Hello Anamaria,

we have several problems related to the load.
We would like to make the theme lighter, but we don’t know what can be optimized/removed in the database.

If you could help us.

For example, I try to modify the theme font and when I do “save” it “buffering”

How to optimize the use of the theme in database?

Thank you,
Best

Thanks Calin for the feedback,
On the mobile device I see AMP option, however after AMP testing I get the ingo:
“This is not an AMP page. However, it contains a reference to the AMP version at this URL..”
the webise: https://djpromotion.com.pl/djraport/

If You compare desktop with mobile – the difference is that I lost sidebar widgets on the mobile one.

Reg: cache pluggin I’m using WP Rocket. Probably You know this pluggin support mobile devices. I set there in mobile optione: Enable catching on mobile devices. I’ve tested it and turned off this plugin but still without positive effect.

I have the “Autooptimize” plugin – the same – without positive effect.

Hello,

The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
I just checked your website and it looks that your images and thumbs are not optimized, for example, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize. Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/
https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.

By the way, we have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )

Siteground optimizer user?
Shut off the dynamic cache in the plugin.
Force https by the plugin.
I tried, it should be fine.

Hi Heels.News,
Only installing a theme will not provide 98/100 speed, you also need to optimized it, please make some teste with our live demos https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper/
Those are optimize using the above guide, also for mobile is use the mobile page template, also we are using the new tool css analyzer https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/

I think the user is referring to the claims on theme forest.
https://i.imgur.com/gYs6vlP.png
It states 98/100 Excellent Google Optimization.

With my site and a fresh install I got a speed of 20/100 on mobile, then I followed all the suggestions from support

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/
https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/

And now I’m at a 28/100 on mobile.
Is there a solution for this or was the claim on Theme Forest unfounded?

Hi,

This is the website I am working on https://new.salutevestra.ro/
I optimized the mobile pages (not using Mobile Theme Plugin)
I would like the tablet landscape to show the desktop version, but it seems like a combination, the content is pulled from the mobile page, but the header from the desktop.
Is there a workaround without manually adjusting each page/viewport?

Thank you,
Angela

Hello!

I just explained you above that you are not able to customize so much the mobile theme version. So, unfortunately, you can not move the elements on the page, but what you can do there is to deactivate some elements(show/not): https://www.screencast.com/t/mrZoW8PdiQUm
Also, with mobile theme plugin enabled, you can not change your footer.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Please note you should deactivate the Mobile theme plugin if you want to use mobile pages.

Hello,
I just checked your website and this seems to display on mobile the responsive version -> https://i.imgur.com/cDTMuYX.png -> https://i.imgur.com/LjFtawG.png
Usually, when the amp and mobile version have the same layout, you are using the mobile theme + amp plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/tlHypqR.png also when you are redirect from mobile on amp you have this option enabled – https://i.imgur.com/qyCPzya.png

Hello,

I’m trying to optimize my mobile theme since it’s scoring poorly on PageInsights. I have opportunities to eliminate render blocking resources, removed unused JS, and unused CSS. When looking at the files that it’s telling me to fix, they all seem to be ‘Minify’ something or another. Does anyone know what this is and is it important?

mydomaind.com/wp-content/cache/minify/14f92.css
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/84b1b.css
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/818c0.js
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/6d26d.js
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/14f92.css

Are the files they’re saying are slowing things down. If the file is needed, is it okay to have those load in the footer or should I keep them how they are when first installing the theme?

Thanks!

gooma2

Basically, you optimize your theme as every theme out there is going to have issues since how many plugins you have also determines this along with how many blocks, extra things you use.

Our Newspaper site has gotten up to the 77, 96, 93, 98 score, but it’s been two months of researching everything that is suggested. There are a lot of factors including server, which version of PHP you are running, which caching programs you use, if your using webp, etc.

It seems overwhelming at first, but if you just break it down one by one, it’s all easier to deal with.

thefeedski

I’m mainly curious if it’s the theme not optimized as well for Mobile or what? Should I go about finding a different them just for mobile users that has better speed?

Hello !

As you can see here on GTMetrix: https://www.screencast.com/t/nD0t2gpxrdU ; https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.prokrecka.cz/0NYs76Xv/ The issues come from autoptimize not being set up properly, you also have some images that are too large. And also the ads mut be optimized.

Thank you !

Hi, I’m noticing that search console is saying that urls are not optimized for mobiles since I updated yesterday. This was not happening before (only for a few pages) but now all the ones which google spiders ask to show the error. I have changed nothing, just updated to 10.4. Search console says my fonts are too little to read it, content with more width than screen, clickable elements to close one from another. As I said, this problem has appeared since the update. Urls still showed in google result but I´m worried this advertise / error could have any serious consequence to my SEO.

Any idea? My website is: http://www.loslunesseriefilos.com (not using mobile theme and no amp, one more time NO PROBLEM WITH THIS BEFORE UPDATE)
