Hello,
So I am trying to adjust the mobile theme on my site noestamosperdidos.com, and although its working really fast )which I really want), there’s too many problems with it. When I open it with my Iphone the menu does open, I have no sharing buttons on the articles, the gradient over the “featured” post its moved and looks awful, and some categories have a black background so the text cannot be read. When I try the site with an android phone the site looks better and I am able to share posts and check the menu. So its there any problem with iOS?
I still haven’t figured out how to add pages to it though, as the tutorial seems outdated and theres no such a thing as a mobile editor (or is there?).
Thank You

Hi,

For increased performance on mobile there is a mobile theme you could use. Here is some information about it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The desktop looks alright, there could be some improvements – http://prntscr.com/mf5r86

For overall optimization to the website you can check some topics from the forum
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newpaper9-theme-making-website-very-slow-google-pagespeed-just-24100/

Regarding the AMP issues, seems the auto ads code has been entered in the header ad spot
http://prntscr.com/mf5orn
That would be wrong, that code can only be entered like this at the moment
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/info-adv-amp/
I believe an option will be added in a coming update for the AMP plugin, so that the code can be entered in the theme panel instead of the plugin files. But for the moment that is the only way.

Thanks

Is there a browser or a way to drag and drop elements from tagdiv composer on a mobile device. It seems kind of odd that I must always use a PC if I ever want to modify my homepage as drag and drop does not work on my mobile device. So if for instance I want to add a YouTube playlist or revolution slider to my homepage how would I go about doing this on mobile?

Hello!

I just noticed that in the mobile version, when loading a page, the search box appears short. You can see that on the video quite well.

Can this be related to the first problem?

Many Thanks!

Hi there,
I found that the mobile menu (toggle) on my website http://www.wandelingen.info is not opening when I first go to my homepage.
When I go on to another page the menu is working fine.
When I go back to the homepage after that, the menu is opening as well
So only on my first visit to the website, the menu is not opening, ie the menu items are not shown.
I don’t understand what’s happening here. Can you help me out?
Thanks! http://www.wandelingen.info

If you look at my site on a mobile device, can you please advise how I would go about centering them (the social icons)?

Thank you for your continued support!

site: https://www.worten.es/blog – on desktop it works just fine. But if I change the viewport to an iPhone using the browser’s inspector, I get this JS error in the console. Lazy loading of images stop working, and images are not shown at all, in any page. On desktop, it works perfectly fine, so I’m quite puzzled.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘replace’ of undefined
at HTMLImageElement.<anonymous> (tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=9.2.2:182)
at Function.each (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:1)

at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:1)
at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:1)

For the time being, I have de-activated lazy loading and modified inicial opacity of images setting it to 1 so they show up without the fade animation it’s supposed to have if that JS worked fine.

How can I fix this JS error? – checked the DOM and the object/property it’s looking for, is available so I don’t really know what else to do.

Okay, I tried something different because I wanted to use different images. But now I can’t get the image to center on the mobile version.

I tried setting the image element “Image alignment” to “center,” but it didn’t work.

Then I tried setting the column element “H. align” to “center,” that didn’t work either.

Thoughts? Why is this simple functionality not working?

Is there a maximum size that will render on mobile or do I have to test until I find it? 😀
Also, can I use media queries to make it appear on mobile? if so, where would I use it? Thanks!

Hi,

since a couple of days, I’m having issues with symbols and social media icons not displaying properly.

The social media icons on the top header of http://www.sgaialand.it display as Japanese characters from Explorer, Edge, Safari. In Chrome for mobile, all icons (including navigation arrows, menu items, etc.) now display as crossed boxes (screenshots: 1) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1v1-rc3ojO2sgSSmet5a1tHMvXxkehhu3 and 2) https://drive.google.com/open?id=18arUx4lpvxkpLVVfk2pl07p3_BrK_0yo).

Everything works fine only from Chrome for desktop, but in the console there are plenty of errors (see here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XM3HvIOlvWoQ2nQTggnhRw0B5yn4s81i).

I’ve tried to modify the .htaccess file as you suggested in other posts, but didn’t work for me.

Could you please help? The site has thousands of views each day, and the situation is pretty embarassing. The worst thing is that the mobile menu is ugly and hard to navigate.

Many thanks and kind regards

Hi,

We will try to help you with these issues. The first and most important step would be the theme requirements guide, there will be various issues if these are not met
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is true that there is currently an issue with the mobile theme (this will be fixed in the next theme update), but if it’s not active it can’t be blamed.

Indeed seems that the images do not load in the posts , also other elements such as the header search, the related articles section at the bottom of the post, these are not working correctly.
Usually this is caused by a plugin conflict, conflict between the theme and various codes entered in the theme panel, theme files or child theme.

These would be the next things to check, deactivate all non-theme plugins as a quick test, remove theme modifications and deactivate the child theme temporarily, also codes in the theme panel if you entered any.

When configured properly it shouldn’t cause any issues
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Make sure the data you enter in it is according to the documentation. If it still causes problems we could take a look at it. Send us admin access at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check it. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,
We have a blog
https://www.blog.centilytics.com/containers-vs-vms-virtual-machines/
And in this blog, we have a table.

Now, as we go an reducing the screen size, the responsiveness of the table seems to work. But as it reach below 430px, the table does not shrinks down anymore according to the width. It just stays there. And a person accessing the blog on mobile cannot see the whole table as there is no overflow enabled (CSS) on the table.
Hence, the table is not properly accessible in mobile view.
How can we sort this ?

Hi,

Does that plugin work with the official AMP plugin, or does that plugin support AMP? I found a topic with a discussion in this matter – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-working-on-amp-2/

Adsense ads for AMP have to be added like the documentation species
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en
In the theme panel AMP section they can be entered like this
http://prntscr.com/me3krx
Be sure to test if the ads appear with a mobile or mobile emulator. There should be no problem.

Thanks

Very Buggy - topic

I’ve been looking to change over to this theme. However each time I do, it seems I run into another issue.
When I install a demo theme (without content) sometimes the images in my posts (created while using another theme) show, with others demo’s they do not.

When I try to use the cloud templates, for some templates they load in and are editable in the page editor – other times, they never load and the page editor seems to get caught in a loop and just spins. I was told to deactivate the mobile theme plugin to fix this. Problem is, I never had that plugin active.

I install a demo theme – such as “Blog fitness” to give myself a starting point, and it starts off well. Then I try to build out a sidebar and start by adding the tag div social counter widget and that causes some conflict that results in all the images in the content column not loading. I tested that around 4 times.

It’s a shame because the ease of the customizations of this theme and the choices by clicks, as well as the many other features, brought me to it. But, it just seems to be very buggy in unpredictable ways and various times.
