Hi,

Let’s try to discuss each of the issue/questions one at a time if possible. A link to the website would have been helpful with some of them.

1. Regarding the theme activation with the key, that issue can happen sometimes. Usually it is temporary, and trying at a later time works. Or you could try the manual activation instead https://www.screencast.com/t/EL4k48Lq
If there still is a problem activating the theme with the key, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login, also the key. We will check.

2/3 Regarding the mobile display issue, did you maybe activate the optional mobile theme plugin? This is the guide https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/ Most of the live demos do not use the mobile theme. The mobile theme will help with the mobile performance however, if you wish to increase it. Test with and without it, there should be a noticeable difference.

4. In category pages it depends. Ascending or descending in terms of what exactly? Do you mean by publish date? You can edit the category template with the composer, click on the grid or the post loop from the template, and check the available sorting option. For example they can be set to display posts by publish date, oldest first https://prnt.sc/10a77hk By default they are latest first.

Hello,

That element is a menu created in Appearance -> Menus => https://www.screencast.com/t/ygOfOy9o, edit the page with tagDiv Composer, add the element called “Mobile horizontal menu” and the menu created and set where you want => https://www.screencast.com/t/nV2sEJ4AMW
The blog is a page, set in that menu.

Hope this helps you!

Thank you!

Hi Simon,

Made a new post regarding this as I’ve recently discovered that it happens randomly. And not just in mobile browsers.

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-stop-showing-latest-articles-in-website-and-instead-show-mobile-page/#post-389438

Appreciate it if you can help me look at it. Thank you.

And with this one, don’t you need to add the amp script async custom-element=”amp-ad” src=”https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-ad-0.1.js”this script and then the code in amp ads option? Or just the code in the ads from the mobile plugin?

Hi,

It may be like that if perhaps you are redirecting all mobile visitors to the AMP version, please check https://prnt.sc/10a5cbe That option is disabled by default, maybe you activated by mistake, please deactivate it.

Thank you!

Hi,

The height of the row or of the columns from a row will be the height of the elements that are placed inside.

One solution to increase the height there, would be to perhaps use an empty space element there, and adjust the height for it until it looks as you want https://prnt.sc/10a49y4

Setting a padding or fixed height would also be fine. Especially since the values can be adjusted per viewport, that is what the options are for. If there are issues on the other viewports adjust the values for them specifically https://prnt.sc/10a4dc9
So if it does not look alright on mobile, set a different height or padding for mobile. You can set 500 height there and another value for mobile for example. Or leave it as it is, if it looks fine.

I suggest experimenting with these suggestions, if possible.

Thank you!

Hello,

If you want to display the page using the mobile theme plugin and it displays the responsive version of the page, please check if this option on the page is enabled, edit the page, select the Mobile Theme Settings => https://www.screencast.com/t/RAsHQ0JD

Hope this helps you!

Thank you!

Hello,

If I understand correctly, you want to use the hamburger menu, but when it opens it doesn’t take up the whole page, for this you need to use a custom code CSS, to look like this for desktop => https://www.screencast.com/t/eR5DY6EtFY
Set the code in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom css.

#td-mobile-nav, .td-menu-background{
width: 22%;
}
.td-menu-mob-open-menu #td-outer-wrap {
box-shadow: 0 0 46px #000000;
position: unset;
transform: unset;
}

If this is not what you mean, please let me know!

Thank you!

Is there any way to increase the number of related articles on mobile view? (Not Mobile Theme)
Now it shows one related article after a main article area, but I want it to show more articles.

Hi fabioweb90, unfortunately, as you saw there is no option for this on mobile theme. The only way to can achieved that is to use a custom code in theme files, and this is no so easy.
Thank you for your understanding!

Good day.
I optimized the site according to your instructions. The full version of the site works fine.
But mobile doesn’t want to be optimized at all.
The full version of the site before optimization was 40. After optimization it became 75. The mobile version before optimization was 25, now it is 30.
The simplified mobile version (tagDiv Mobile Theme) doesn’t suit me.

Tell me how you can optimize the mobile version? Gossip Website Template https://dip.org.ua/

Hi, I have been trying to update the header theme color for my site by using the Panel: Theme Colors-> Header -> Header Background Color.

After saving seetings, only the desktop banner changes color but the mobile banner remains as gray. Have scanned through all documentations and options to update mobile banner to no avail.

Could you please advise?

Hi,

I have been struggling with this for a few days now. It seems to be random and sometimes the website shows the beautiful mobile site but most of the time it shows a stripped down version just showing the latest articles.

How do I stop it from showing the “latest articles page” and just show the mobile site for this? Also, sometimes the web browser shows the latest articles page as well. I have attached pictures of how the latest articles page look like.

latest articles

Thank you very much for your help.

I guess, only one workaround for mobile version – to add Top header banner?
mock up – https://prnt.sc/109jtfg

Unfortunately, the Backgound ad (site skin) is poorly implemented in Newspaper. It allows only a clickable background in the sides of the theme, no header, no mobile integration.

Android and desktop are fine, logo was set via composer shortcode. I’ve assigned different IDs to desktop and mobile as read in a previous topic.
