Is it possible to add an article slideshow to the top of the mobile theme? I have it displaying random posts right now, but id like the user to be able to have a slideshow of posts instead.
thanks
The mobile version I set up gets misconfigured when I upload a new post or make changes to the page. Specifically, it’s the posts on the mobile version. I have to clear the cache for it to align or adjust back to how it was before. Help! What can I do to fix this problem?
Hello,
We are attempting to execute a WP-CLI command on our website; however, we are encountering the following error:
“Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘AMP_Theme_Support’ not found in /home/travelstyle/staging.travelstyle.gr/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td_mobile_theme.php:336”
If we disable the plugin, the command executes without any issues. However, as the process may take some time to complete, we will leave the AMP pages inactive for an extended period.
Could you please advise if there is a solution or workaround to resolve this issue without having to disable the AMP functionality?
Hello,
The social icons from the mobile menu are coming from the Theme Panel -> Social/Apis -> Social Networks -> https://i.imgur.com/kKYIECB.png remove/edit them after your needs.
Thank you!
Hello,
You need to edit with tagdiv Composer, and with it you can set the menu and so on.
You have the mobile theme plugin activated; please deactivate it and clear the cache.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
It’s been about 2 years since I opened my site, but I just realized that I have this problem. Shouldn’t all the changes I make on the desktop be reflected on mobile in the same way? For example, the footer area of my website is not the same as on the desktop and I need to translate it to my language. However, I can’t see a section in TagDiv Composer where I can change the appearance of the mobile side, and there is no section in the theme panel where I can change the name of this area.
I have configured the City theme for a non-AMP site and created a page for it. Additionally, I have configured another theme for mobile devices, with the address mysite.com/home-mobile. My expectation is that when a mobile user visits mysite.com, they should be automatically redirected to the mobile page, but that is not happening. The AMP plugin is installed, but I might be missing some settings causing this issue. How can I resolve this?
hi I am using your theme for my website motiva8.com but while opening the website on mobile few elements are not coming properly, like in the header default theme logo is coming. Also we have places custom ads in three places in home page, as far as laptop is concerned they are coming properly but in mobile Ad banners are not visible, please advise
In addition i would also like to mention that i did clean up any cache and i also tested multiple browsers also in private browser mode.
A week ago i tested the plugin ‘TagDiv mobile theme’ but this plugin doesn’t really do what i expected it to do so i deactivated it again.
Hi!
We are using the Newspaper theme on this Website. When i view the website on my iPhone it looks different then when i view the website in a responsive testing tool with a mobile viewport.
This is on my iPhone:
This is on my computer while testing for mobile view:
I don’t understand why they are different buy i much prefer the second one (testing on desktop). How do i make sure that this version is always being used instead of two different versions? I also can’t seem to make any changes to the version i see on my iphone and the layout is all messed up.
Thanks for looking!
Hello, I have a video ad that sits at the top of my content. When the user scrolls, it is supposed to either fly out to the right of the content if on desktop or stick to the top of the screen if on mobile. This works on any other theme, but on Newspaper, it will not work. I’ve tried in the ad block unit and as code in an HTML module.
You can see an example of the video unit here: https://detroitsportsnation.com/amon-ra-st-brown-weighs-in-on-opponents-using-the-lions-as-motivation/wgbrady/detroit-lions/01/15/2025/467307/
This is very important as it is losing rev by not having better viewability.
Hello,
Our theme doesn’t have the dark mode. You can try to use a plugin for those and also to set another mobile toolbar background for your headers.
Thank you!
Hi,
The theme has an option for ‘Mobile Toolbar Background’ in Theme Panel -> Theme Colors.
This can be used to define a background color as per the theme-color meta element: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/semantics.html#meta-theme-color
Are meta tags for dark and light modes also supported? I don’t see settings for those.
I also have two different headers of independent colours, used on separate areas of the site, so rather than a single mobile toolbar background color, what would be the best way to define different theme-color meta elements for each header?
Thanks!
Hello,
I’m encountering several issues that I’d like assistance with, especially as I’m planning to launch the website tomorrow or the day after.
Header Issue (Desktop): The header works perfectly on mobile across all categories, but on desktop, it displays as black in the categories. It used to look fine, so I’m unsure if this is because the site is in maintenance mode or if there’s another issue.
Countdown Plugin (Mobile): I used a countdown plugin earlier, but I removed it since the free version only displayed 10 days. I had placed it in two specific categories, and while I removed the element from the editor, it still shows up on mobile (but not on desktop). I’m unsure how to remove it completely since it no longer appears in the editor.
