thank you for your reply.
I want to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of mobile+amp and amp?

Hi,

The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.

Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

I think that you are referring to those 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4

You’ll need to add some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured

Thank you for your understanding!

Hey Calin,

I follow the steps and nothing will change. The color is the same (black) and share buttons are also available. on Newspaper V9.7.1 (latest updated)

I am going to the Theme Panel > Mobile Theme > Custom Code > Custom CSS and paste the code you’ve shared. But nothing will change.

What to do now?

Also, I will renew my subscription.

In older version, I edit the AMP plugin file and change the color code in body and remove the share buttons from there only. But I want to change it on newer one as well. So, please help.

Hi Calin,
the requirments are ok from the first install and everything worked like a charm till the last update.
I’ve spent the entire morning in trying to do all the things you suggested in the list with no luck (no plug in/no cache/htaccess edit ect. ect.).
I’m not using the child theme (it was on before the last update), because also if i replace the child files with the latest version on Theme Forest, when activated the mobile version stop working..so had to switch to the main theme.
Also tried to rebuild from zero the homepage on a blank new page but when i start the composer i have the same message and the editor doesn’t load at all.
Please help cause we are near Easter and it’s one of the moment of the year in wich we have a lot of traffic of the website.
THANKS.

Please ensure that you have properly done via FTP way according to our documentation and also, make sure that all of the old theme folders was overwritten when you update it. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, if the problem is still there, please remove the Mobile Theme plugin from your Plugins section and then, activate it again from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ky2hdaPidr0K

Hi

For hidden/remove the share buttons from amp you’ll need to add a custom css in Theme panel>Mobile theme>Custom css
.amp-mode-touch .td-post-sharing-top, .amp-mode-touch .td-post-sharing-bottom{
display:none!important;
}
.amp-mode-touch .td-header-wrap {
background-color: darkred;

}
Fell free to change the color.

Hello folks, when I activate TagDiv composer, the posts built with WPBakery are affected in a way that I have some elements that should be visible only on mobile and some that should be visible only on desktop, and these settings dont work anymore. They are always visible on both devices. TagDiv Composer is making these settings obsolete and they dont work.

Please look into this. BTW I bought 6 licenses of your theme and I am loving it, and I would really appreciate if you could solve this conflict between these 2 plugins. I am not using both page builders on the same page. Its not the issue.

Hi,

If you want to change the category featured for mobile theme plugin you can make this from wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/front-page.php
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/nzTK270s
Just make sure that the category you set it is in your website and have some post in that category.

Thank you!

Hi,
TagDiv Team,

First of all I would like to thanks to you for creating such a wonderful theme. Now, Let’s come to the point, Recently I installed the mobile theme on my site. Moreover, when researching the Google Search I found that two of my pages yields the same title and meta description. I have shared with you guys the screenshot to better understand my point.

Now, My question is Does Google consider it as a Duplicate content and Penalize my site. If so, could you guys please give me some solution. I really like to use Mobile+AMP configuration but looking at this I have changed the configuration to AMP only. You know what I mean.

Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/ndw40f

Hope you guys find a solution soon and let me know.

Regards,
Sanjay 🙂

Just an update, I have had to disable AMP because users were getting 404s when tapping on the links, and have set up a redirect.

Could you let me know when this is fixed? Essentially, despite having all the required settings selected, AMP was not working. It was not showing in the sidebar whilst the mobile theme was active.

Thanks

This is a great them, but there have been some big frustrations when updating. Things like having to change your post from ‘Default Template Style’ setting to ‘1’ or else all your articles/posts would show up blank.

For me the worst has been the abysmal Mobile plugin as it caused way more headaches than just letting the AMP plugin do its job. If you use a free plugin like Asset Clean Up, it will actually get your site speeding up in mobile mode to keep Google happy.

Hi.
In the author’s box, the end of an article, the author’s photograph is moved to the left and is not centered. It only happens when I see it in the mobile version. How can i fix this?

Thank you so much for everything.

Hi.
At the end of an article, in “Related articles”, in the image of the article appears the category of each article in black on the image.
When seen in the mobile version, it occupies almost the entire image, so it can not look good. Example.
https://japonpedia.com/tokio-en-helicoptero/
How can I remove the tag from the category that appears on the highlighted image?
Thank you.

Hello, since I updated the latest version of Newspaper, I use the mobile theme for mobile, and some pages cannot be displayed on the mobile phone. I don’t know what’s the reason.
These are the following pages, they can be displayed normally on PC, but they cannot be displayed on the mobile phone. Can you check the reason for me? Thank you.
