some reason when I check the mobile view, this is what I see:

https://bikereview.com.au/images/newspaper-theme-mobile.png

I tried installing the mobile theme plugin, but still the page displays like this in the editor and also if I resize the browser window. Why is it not responsive?

I cannot show you the website as it is not an active URL and you would need to add a record to your HOSTS file to see it.

Please let me know why the mobile view is not working.

We have many custom pages created via tagdiv composer – example here: http://www.orangeslices.ai/govcon-ma
We recently did some updates and added woocommerce to the site, which caused several other plugins to be activated – namely AMP and the Tagdiv mobile theme plugins.
This has caused quite a few issues with customers unable to see anything on those custom pages on mobile except the header and footer.
We are using the Newsmag theme. We have tried to deactivate the plugin or looked for a way to turn it off but it does not deactivate and there is nothing in the theme panel that we have found to turn off the mobile theme plugin settings. We have almost 10K users and this is very stressful.
We are using the classic editor and I do not see any options to turn off the mobile theme per page either. Please advise us how to remove this plugin. We tried to do so via blogvault and it crashed the site and we had to reboot it. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for your hard work.

BlockChain PRO pre-built theme (including content) has been successfully installed.

After that, the first section of the homepage works normally on large screens. However, on mobile (small screens), there is an issue where the pages overlap behind the menu, or the screen is cut off and overlaps again after a little manipulation.

It seems that the basic settings such as height are different from the example (sample) theme. Please let me know what to do.

* Use the latest version of Chrome browser on desktops (PCs).
* Use iPhone and Chrome browser on mobile devices.
* Please refer to the attached My site, video, and images.

Hi,

Glad it works.

For mobile you could create a new menu, and create sub-menus to replicate this menu from desktop https://prnt.sc/sYKNIZR_1RPO But the thing is that a different menu for mobile can only be set if the mobile theme is active https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-get-mobile-ready-with-newsmag-theme/ like this https://imgur.com/b8zNx4T I see no other way unfortunately.

The Newsmag theme doesn’t have the same capabilities as our Newspaper theme. With the Newspaper theme you could have created a popup and use it instead of the mobile menu, and in the popup you could have displayed anything you wanted. Newsmag however doesn’t have such options.

Thank you!

Hello!

Which mobile version do you use?
We have three options available for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

Thank you!

Seedprod plugin: We used this plugin to hide the live site behind a “coming soon” message while building the website using Newspaper Pro Theme. The image has somehow become embedded in code and is showing up when we open every page on the live site before showing the actual page. We have tried all troubleshooting strategies, and our webmaster has suggested that we contact you as he could not find the code. It shows up on all devices – desktop, mobile, and tablet. This plugin has been deleted from our site.

You will see the issue when you click on the link https://consciousliving.net.au and when you click on any menu tab or article link.

Thanks Patricia Hamilton

As a note, that is the mobile theme accent color https://prnt.sc/Qr88zq2Pd3j- which applies to multiple elements across the website, including the links you mentioned. You could change the accent color to something different.

Or, if you just want to change the color of the author name in the modules then it can be done with some CSS https://prnt.sc/boPequHFP-yU -> https://pastebin.com/5sAzRPUr

I don’t quite understand what you mean unfortunately. What is the sub-page exactly?

So if you want to use the mobile theme, the pages can be treated in 2 ways:

1. Add content for each page in the mobile editor. If you do not, the pages will be empty on mobile.

2. Exclude the pages you want from the mobile theme. The option is available in the Gutenberg editor.

Those are the only choices. But if there is a problem, or I am misunderstanding, please mention more details and I will help as much as I can.

Thank you!

Hello!

@simchris
Unfortunately, no.

Make sure you’ve tried all the optimization suggestions from here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/wp-rocket-and-newspaper-theme-optimization-guide/

Limit the number of backups: https://app.screencast.com/M5Wco6Td6nymr
Google AdSense and CMP scripts (especially Google’s own CMP) are notorious for slowing down mobile performance on tools like PageSpeed Insights. You mentioned trying a timeout or “run on scroll” for JavaScript. While that helps ads, it’s problematic for CMP. As advice: Let the CMP load first, but delay ad-related JavaScript. Delay ad scripts, improve First Contentful Paint (FCP), and still show ads. Another workaround here could be to use data-block-on-consent for Ads. Please eliminate Unused CSS with PurgeCSS or WP Rocket Add-ons. Enable “Remove Unused CSS” if not already on.
In the WP Rocket -> Delay Javascript execution, you can add:
adsbygoogle.js
gpt.js
googletagmanager.com
googlesyndication.com
Any js code can be added here: https://app.screencast.com/uDYjK7nL0vKG8
I hope that helps you!