Sticky Menu Issue: I fixed the top menu as sticky, but the bottom column (where I display the “Latest News” ticker) also became sticky. This is less urgent, but I wonder if it’s possible to make just the top menu sticky without affecting the bottom column.
Post Design: I’m currently managing post layouts through the theme panel. I downloaded and customized some templates but wasn’t satisfied with the results. Is there a way to modify the current post design without applying a new template? Perhaps using a blank template or another method?
I’d really appreciate your guidance on these issues, as the launch date is very close. Thank you so much for your support!
Best regards
Hi,
Normally the top menu isn’t displayed on mobile. But it cold be made visible with some CSS. Try the code from here https://pastebin.com/GcbKMVeF It can be entered in the theme Live CSS https://prnt.sc/j5FvJzugdIaI or in the theme panel. It should make the top bar visible on mobile. Please try it and let me know if it works correctly.
Thank you!
Hello Ana María,
I have reviewed your previous response. Currently, I have the Mobile Theme disabled, but my question is that I am not sure which of the other two options I am using. I have created the mobile versions of the templates for each category, but I am editing from this section: https://app.screencast.com/hCF7hvLOgj7h6
The issue I’m facing is that I can’t find this option to convert templates: https://app.screencast.com/1a8poIVHKXlsn. I’ve been looking for it since I tried to make both the header and footer display correctly on mobile, but I haven’t been able to find or resolve it.
Regarding scheduling events, I believe I didn’t explain myself properly. My issue is not related to the scheduling of event posts. I have created a calendar page to show events to my readers with as much information as possible, as this is something they specifically requested. I created this page using shortcodes. It looks perfect on desktop, but on mobile, the calendar doesn’t display properly—it shows the events and a map I added, but the calendar itself is missing. This calendar is a very important feature on my website, and I’m not sure if it falls within your area of responsibility, but I would really appreciate any guidance on how to fix it.
Additionally, there is a blank space full of columns at the bottom of the homepage that I can’t remove.
Finally, I wanted to ask for advice on how to upload posts from mobile devices, whether it’s a tablet or an iPhone, over the weekend. I can’t schedule these posts because my role is to report on events as they happen, and I won’t have access to a computer during those days.
I greatly appreciate your help and look forward to your response.
Best regards
Hello,
Did you also disable the mobile theme plugin? Also, please try to use another device. Also, you may have a plugin conflict, which can cause an issue with the switching theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
From what I see, these aren’t really issues but rather misunderstandings about how the theme works. After you disabled the tagDiv mobile theme and created a mobile page, there’s still an issue with the header and footer. This problem occurs because you need to convert the header and footer templates https://app.screencast.com/1a8poIVHKXlsn However, I would like to know if you want to display different content on mobile and use the mobile page. If you don’t want different content, you can simply unassign the mobile page.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/
To display the number of followers, you need to use Instagram as a “Business” or “Creator” page, in this way those Instagram pages will be administered by a Facebook account (this is how Facebook API is working).
Also, when you log in with your Facebook account you must approve access to the pages you manage in order to be able to get your followers number
Here are some guides that can help you -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/ -> https://www.facebook.com/business/help/502981923235522 -> https://www.facebook.com/business/help/345675946300334?id=419087378825961
For YouTube, you need to set the YouTube API key, also you can set more YouTube Channels by simply adding more social counter elements and set in them the new YouTube Channel.
Regarding the calendar, it’s likely that when you created the mobile page, it wasn’t included on the page. In that case, you need to add it to the page using the “Column text” element on the mobile page.
Yes, you can apply a single design for all posts. You create a single post template as you like, and then you can apply it globally -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
If you want, you can schedule the posts/events -> https://wordpress.com/support/schedule-a-post-or-page/
Thank you!
Dear TagDiv Composer Support Team,
I would like to provide you with an updated summary of the issues I’m currently facing. I apologize for the multiple messages I’ve sent earlier and any confusion they may have caused. Unfortunately, I’m unable to delete those messages. Here’s the current status:
Mobile View Issues:
I have successfully recreated mobile templates for all categories and deactivated the Theme Mobile plugin.
The body of the website now displays correctly on mobile. However, the footer and header still have problems:
I can’t figure out how to adapt the footer for mobile view.
Regarding the header, I’m unsure if I need to recreate it specifically for mobile. If that’s the case, I’d appreciate guidance because I’ve tried and haven’t been successful.
