Working for me just fine.
Sounds like you have some issues with your setup.

Useful to disable all plugins, update theme, update plugins, and only use visual composer to tesr update. Skip using child theme.

Dont use anything that modifies code like wordfence or cloudflare unless you know what youre doing. Avoid jetpack.

Connection issues usually mean your server setup not optimized, or you are trying to connect to offline sources like jetpack stuff which crashes all the time.

I dont work here, just some feedback that it does work. But visual composer is a little wonky in its setup and updates. Often deleting the jscomposer folder completely only way to upgrade the damn thing.

Hmmm.. pesky gremlins!

Try this

a) resave permalinks
b) use wp-optimize to remove transients
c) clear your web browser cache/history

Might work, might not
(this is what I go through when this kind of weirdo thing happens ..)

Hi Bogdan,

Thanks for your reply.

I just found out that it was caused by Autoptimize plugin.

simchris
tagDiv Member

a) try clearing cache on site if using one; reset update CDN if using one
b) clear cache in your web browser
c) clear transients using wp-optimize
d) make sure you have enough memory allocated to WordPress via the wp-config.php file

Hi there,

both plugins, autoptimize and Above The Fold Optimization damage the new version 7. i had to deactivate them, otherwise there would be a strange behaviour of my site (showed a kind of mobile menu on desktop or some code before showing the page). Do you know abaout this behaviour, do you have a workaround or a hint, how to get manage this?

Thanks.
Found that disabling Autoptimize worked.
Is there any chance to make it work with Autoptimize?

Its the posts featured on in the blocks on the front page which I would like to link directlty to another site

i.e http://hagg.la/ I would like the post to link to a different site (custom url) rather than: http://hagg.la/apple-server-most-powerful-rack-optimized-server/

Hi,
Ok Bogdan. I’ll tackle this problem later. But right now as was my first question. My site http://www.tycoonzfitness.com/ is not optimized for mobile. You can also check it here,

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

However, I’ve configured robots.txt file correctly, which can be checked here,

http://www.tycoonzfitness.com/robots.txt

It gives two reason

  • Content wider than screen
  • Links too close together

I’ve checked it several times by disabling all the plugins except V.C. But it seems, not to resolve this.
Please give me any helpful suggestion for this.
Best Regards,

Hi,

Please provide more details about some server settings that could affect this, so we can also check it on our side.
Also do you use a cache plugin? Did you optimized your site using this guide? – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Please make sure you meet the theme server requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ and also check the System Status parameters – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ especially the php memory.

To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load). To improve the loading speed look the MySQL query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.

Please create your own topics as this one was created one year ago..

Thanks!

Hi,
You can optimize your wp install to load faster by using this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
And also please make sure you have these parameters set: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!

Also my guide in the DIY > best of forums.

test one of your post pages, NOT your home page (or you will go insane, trust me!) šŸ™‚

Well … if you have not done so, you should update theme and VC plugin to latest version as WP 4.5 changed the version of jquery used and so lots of things “broke” — there is a workaround for advanced users to load older version of Jquery, but likely too much for you.

I would first try updating your theme and VC plugin if not already done ….

a) try clearing cache – please tell me how to do this
* if you’re using a caching plugin, or using something like GoDaddy which has a “cache” feature — you need to “clear” it after updating a theme.

b) try turning off lazy loading images – please tell me what are they, all images are very-very small
* this is one of the options in the theme; see the docs on how to use the theme.

c) try not using JetPack or Photon – dont have them
* good šŸ˜‰

d) try clearing transients with wp-optimize please tell me how to do this
* install the plugin, “wp-optimize” (free on wordpress.org), and then use it !

Thank you!

(( I don’t work here, but using TagDiv themes for 2.5 years and WordPress since 2004 … )

Hi,
Unfortunately the plugin is not tested so we have no idea of it’s functionality. Plugin implementations falls beyond what the theme support can offer you. Sorry. (It worked on my end. The fields displayed properly.)
Try to disbale all opther pluigins except visual composer and the Optimizepress plugin to see if there is no plugin conflict. Unfortunately I cannot provide any solutions for it.
Thank you for your understanding

In my page : http://www.objectifs-fitness.com/programme-fitness-femme-beleza/
(Used Optimizepress)

The text typing in shield seems to be hide, or “name” and “email” text doesn’t appear. Sorry but it’s urgent :s

Last time you found me a quick super CSS solution.

Thank you very much

Hi,
Please disable ALL your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again to see if there is any improvement. Please follow this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ as i have checked your site with google pagespeed and saw that you need to optimize your site.
Thank you!

Myself have issue with render-blocking JavaScript and CSS… and and no plugin can fix it, how to?

I see demo theme that has 90/100 😐

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content

Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 6 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
Remove render-blocking JavaScript:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/…-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.3
http://demo.tagdiv.com/…s/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.2.1
Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/…r=2.5.7-5693.pagespeed.cf.UDybPq-xWG.css
http://demo.tagdiv.com/…css,qver=4.2.pagespeed.cf.Io6Fs5icoS.css

Hi

i’ve checked your site with google’s page speed tool and noticed that you don’t have any render blocking resources. If you check it for mobiles there appear some resources but google is very restrictive when it comes from page-speed on mobile devices and may interpret some thing in a different way.
Google penalize your site because images are not optimized: http://screencast.com/t/m4m0Vi3Hj9j Check our documentation for more details about image optimization: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and also have a look at google’s docs: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/OptimizeImages

Thanks!

Hello agent314,

Please notice that the CSS working in cascade (Cascading Style Sheet) and the first time take the code from style.css and then take the color that you have changed from Theme panel or through custom CSS area and because of this will appear that delay in loading. Unfortunately, it is not really a valid solution in this case because is the system’s behavior.
You need to optimize your site by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
The guide shows exactly the steps needed to remove render block js and CSS. There is no easier way to explain it. Please follow every step closely and keep in mind that speed booster has a compatibility list for plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/incompatible-plugin-detected/

We can’t offer speed customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you. Also, as you can see in our tutorial, these kinds of information are addressed only for ADVANCED USERS.

Unfortunately, page speed is something you will have to adjust yourself. There is no ā€˜promised speed’ as this depends on lots of things starting with your server. You need to optimize your site by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Sorry…. I don’t work here sorry.

You can view my tutorials in the DIY on optimizing the theme with all the various settings I use to get 95+ on desktop and mobile. But mod_pagespeed is just a tiny part of that.

Mod_pagespeed can also be optimized on server which – again, has nothing to do specifically with this theme. For example, is the server using opcache with mod_pagspeed ? Are all the default filters turned on?

TagDiv folk might be willing to share their settings. But, again this is not a theme related issue.

Mod_pagespeed alone won’t fix all the optimizations needed for fastest site speed/loading, etc. — it’s a “helper” …

It does look like you’re using my settings from my tutorial and posts here, so good start. You need to experiment with the other filter settings. Again, I don’t suggest doing any of the merge/move CSS/JS options, as I found it breaks things. Your mileage may vary šŸ™‚
