Using Current Version:
– Homepage has been set to “Optimize Preloading” of displaying additional news categories in Ajax Categories Drop Down
– Suddenly began displaying gray box instead of images associated with articles
– Switched to “No Preloading” and it solved the problem.

Tried to switch back and same issue. Cleaned all caches to no avail.
WORKAROUND: No preloading is fine for me, but others may run into this issue.

Hi,

We have tested our demo with Google Page Speed Insights and we bring this score -> https://www.screencast.com/t/P18UTcCg
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Lately, the Google Page Speed Insight seems to change the layout and is not always reliable. You should follow our useful guide in that case from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello everyone,

Please i need some help !

I have a website that target many french speaking countries in Africa. The problem is that the AMP plugin has in its settings/codes lang=”en-US” and i would like to change that to lang=”FR”.

Also, since each article is for a specific country, is it possible to optimize the plugin in order to have a specific href lang for each post ?

Thank you very much !

Hi,

There are a few topics you could check from the forum

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/theme-causing-high-cpu-usage-2/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/sql-querys-high-cpu/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-slow-to-respond/

Also some database optimization guides here

https://underconstructionpage.com/optimize-wordpress-database/
https://crunchify.com/better-optimize-wordpress-database-all-in-one-guide/

Coming theme updates will contain overall improvements in the theme, which should improve the theme load and speed noticeably. Can’t get into details as to what these changes will be however.

Thanks

Hello,

I would like to be able to modify the title tag of all the blocks that are in my footer and sidebar. They are all in <h4> and I would like them to no longer be title tags. For example, the “instagram” block or the “last items” block are <H4> and I think it is not optimized for my SEO

How can I change this?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

Notice that the Speed Booster is an optional plugin and if you are using another untested plugin with the theme, this plugin will be automatically disabled. The speed booster is an optional plugin and it is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that, they add many plugins and some of them are not written fine so the developer took this decision. If you want to always enable speed booster, delete this code from speed booster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Hi Jose,

Hi,

Seems I completely misunderstood everything, sorry about that.

The mobile menu will appear after all the page resources are loaded. While the page is still loading the menu will be unavailable. I don’t think there is a solution to speed this up by code.

The included mobile theme plugin is more optimized for mobiles, it will simplify the website and provide a noticeable improvement in terms of speed on mobile. Maybe make some tests with it and check the differences

Thanks

Hello,

I have been working for a long time on the optimization of my web pages, trying new things, looking at every corner, installing and uninstalling….

Finally, I got a good optimization, thanks to my work and the help of the tagDiv team (I made many queries here).

I have created a complete tutorial, explained step by step, so that all of you can optimize your web pages too (FREE TUTORIAL).

It’s written in Spanish, but if you’re interested, you can use the Chrome browser to read it in English. The Chrome browser automatically translates texts (right click – translate).

I’ve invested a lot of time in this. I hope you like it.

https://beseomyfriend.com/optimizar-newspaper-pagespeed/

Newspaper theme optimization helps to have a higher loading speed, mainly on mobile devices.

This is very good for improving the user experience and reducing the percentage of rebound. Speed is a key factor in SEO, because Google values it more and more.

Here I also leave an example of optimization, even using Adsense blocks:

Do you Want to see your current score? Use Google PageSpeed Insights (free)

Hi,

Could be a database problem, the search results may be affected by a slow or not optimized database. You could contact the hosting provider to check if there are any problems at database level, they should be able to investigate this.

Thanks

Hello, i just bought a WP Rocket licence and it increased my website speed !
I still have one issue with the lazy load. According to Google Page Speed Insights, i could increase by 5sec the loading time with the lazy load, witch is enable in mm WP Rocket, but it seems not working on auto resizing by the theme
Here is my website : https://stephenkingfrance.fr/
Here is an example of what is not included in the lazy load but that PSI is asking me to optimize : https://imageshack.com/a/img921/1508/1Uo3Iq.png
Thank you !

I have reah through all of this steps and optimized the site and it still keeps loading 11 seconds. I have used your theme before but never had that kind of issue. Both these sites take an unusual time to load:

https://spordipanus.ee/
https://kasiinoboss.com/

Disabled all plugins but did not change a thing. Server is of top class and I have been always using these servers.

We aware of this problem, and what I can say is that there will be overall performance improvements made in the theme in coming updates, to further optimize speed.