Social Media Connections:
I’m struggling to link social media accounts, particularly Instagram. It redirects me to Facebook, and I can’t connect Instagram.
I’d like to link the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. Could you provide instructions on how to resolve this?
Calendar Issue:
I’ve created a calendar page using shortcodes with the Events Manager plugin. It displays perfectly on desktop but does not appear on mobile. I understand this may be outside your scope, but any advice would be appreciated.
Post Appearance:
I have 108 posts already created, and I’d like to redesign their appearance to make them more visually appealing. Is there a way to bulk-apply a new design to all of them?
Content Entry While Traveling:
On January 17 and 18, I’ll be covering events from the street using an Android tablet or iPhone. I need to create and publish two or three posts during that time. Could you recommend the best workflow for adding content using mobile devices?
I truly appreciate your help, as I’m aiming to launch the website on January 15 or 16, and these issues are critical to resolve before then.
Thank you so much for your time and support.
Best regards
Dear TagDiv Composer Support Team,
I am experiencing critical issues with the mobile view of my website and template management in TagDiv Composer. Below are the details:
Mobile View Issue: When I activate the Theme Mobile plugin, only the latest post is displayed, both on mobile and desktop versions, instead of the design I created. The only thing visible is that single post. If I deactivate the plugin on the desktop version, the design appears correctly, but on the mobile version, it still only shows the latest post and does not reflect the full mobile design I created.
Template Issue: Additionally, I had created the mobile version of all my category templates, but I deleted them before removing the Theme Mobile plugin to see if that was the problem. Now, I can’t access the templates; the option to use them doesn’t show up, which prevents me from creating or editing the mobile version. To check, I reinstalled the Theme Mobile plugin, but as mentioned in point 1, it only shows one post and doesn’t let me access the menu or anything, so I am unable to create anything or make progress.
Urgency: The launch date for my website is set for January 15th, and I need an urgent solution. The desktop version is nearly ready, but the mobile version still does not reflect the design I created. I’ve tried everything I can think of, and nothing seems to be working.
Could you please help me with these issues as soon as possible? The launch date is quickly approaching, and I need everything to be ready on both devices.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your prompt response.
Kind regards
I have another question.
is it somehow possible show in mobile theme top menu? In computer is it in blue.
or do you have some ideas how to create menu for switching the language versions.
I have my website translated to different languages and i have saved in on different national domains. (.com, .eu, .cz, .sk, .es)

= when im thinking about second step, i will in future need 5pcs themes for each national domain. is it possible to byu, some multi packet or i should by separate license for each domain? thanks for ideas.
The home page breaks off after the text, and does not show any images. But this only happens on Safari mobile view. Here is a screenshot: https://gfx.cx/images/2025/01/11/bS4Cu.png
We have copied the site to a staging one:
https://wordpress-689239-5166892.cloudwaysapps.com/
Last year, this issue was resolved a fix on tagDiv Lazy Loading, but this does not work anymore.
The theme is: Newspaper ver. 12.6.8
Hi,
I am introducing an Ad box element in my page. I am adding the image ad for all pages, and then the external URL and I am checking the checkbox to open in a new tab. Then when I am saving the edits and load the page, the ad is directing to my homepage instead of the external link. When I reload the tagdiv editor, I can see that the URL has not been saved. I add it again, and it is not saved again.
I have checked the browser console, and I do not see any errors there. I have checked the server Logs (Apache) and I do not see any errors there either.
In debug.log I have tons of errors like the following:
[10-Jan-2025 09:11:52 UTC] PHP Deprecated: preg_match(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/vhosts/finupnews.gr/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/Mobile_Detect.php on line 1257

The only solution has been to delete the module altogether and start from scratch. But even that is not always guaranteed to work properly. Meaning, it is very possible that deleting the Ad box which is not saving the URL, and adding a new Ad box and following the process step by step from zero can sometimes work, but it can also not work again and again.
Please advise how can it work properly? I have the Newspaper theme in its most recent version, and everything else is up to date.
Best regards,
Konstantinos
Some how editing the site from mobile makes it switch to the twentytwenty theme. I cleaned up everything, but you should look into this. Somehow it switched of the AMP and messed up the home page.
Hello Ritu!
Yes, the responsive version is like that. Another workaround could be to hide an element in the desktop so it will appear only in the mobile viewport and reverse. But you can build your mobile pages as explained here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
There are only 3 options that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