Hello,

When I use the Tagdiv mobile theme plugin, the h1 tag is not visible on mobile.

Thank you!

I’ve seen the answers. I’m not decorating the page, but all I want is to say the text of the sub-page.

Can’t I see the body content of the page in the mobile theme?

I forgot to mention. If you want to exclude some pages from the mobile theme, there is a way.

When you edit a page with the Gutenberg editor there will be an option here https://prnt.sc/rnQYrlCstm3W This option is available for each page or post and if you want you can use it to exclude specific pages from the mobile theme.

But if you do not exclude the pages, then it will require entering content in the mobile editor, or else the pages will be empty on mobile.

Thank you!

In mobile themes,

I can’t see all the information on the page.

Is there no way to display page content?

Hello!

The mega menu will show the subcategories of the category you choose from the list. You can have custom links in the menu item on your website. More about mega menu functionalities here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/

Hi,

Pages will require content in the mobile editor, please check the guide carefully https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/

So if the mobile theme is active, when you edit a page normally there will be a mobile editor lower in the page https://prnt.sc/KuvTTee0argc That is the content that will be displayed for the page when the mobile theme is active.

To explain why this is required, the main reason is that the mobile theme does not use or display composer page builder content. The pages can be built in a more simple way using the mobile editor, usually with text and images.

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately, on mobile, you cannot use custom fields because the mobile theme is a simplified version.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/
I recommend creating your own CPT and taxonomies.
Please check this guide https://www.scratchcode.io/how-to-change-custom-post-type-slug-in-wordpress/ -> https://codexcoach.com/how-to-remove-slug-from-custom-post-type-in-wordpress/

Hello,

Please disable the AMP and tagdiv mobile theme plugins. AMP is deprecated as of January 2023-> https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp so we don’t longer recommend it.

Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

I am using siteground which according to https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-97/ might have a plugin causing the issue however

1. This issue with all plugins was not a problem on staging
2. On production I disabled all 3 plugins, went into the siteground backend UI and purged cache manually
3. According to siteground , I can’t disable ModSecurity
4. I dont have this file https://imgur.com/yWvbbrt
5. This is not effecting TD composer homepage customization, but all other cloud templates.
6. The staging site still works perfectly, its when I pushed from staging to production that this error happened
It shows the error with different numbers depending on the page tempalte
Errors at columns: 1(models) : 3(dom). The model does not match the content
Error at rows: 1(models) : 2(dom). The model does not match the content
Error at rows: 2(models) : 1(dom). The model does not match the content

https://debtsavage.com/
https://staging2.debtsavage.com/ -> with staging post that allows TD composer https://staging2.debtsavage.com/wp-admin/post.php?post_id=2896&td_action=tdc&tdbLoadDataFromId=2893&tdbTemplateType=single&prev_url=%2F%2Fstaging2.debtsavage.com%2Fd-longform-v2-coa%2F

Mobile theme inquiry

Why aren’t all pages displayed in the mobile theme?

Posts and categories are displayed normally.

What settings do I need to make to view the page on mobile?

Hello. I recently purchased the theme, but I’ve already put the portal online and I’m adjusting it slowly.
The biggest problem is with the mobile version. In addition to finding it confusing to configure, the Home page appears correctly, but when I browse the posts, everything appears misaligned, the layout is completely lost, the images don’t appear properly. In short, it’s chaos.

Can you help me? If necessary, I can create a user and let you take a look inside.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I am using the ‘Cali Sight’ edit of Newspaper theme, using the ‘tourisms’ function. However, when I activate the mobile theme, the posts do not contain any of the custom fields. Is there something I can do to improve this? I would like continuity across mobile and desktop.

Also, how can I remove the “tdcpt_tourism” from the url across all ‘tourisms’ to something more user friendly? Thank you!
