Hello Calin,
In terms of plugins, we have the following running:
Cloudflare
WP Super Cache
EWWW Image Optimizer
SWIS Performance
Auto Optimize
Interestingly, I don’t have the Inline CSS option in my theme panel. Again, we downgraded to 12.5.1 from 12.6 because of the layout and design issue that happened after the upgrade.
Hi commandeleven, if the problem was only about the layout and you also have extra cache or optimize plugins then it is possible to be a conflict between the theme option for inline css and those plugins – https://i.imgur.com/hz9fc5Y.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I see. what I suggest is to enable the error log to see what is registered there.
Also, what I suggest if is that you use a cache plugin or optimize plugin that optimize the css to disable the option from the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/TzHfP8Q.png
Thank you!
Hello, is there anyone able to HELP ME with the issue?
Upgradin php from 7.3 to 8.0 caused “deprecated” errors by majority (not only 5-10%, now its majority) of articles…
Now I tried to switch from php 8.0 to 8.1 and it is worst again – errors “deprecated” above all pages including submenus, and all articles.
It´s crazy!
The problem is reported inside wp-booster a td-util

HOW TO FIX IT? The switching back to php 7.3 is no the right way, many plugins incl the current problem with TAGDIV core of NEWSPAPER is not running below php 8.0!
Thank you
Hi iegexpo, did you disable/enable the new options for inline and aggregate css from the theme panel? Because if there is an extra cache plugin or optimize plugin for css used it can create problems – https://i.imgur.com/s2qpatr.png (this was one of the problems that some users had after theme update to 12.6 and used extra plugins for css optimize).
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the EWWW Image Optimizer to deliver CSS background images as WebP (inline CSS only), you need to activate the EWWW IO lazy loader.
I hope this will help!
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘string’ (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in /data/web/virtuals/83305/virtual/www/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_resources_optimize.php on line 8

Hello @Manikant !
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Unfortunately, AMP is not working with the cloud templates because the AMP’s layout is not fully customized.
The AMP version works best with default templates and not cloud templates. That’s why we integrated it with the Mobile theme plugin.
The feedback from our clients about AMP was negative and it is not used anymore, that’s why we didn’t add more customization options.
Thank you so much for understanding!
Hello,
Than you for letting us know about this. We’ll make some checks and see what can be the problem.
Also, if you are using some cache or optimize plugins what I can suggest is to disable the new option for inline css from 12.6, because it is possible to interfere – https://i.imgur.com/x8plsG7.png
Thank you!
Thanks for the info. I figured out that the CSS analyzer only works on pages. Any plans to have it available for posts?
I optimized my home page and mobile pages on thisoldcampsite.com using the tool and I definitely gained some speed.
Went to do it on my other site rvtravellife.com, which is a clone of the other site, and couldn’t get the css analyzer to be available on those same pages.
Any ideas?
Hello!
You need to optimize your website. Please note that page speed or optimization is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
I will add this issue to our investigation list, and if it is something we should modify in the theme, we will do it as soon as possible.
Thank you for understanding!
Hello!
You can go to Newspaper -> Plugins and there you can upgrade, install and activate that plugin if you need it.

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Edit every article and add their own source at the bottom of the page in Gutenberg: https://prnt.sc/luIJRVlP8V5X
After that, click view and you need to edit the single template with the TagDiv Composer. You need to add this element in order to display the source:https://prnt.sc/97eVV4BPsqtK and this one: https://prnt.sc/OsPqRrnQUL8K for via name. Save an view the results.

Hi gstraton, I just checked your website and I see that you have now the Newspaper v12.5.1 but the problem is still persisting, the search is not working, I tried it on both mobile and desktop.
Now if the problem appears only when you are not logged in, then it is a problem caused by a cache plugin or optimize plugin that is interfering with the theme JavaScript.
Thank you!
Hi sabedott,
If you have problems with the website layout than the theme update and you also use a cache or optimize plugin, then it can be a conflict between the theme option for inline the css and the one from the plugin. What you can do is to disable the theme option an clear the cache and check if the problem is resolved – https://i.imgur.com/iQR12eR.png
Thank you!
Hello @xenia.arg !
Everything can be fixed. I can see the mobile theme displaying on the desktop and mobile versions too. This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version. We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.
Thank you!

Hello!
Disable the lazy load animation from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/O5pfqQdb
Optimize your website and eliminate multiples blocks from your page.
Try to use less plugins.
Make sure you use the latest update of the theme and plugins.
Thank you!
Hi, if you are using the mobile theme plugin and you have Newspaper v12.6 please check the inline css option from the theme panel to be off – https://i.imgur.com/6QIAL32.png (this can interfere if you are using other plugins for cache or css optimize).
Also if the amp is used without the mobile theme plugin make sure that this is set on “reader” -https://i.imgur.com/VoeQ4Dn.png
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately I do not quite understand the problem, can you please provide some ore details and a link to the website where the problem can be checked?
The images are not showing in blocks or inside the posts?
Is this problem only when you are not logged in? If so, then it can be from a cache plugin or optimize plugin.
Thank you!
The image son flex blocks are also set as background image. No as an optimized version for images and elements that can be display in a module is the module builder -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-builder-flex-loop-builder/
Now if the plugins can not convert the image in webp (or the can but the blocks can not get the webp format), the only remaining option is the lazy load that can improve the options – https://i.imgur.com/UnUEc5j.png
Thank you!
Hey Calin,
thanks for getting back! I use one of these plugins. I just saw except from the tdb-featured-image-bg also the images in the sidebar (Flex Block) are not loaded as webP. I use Performance Lab and EWWW Image Optimizer. The normal images in the posts are loaded as webP. Is there something i have to activate in the theme panel in order to deliver webP?
All the best,
Daniel

Hi danna, the featured image from “tdb-featured-image-bg” is the image that is set on the article, unfortunately the theme do not have for the moment an option to convert it in webp, this however it can be done using an extra plugin that optimize the images and converts them in webp format, one of those plugins that can be try are mentioned in this guide: 7 Best WordPress Image Compression Plugins Compared (2023)
I hope this will help you!
